Animal Crackers - Hows this for a grin?

Howdy -

Has been a beautiful week around here. A little warmer than normal for the last week of October. But pretty. The animal are all doing well... even Miss Macie I am thrilled to report. She has stayed in the large pen with the other ladies and has really improved well. We are SO Happy!!

I snapped this photo of Mr. Frankie to give you a grin -

This is his best flirting with the Ladies Face... Sexy huh? LOL!! The guy is officially retired but still has a nose for those ladies! He loves to flirt with the girls! Such a Ladies Man.. in his own mind...

Speaking of Ladies Man... Raffie is that for sure! What a stud!

Oh do so wish that it would cool off some here. Nice to have the warm weather so late. But I was really wanting to put some girls in to have babies next year. And it has still just been too hot. Had a couple of days where it looked like it was going to become fall and a little cooler weather but it fooled us.... I know I will soon be complaining that it is too cold. But that is me personally... the animals love it cooler.

And other men...  This photo cracks me up...

You would think all that concentration would be on the opposite sex... but nope. That is a serious stare for a large load of hay that "Dad" was driving in. Girls are priority... unless it is freshly cut hay!

Love the colors with these new chickens.

They were all laying well this last couple of months and now that the time change has gone into effect numbers are down again.... this weekend we will be hanging our lights I suppose.

 Moxie girl... LOVE this girl!!

I got just a tiny bit of her grin here. Hubby was chatting with her and she squinted and smiled for him. You just have to love this girl!

Now I had to photo a photo again this week of Valentine. Seems the shot last week of him slinging the box around was not a flattering view... So here is an adorable shot of that sweet boy.

Little Spoiled... Little bit of a Momma's Boy... Little bit lumpy... but LOVED A LOT!

Hope you got a smile this week again - and I hope you have a totally blessed weekend!

Whimsy Stamps - Warm Hugs Bird

Howdy -

Today I have been coloring up another new Whimsy Stamps image "Warm Hugs Bird" by Krista Heij-Barber

Just love these two birdies. I pulled out my copics to color and for some reason I went with blue... I wanted to do red, but then decided to go with non traditional blue and black for this card. I found papers from Authentique Bundle collection. I added Marvy Snow Marker for the snow on the branch and the tops to their hats.

I added some black vintage ribbon as a band and then used pop dots for the image so it had a little depth on the card. Three Viva Decor Charcoal Paint Pen dots in the corner to finish it off.

Inside the same papers.

Copic colors used -

Really enjoyed these little birds ... and there is so much more to see that is new this month at Whimsy Stamps. You can pop there quick HERE to see them all.

Hope you have a wonderfully blessed day - and see you tomorrow for Animal Crackers.

High Hopes Stamps - Apple Mouse Pie

Howdy -

Getting ready for the holiday season? High Hopes Stamps is ready! They have great image for all your favorite fall and winter holidays! Now first comes Halloween.... And we end the year with Christmas... but between there is THANKSGIVING! mmmm.... You just have to love a holiday that is about stopping to give thanks for all that we have and to EAT!

This image is Apple Mouse Pie... he is smart he went for the pie first!

I colored him with my copics (colors below) and then dug and found papers from My Minds Eye Lucille collection. I sewed down the layers after inking the edges with Rangers Distress Ink. A turquoise satin ribbon around as a band with a bow. Pearl adhesive embellishments in the corner. The sentiment "Script Happy Thanksgiving" is perfect! I punched it out with an EK Success punch that I inked the edges.

Inside more of the same papers.

Just loved coloring up this little mouse and his pie! Hungry for pie now though... LOL

Animal Crackers - Beauty and Humor

Howdy -

Our two little Bantams are sure beautiful... Red has come into his "Rooster-ness" He is just stunning and loves to do his share of tiny manly crowing. It is so cute. I know he would rather me tell you how powerful it is.. but it is simply cute. LOL

Both Bantams are very friendly, especially to Hubby. They are very attached to him, as he is to them.

Ok... So Jet isn't looking so friendly in the photo... more scary crazy... but she really is very sweet.

I think she was not happy with all my snapping photos. LOL

A little sad news this week, one of our Guineas died early in the week. Not sure of the cause. Old age? She was 5 or 6, not sure if that is old or not.

The other two seem happy and healthy. Hubby was very upset. He loves his Guineas too. Spring we will get more for sure.

While checking on the Guineas I found Jackie and Lizzie chillin' in the shade.

These two sisters are always together... Such good sisters. And both so beautiful.

This photo just cracks me up... you see Gato is our tester. Anytime we purchase something new for our antique business, she has to check it out completely....

A couple of weeks ago it was an antique school teachers stand, and this week she was totally in love with an old trunk I found in an estate sale. I used the trunk to pack up so old dolls I purchased at the same sale. Gato thought the towels in the trunk were just perfect to relax a bit. She wasn't happy when I made her get out, but I tried to explain I didn't want the lid to fall on her. I did take the towel out and let her lay on that a while to make up for making her move.

Snapped this shot out my dining room window yesterday morning. Valentine is going to be in trouble with "Dad"... Hubby must have left that empty box out when he was unpacking the truck....

Valentine decided it was a nice box and picked it up and hauled it off.... LOL They are funny sometimes, just like most children.

Hope you have a wonderfully blessed weekend planned. Family Friends and someone furry to hug!

