A New Look - and I am a Guest at Cute Card Thursday!

Before I get going with my card - So what do you think of my "new look"?  I guess with all the changes I have been through this summer I felt like I needed something a bit simpler - so I changed things up a bit. I was actually just thinking and looking at changing my blog - and oops.. well now I had too.. LOL be really careful with buttons when trying things out! But this feels good, and who knows I may just switch up the header from time to time -

Now to business! My fellow Stampavie DT Buddie Leann asked me to be her guest at Cute Card Thursday Challenge Blog - YEA! I love this challenge! I haven't played there in a little while, got a bit consumed with a new Job - lots of animals - family - and well lately health. But now I am focused and ready to take on things! So this was a great time for me to play with the girls at Cute Card!

So for my first Guest Spot - the challenge was to be a "Material Girl" - love that! And now I have a song in my head to craft too... LOL  Seriously the challenge is to use Fabric on your card, great challenge once I figured out where I had put my quilting Fat Stacks when I moved into my craft room... over an hour later... Taa Daa! Found them!

I first was thinking of a patchwork layers - - - then well.. I looked over and saw my Sizzix Dies - So I cut out some flowers and leaves. Funny thing is I made the entire card pretty much before I even started coloring my image!! I NEVER do that! So a few details - Yellow Bazzil card stock base, with DCWV Nanna's Kids boys pattern paper, white cards stock punched with Martha Stewart's Doily Lace border Punch, and a epoxy sticker from Cloud 9 - Then those Sizzix Die Flowers and vine with button centers!
Do you love that image? It is one of the BRAND NEW Sarah Kay images from Stampavie! This is Sabine watching the Snow Fall - now after I finished the card I thought... hmmm watching snow fall and my fabric flowers? Well Maybe it is the very first snow fall and these flowers are hardy fall flowers? LOL Oh well... I colored with my Copics, and then added some stickles for that icy snow on the windows.
One more look at those flowers! They were fun, and I love the country look the frayed edges of the fabric - :0)

Now pop on over to Cute Card Thursday Challenge and see all the "Material Girls" having Fun - and thanks so much for letting my play with you!!!

Need to get a move on - today is my "Eye" Fitting day!! Then Saturday is her painting day and I get my eye! YEA! It is almost all over!! Well.. as over as it will get, me- I am still getting use to the new vision, but feeling pretty normal most of the time.. as normal as I can and usually am that is - LOL

Have a wonderful Thursday
HUGS and-
