Whimsy Stamps - Bunny with Daffodil

Howdy -

Totally had some fun with the new Whimsy Stamps image "Bunny with Daffodil" by Lee Holland. Sweet little bunny smiling at a lady bug while holding a daffodil. Adorable.

I colored with my Copic Markers (colors below) and then found some fun springy colored patter papers from DCWV. I sewed down the layers and centered my image. My sentiments are Whimsy Stamps Dies - Happy Large Word  Die  amd  Birthday large Word Die .

A few buttons in one corner and a fun birthday card -

Animal Crackers - Spring, Shake and Roll

Howdy -

Well SPRING is officially here. And things are really growing! Our front pasture is finally showing the colors of spring with the first of the flowers. Indian Paintbrushes, and soon we should see a few more bluebonnets.

Hubby caught a great photograph of Cocoa and Valentine enjoying the afternoon in the sun surrounded by the flowers.

They do look pretty standing in the flowers don't they?

Found Leon enjoying the spring weather as well... talking and showing off to the girls next door. He is a handsome young guy isn't he?

And then he decided to SHAKE off things and start strutting all over again.

He is funny... but don't tell him, he thinks he is totally cool.

And for a little ROLL, I found Miss Moxie enjoying a little back rub roll in one of the donkey pens. Oh my that girl is never clean for long, she loves rolling in the dirt.

Love this shot of Darlene - My old lady...

We have put Bella into a smaller pen near the house to keep a close watch on her as she is really starting to show her signs of a baby coming. And since her BFF is Darlene we decided until it is time for the delivery we would have Darlene keep Bella company in the pen. Ok so neither of them are super happy being in a small pen away from all the girls. But as long as they are getting fresh hay they are dealing with it.

Libbie in her new bed... Yes. that is a hole with stuffing coming out. I asked what happened to her pretty bed and she put her head down and gave me this sad looking little face.

Now how in the world can you be upset with that face. We will just have to fix her bed and move on. Will get her a new one if we have too. A better sewn one next time I am thinking. You can see in the photo only one eye is flashing back, she is totally blind in that one eye and most of the time she copes just fine. She still bumps into a few things from time to time. But she has learned to not move full speed if she can't see well so bumping isn't to hard on her. Love this girl so much -

Hope you have a wonderfully blessed weekend - A very blessed Easter Sunday -

Whimsy Stamps - Rose Garden

Howdy -

Today I am showing you one of the new release images at Whimsy Stamps. I just fell in love with this one as soon as I saw it. This is "Rose Garden" from the Art by Mi Ran Collection.

I colored with my Copic Markers (colors below) and then colored a second stamped image for the corners, I cut them out and then pop dotted them over the first image. Really gives her the look like she is behind the roses doesn't it.

Matching up to some papers from Kaisercraft Storyteller collection. I zig zag sewed the layers together. As well as sewing the image to a mat of the pattern paper. The die cut corners are also from Whimsy Stamps, the Corner Die Set.  A few Viva Decor Pearl pen dots create little pearls as well.

The vine dies behind my mulberry roses are also Whimsy Dies - one of the Vine Dies, from the Vine Die set.

Those mulberry roses were yellow. I took my Copic's and created roses to more closely match my image and my papers.

Inside more of the same papers.

My Copic colors used -

I can see me using this image many more times in the future... thinking purple roses would be fun!

Please see all the new image over at Whimsy Stamps HERE!

Hope you have a wonderfully blessed day - maybe some roses in your day!

High Hopes Stamps - He Lives!

Howdy -

With Easter this coming weekend I pulled out one of my favorite Easter images... High Hopes Stamps "He Lives!"

This is such a beautiful image don't you think? I colored with my Copics (colors below) I cut it out with a Oval Nestie and then matted it with Hearfelt Creations Mat. I inked the edges of both. Then Layered pattern paper from Graphic 45s with a zig zag stitch. A few Viva Decor Pearl Pen dots to looks like little pearls around the mat.

Punched Martha Stewart Frond leaves and Branches, then mulberry roses. The colors on the mulberry roses were not right to match my card so I changed the colors with my Copic markers. now they have a perfect match!

Inside the card more of the same papers.

Animal Crackers - What a Difference a Week Makes...

Howdy -

This week has been very loud here... baby chicks love to chat. That makes Libbie bark. Then we moved the baby boy goats out of the main pen into the "Frat" pen. Man that was really LOUD. All three boys calling to their Mom's and then the Mom's calling back to them. After a day or two things got a little quieter, but Uno... that boy still is calling out to his Mom. In fact he has lost his voice from yelling so much and now just makes this squeeking scratchy voice. Just so sad to hear.

I always worry about putting baby boys in with more grown up guys. Sometimes things can get a bit rough finding out who is the toughest guy in the yard. But Doc, Wyatt and Spartacus have been just fabulous with their little 1/2 brothers.

But seriously with a face like this how could you be a fighter?