High Hopes Stamps - Old Pick Up Truck

Howdy -

This new release at High Hopes Stamps has so much for everyone! Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas... and this wonderful "Old Pick Up Truck" - I am in love with this image!

Hubby and I are always pointing out old trucks and talking about the day we have one. So as soon as I saw this image I knew it was a must and I just couldn't wait to color it up and I also knew I wanted to match it up with the High Hopes Barn. A favorite background image of mine. And you just now that "Old Pick Up Truck" has put in a lot of hours working around this old barn.

The masked images are sewn down onto papers from My Minds Eye. Love the rich colors together. Then I found some Whimsy Stamps Dies Happy, birthday and vines that just worked to well with the image. It all worked well together and as an Easel Card!

This one was a super fun card with me - my roots with High Hopes Stamps. LOVE the country images... so me!

Animal Crackers - Pretty Girls

Howdy -

Pretty Girls - I so love my girls. Ok the boys just as much. But this week I spent a little time out with the gals.

Felicia is a pretty little girl -

She is one of the last girls available on our for sale list... but I really think I may have a very hard time letting go her, in fact I have avoided her a couple of times when we had people looking... I know bad huh? Can't help it...  She is Macie's daughter and has those same big eyes with long eye lashes. She is a beautiful little donkey...

Then we have Irene... one of our tallest ladies.

Not a great angle for her is it? Makes her rear end really look high up doesn't it? She is a sweet girl and despite her height I really do want to breed her with Raffie... he is so little I hope that we can get a cute little spotted baby from the two.

Raffie says yes.. he likes the idea!!

Timing Raffie... not quite time yet! LOL Now he is a looker isn't he? I always compliment him on how stunning he always is. Never a mess always sharp and handsome. My Smiling Donkey!

We released Macie this week... A little trial to see how she does. Already thinking we will put her back. She was showing so much improvement, and if the limping gets worse back in she goes for longer this time.

The girls were happy to see her coming back... Or maybe to see the special treatment she was getting with all those carrots?

Macie just walked on by and was so happy to be back into the large pen... will hate to have to pen her back up ...

She does look happy doesn't she? Speaking of happy...

Miss Libbie and her old bed. We have purchased her new beds over time. But she loves she old bed. Once in a while I can sneak it out and give it a good wash... takes her a few days to get it "right" again. But still is and always her favorite place to sleep... unless she can get ahold of any of "Dad"s" t-shirts to wad up and snooze on... those are great too.

Hope you have a wonderfully blessed weekend.

Animal Crackers - All for Macie

Howdy-

Well this week we are happy to say that Macie is doing much better!!

She is still not 100% - and is still in the small pen up next to the house, but she is moving around much better and although still limping, she is putting more weight on it and getting around. We have been just worried sick about her. Such a beauty…

You can see here how when standing still she pulls that back leg back and rest it.

But she is up and moving around and that is good. She has even been begging to get out of the pen and join the other ladies. Not quite yet old girl… Besides once you are back in the big pasture.. no more special spoiling. She is really loving the carrots and treats!

She has made new friends… not that she is too sure about them or them about her…

She will stand there and stare at the chickens for a while then look over at us like… seriously? What are these things? LOL The chickens will run up the fence to check her out then run back to their buddies like… see told you I wasn't scared of her…. LOL  They are now use to each other and get along and the chickens are helping keep Macie entertained while in her healing pen.

I stood and chatted with Miss Annie for a bit yesterday -

Annie is one of our first four goats… and I do love her. Lord knows I have to love her… this girl is my child that test my temper. Sigh… she has been much better since she now lives full time with Frankie. She is just not good in with all the other ladies. Despite her not having any horns this gal found it necessary to head butt and try and mow over all the younger goats. A sort of I am in charge type of "Queen of the pen" thing. Well a long while back I shoved her in with Frankie and that is where she lives. Frankie LOVES her and is very happy she is there with him… and all the younger goats are thrilled she now is not anywhere to play her in charge bully games. Ok… so she isn't the happiest… but she still has it pretty good…. she is in charge of Frankie after all… LOL

Maybe that is why one of her first daughters Chloe is like she is….

Chloe doesn't try and bull doze everyone but she isn't the most sweet friendly to "humans"… better than she use to be, but still not a loving goat. Those fabulous eyes and coloring is her saving grace. She does have fabulous kids! And as long as she stays "semi-nice" she is good with me. Now I will say the girl loves to have her photo taken! Always runs towards me for her glamour shot….  Or thinks I have food… one or the other. LOL

Found Wyatt finishing off what was left of breakfast late yesterday. We will not talk about how nasty stinky sticky dirty he is… but I will say this boy has one stud set of horns!

Ok the red coloring is not part of the horns… that is from rubbing and head butting the fence post. Don't you think standing and head butting a post is good way to spend the afternoon? It is a guy thing I guess… But seriously he has amazing huge horns. Just like his Dad Peso.

Hope you enjoyed my photos this week. And thank you so much for all the prayers and well wishes for Miss Macie. Keep them going! They seem to be working - praying for a full recovery for the old lady!

Have a wonderfully blessed weekend - prayers for those in the Path of Hurricane Matthew -  Oh and a VERY Happy Birthday to my Dad today… he isn't with us anymore, miss him everyday…. today his birthday really thinking about him… Love you DAD -
