Animal Crackers - Sunrise

Howdy -

This last week early in the morning I saw all the Donkey Girls standing in the pen and they were just gorgeous in the rising sun.

A little Artsy... Has a 70's feel doesn't it? They love those tall "flowers" .. Yes Weeds. They love standing in the weeds hiding.

Gabby was really beautiful standing in the morning sun and relaxing. I am sure they had been up grazing in the night, they were all really sleepy.

Isn't she beautiful. All thought it is harder to see in the sun... so I got a better shot with out the sunrise too bright behind her -

Sweet and pushy girl and totally loved.

It was early... Maybe too early Lacey was still very sleepy...

The girl yawns like no other!! She is so funny.

Then I heard a little noise coming from the fence.

Miguel was talking to a group of girls at the fence. Primarily Jazz, he had lots of interest in Jazz. Hubby and I like to figure out what each donkey's voice would be like and what they are saying. We figure that Miguel speaks like the voice of Puss in Boots... Antonia Banderas... a little "Hey Baby how's it going?' Ha.. really it has to be how he would talk!

Olive Oyl sure is pretty in the sunrise as well. All the colors just really become vibrant.

Such a sweet little girl. "Daddy's Little Girl"  Gorgeous!

Now this next shot is Moxie... every morning this is the pose outside the back door.

She is so calm and just sits and waits so patiently for her breakfast. Sits and waits for Hubby to feed all the donkeys, all the goats, the chickens.. and then finally Moxie gets her breakfast.

Don't worry everyone gets their breakfast and is happy and full before we get out breakfast. Always must take care of the kids first!

Hope you have a blessed wonderful weekend!

Whimsy Stamps - Gingerbread Love

Howdy -

Just love this new image from Whimsy Stamps. "Gingerbread Love"

Every year I have some fun with a new Christmas image and make a ornament for my craft room. This adorable little Gingerbread Couple are just perfect. Now I need to come clean my first project with these two cuties was a pillow box with my Sizzix Big Shot Pro Pillow Box die... Never before have I had a die get stuck in my machine. So stuck that die broke apart and all the metal pieces fell out! I was heartbroken... loved that die. I just don't know why it broke...anyone else have that happen? So I re thought my little couple and decided they could hold hands on an ornament.

I colored with my Copics and then cut out the little couple. I then found my Whimsy Shapeology Double Scalloped Circle Die and cut out a dark red base for the ornament.  Two circles from Graphic 45 Christmas papers. I sanded the edges and inked them for a more country look. Attached my two gingerbread men and added Viva Decor Pearl Pen for "icing". A button glued to a ribbon for a hanger. The sentiment comes with the gingerbread couple.

Hope you have a wonderful day - and enjoy a little crafting!

High Hopes Stamps - Have and Ice Day

Howdy -

Did a little winter card with one of the new High Hopes Stamps images - "Skating with Teddy"

Isn't she adorable? I colored with Copics (colors below) Then for the sparkle around the hat and coat I added Rangers Diamond Stickles. For the ice I went with a pale blue Viva Decor Paint Pen. Gives it a slick ice look for sure. I cut with an oval Spellbinders Nestie, then a mat of another Spellbinders die. More of the Viva Decor for some embellished pearl dots. the papers are all from Kaisercraft's Bundle of Joy collection. Normally baby papers, but the colors are wonderful for this winter card. I sewed down the layers with matting of off white card stock with the dark blue green teal card stock.

The band in the middle has two bands of Martha Stewart Embroidered Floral punch. The sentiment is a great new High Hopes sentiment "Have an Ice Day" love it - I added a little light blue for that nice cold ice feeling.

Inside more of the same papers -

Animal Crackers - It's Raining Men...

Howdy -

It's Raining Men! Hallelujah! - It's Raining Men! Amen!
I heard this song a few days ago and it has been in my head driving me totally nuts! So when I sat down to do my blog post I thought I would use it and pull out photos I have taken the last couple weeks of "the men" here  - and I am sorry if you will now be singing this song for days as well...

Coffee - this guy is such a handsome man. And are those good looking ears or what? His nickname has always been Ears. When he was young Hubby use to tell him he would grown into them... but they just grew along with him. And I love them!

Flavio is one of the younger men on the farm.

If you remember he has always been very skittish. We have one that once in a while is always cautious and just isn't the obnoxious friendly baby. He finally after a couple of years has determined that we are ok. And finally is in the front of the group for his head scratches and loving. He is such a handsome guy too.

Felipe - all man.

Felipe is one that is all man. I was hoping that one day someone will be looking for a handsome stud Jack. Maybe one day... but for now he is living with us and is always a sweet friendly man, unless there are girls near by then he has work to do... strutting up and down the fence, calling out and telling all female he is there and he is handsome,  even though he has no chance of reaching out to the girls, he can still look good and show off his testosterone to every female in the area.

Now this is my baby Sergio. And he will one day give me some really stunning babies I am sure.

My orphaned bottle baby, I am his Momma. Right now I just don't have the extra pen for Sergio to have his own area and his first girl friends. One day we will get him a space. For now I am ok with him being my stunning baby.

Wyatt always into something. A typical teenage boy...

Wyatt is on our for sale list, but now he is just fine keeping his brother Doc Holiday company in the young boys Goat pen. But Wyatt has more personality and trouble than he knows what to do with. Here is is rubbing his head up and down scratching his horns on the fencing. And yes... tearing down the fencing. You have to love goats they are SO destructive! And bored little boys are the worst. Good thing he is cute...