Total sweetheart here! Really need to get him some sort of barrette though... LOL

Centavo is the most independent of the baby boys. But that come from the fact his Mom isn't a controlling care giver. But he is a cutie!

Even with a cobweb on his face...

Uno really is a stunner. Even if he is a Momma's boy. He always looks like he is grinning to me. Such striking coloring.

Too handsome. And then there is little Luna - still the smallest of the three, but stands his own with his brothers.

His eyes just melt you...

And the chicks... WOW WOW WOW They have grown SO much in just a week. And their feathers are already coming in!

They have moved into a larger home this week. Mainly due to the fact they were already trying to flap their wings and scare me. I just knew they would get out of their box. But now we have a water trough in our spare bedroom! LOL Lots of room for them to run around and much higher sides. They love the vintage tire ash tray I put in for them to perch on.

This one was really interested in that large black object I lowered down and snapped, now the flash, that caused quite a stirring!

Now I have two little ones that have become special to me. First is Wings. Now not sure if you remember I went last week to get chicks and really really really wanted some Frizzle chicks. But they sold out before I got there. Now we ended up getting a few Bantams. But we are thinking that this little one with the very very different wings coming in just might be a surprise Frizzle. Oh I hope so!!

Gotta love those wild wings!!

She is the only one that her wings coming in are more like the Flying Nun than fitting close to her little body. She is a tiny thing too!

Then there is "Spot". Has been special since the first day.

Has a dot on the top of her head and was the smallest of them all. Well she has given a little worry this week as she has had trouble keeping her balance and gets bull dozed by all the other chicks. And when they knock her over, she really has a hard time getting back up right and up again. She is doing a little better... but still worry about this little one. I do hope she will make it.

And we are are still watching Bella and her VERY wide belly. Thought maybe this week was her time. But nope she still isn't ready to deliver. I do hope she does it soon!!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend - hug something furry!

High Hopes Stamps - Birthday Belle

Howdy -

This week I am sharing a card I made for a BFF from High School for her Birthday last week. Couldn't share last week until she saw it. Hope it gave her a giggle... all though I think that coloring the grey hair was just a little tough on her... but she is "old" enough to handle it I guess. LOL

The High Hopes Image is "Birthday Belle" isn't she funny? Love all those candles! I colored with my Copics (colors below) She is too funny. I added yellow Ranger Stickles to the candles. And then Dimensional Glaze to the balloons.

Close up -

The papers are from Me and My Big Ideas Fashion District collection. I sewed down the layers and added a Martha Stewart border punch. The  sentiment is also a great one from High Hopes "Growing Old is mandatory" is perfect.

Inside the card more of the same -

Copic colors used -

Fun card that I hope she enjoyed. Made me giggle while making it for her. I did restrain myself a bit...had so many evil old cards in my thoughts... LOL Maybe next year...Bwahahahaha

Hope you have a wonderful day -

Animal Crackers - Chicks Chicks Chicks!

Howdy -

Lots of rain here this week. Well actually some rain here.. Lots of rain in the area and long drizzle days with a few short storms, that has added up to about 1.8 inches over the last few days. But man some areas around us have really had it. We are happy with what we have gotten cuz it is keeping it nice and green around here and Spring is going to be really gorgeous! The Spring wildflowers have already started showing up all over! Love this time of year. And really love it because the local feed stores get in lots of adorable BABY CHICKS!

Now when we arrived just 30 minutes after the chicks arrived they were already sold out of Frizzle Chickens that I was wanting. But they still had lots of cuties to choose from. We got Barnevelders and Wellsummers. Then as we were standing in line to pay, Hubby was pouting and said he sure wished we could have gotten some Bantams too. Now how can I say no to a pouting Hubby wanting more chickens? LOL so he ran back and picked out 4 little Bantams to add to our new group of family chicks.

Here is the entire group.

Sadly we lost one of the Wellsummers the first night. He just wasn't a strong one I guess. Everyone else seems to be doing good.

They are just too adorable. Hard to photograph... but adorable! I think this is a Barnevelder...

This is one of the Bantams. They are soooo tiny!

Bantam...

My favorite Bantam.. I have called this one "Tiny"

And I think a Wellsummer....

The Barnevelder and Wellsummer chicks are very close in color especially under the red of the heat lamp. We will know for sure as they grow up and get their adult coloring who is who. All are beautiful.

Speaking of beautiful. Came home the other day and found such a peaceful image of the three stooges. ( big standard donkeys )

I guess the night time thunder storms two nights in a row had them a bit sleepy and in need of a afternoon nap. We don't find all three taking it easy at the same time often. Someone is always off grazing or standing under a shade tree. But not this afternoon... Everyone was snoozing in the nice weather. Love these guys!!

Hope you have a wonderfully blessed weekend! And don't forget to Spring Forward on those clocks tonight if you are here in the US. Man I hate loosing that hour of sleep!