Ted E. Bear

This guy cracks me up nearly every single day. He is just so funny. I think he knows he is funny... I am being serious here.  Hubby had brought in a truck load of hay this last week.  Ted followed him up the drive just to see if the load would be left alone even just a second. Hubby ran in to change clothes so he could unload. Ted didn't realize I stayed outside to be on watch. He reached over the side of the truck for a giant bite and I called out his name. He quickly sat his head down on the side of the truck, his eyes rolled and looked at me. And I could almost see a bubble appear over his head. "Who Me... I am just resting and looking to see what we have here...  I would never tear apart one of these great smelling bales of hay... Never... "  Two seconds later he grabbed a hunk of hay and trotted off in front of the truck just in case he was going to get in trouble. Which he never does. Even when he created that dent in the top of my tailgate there... yep did that with his head when the tail gate was left down and he decided it would be fun to flip it up and down with his head and create a whole lot of noise. He loves doing that. But we love him to pieces... so it doesn't matter that face and big brown eyes always gets him out of trouble.

Hope you enjoyed a few of "the men" here on the farm. And I am so sorry that song is now in your head ... admit it you can hear it... you are starting to hum it... tapping your toes... and now sing it out...  "It's Raining Men! Hallelujah! - It's Raining Men! Amen!"

Have a wonderfully blessed day -

Whimsy Stamps - Emi and the Giant Pumpkin

Howdy -

Today I did some Trick or Treat coloring with one of the new Whimsy Stamps images from Lizzy Love. "Emi and the Giant Pumpkin"

I colored with my Copics - the plan was to do light coloring on her.... Just wasn't feeling right and I kept adding and adding color. Just how I roll I guess.  I found papers from Kaisercraft's Art of Life collection. Love the vintage feel, to me she needed a little more grown up paper, not Halloween paper. I zig zag stitched all my layers together. Then stamped the sentiment and colored that with the same colors. LOVE that this sentiment comes with the image. So you get both for one purchase.

The die cut is wonderful, love how dramatic it is in black. Great die from Whimsy - "Lace Doily Corner" this is the large size it comes in a mini as well. To add a little sparkle I found one of my Ranger Stickles in a Paprika. Great dark orange color that was perfect for this card.

The inside is same papers from the outside -

And the Copic colors used -

Had fun with this one, she is a little spooky but really pretty too. Does that make sense?

Hope you have a wonderful day -

High Hopes Stamps - Joy Ride!

Howdy -

Today for my High Hopes Stamps fun I went for a little "Joy Ride"  -

This is image is so fun that it really deserved the total focus on the card. So I created an easel card but with the fold to just sit up the image. I colored with my copics - then sewed down the layers on a deep red card stock with pattern papers from Teresa Collins Christmas Home collection. Really bold Christmas papers that are perfect for a great fun image like "Joy Ride".

I dug deep into my stash and found these black rhinestone flourishes. I think they work, maybe? I also added some Ranger Stickles Lace on the edges of the hats and her coat. Sadly there is a tiny bit of red running. For the sentiment I used the great new "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" Sentiment. Love the size of this image - perfect for you holiday cards!

Here is the card laying flat -

Animal Crackers - A little Breeze

Howdy -

A little Breeze -  Yesterday afternoon we had a little shower, lasted possibly 3-5 minutes, but after that the breeze was really nice. Took away the humidity, and it was just nice. Everyone was really enjoying it -

Alex was screaming out to let me know how much he was liking it...

Ok, first he probably was actually screaming out wanting a little treat... we had some stale cereal the other day and took it out for the goats to enjoy. Hey it was shredded wheat... so it wasn't bad for them. It was a first for them, and now they think it should be a regular. And second, yes, Alex is one of our Adult Guy Goats - and yes Hubby and I agreed that the boys had to go to auction and decided it was best. And then we just keep putting it off. Hubby really loves these guys, and they are really sweet. Once things calm down we are just going to have to build them a larger forever pen and just agree they belong here. Sigh... such saps!

Next I found Thelma .. she was running around talking and sniffing the air. She is still so young she has no idea what a "cool front" is. She only knows heat and humidity. She soon will find Fall and I am sure she will love it as much as we all do!

Went to say Hi to Black Jack - sometimes when he sees you he will run to and hee haw and just has to have 110% of your total attention and get that all important must have rear end scratch from you. Then other times....

He won't even acknowledge you are in the world. I called out to him, I yelled his name, I even tried kisses sounds and the promise of that rub! Nope... whatever that little weed is he found is just too important and he won't even look up at me.

Leon now.. he was watching me really close. All that calling out and kissing noises I think he just thinks I am a bit nuts.

Stunning Rooster - I am so excited waiting for the first eggs from Eleanore and hoping that Leon and Eleanore might give me my first "home grown" chicks!

Now Chica... she was more interested in watching the Guineas and Goats.

She is such a beautiful little girl. And she was so mesmerized watching the Guineas chase around the goats. Maybe she was just thinking "Man I am glad there is a fence between us" She just isn't sure about those birds.... LOL

Speaking  of beautiful little girls - I had a couple photographs from last week I didn't get to show. And I just have to share them -

Miss Moxie -

She is doing so well. And is getting so much attention to make sure she is happy. Maybe getting a little pudgie recently. We have been grilling more, and a little extra hamburger, steak, chicken and hot dogs here and there sure is yummy! (actually buy the all beef hot dogs just for her.. LOL)

One more from last week! I actually captured a shot of Scaredy Cat! She had just come from the water bowl and was lounging on their bench in the shade.

I don't know if it is just that she getting a little more trusting finally after all these years. Of if she was just too hot and didn't care that I was there unless I moved too fast of came very much closer. Good thing for the zoom lens!

Hope you enjoyed and I do hope you have a wonderful blessed weekend!
