High Hopes Stamps - Fishing Santa

Howdy -

How about a little Christmas in July? And one of my all time favorite fun Christmas image is High Hopes Stamps Fishing Santa

You just know that is probably what Santa is doing now with his summer vacation right?

He is adorable isn't he.. and look some shiny fish for his catch! I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then inked the edges with Rangers Tea Dye Distress Ink. Then Santa needs a little sparkle to him even in summer. So I added some Rangers Stickles Diamond. My papers are from Papers Studio's Beach collection. I liked that net looking paper with the fishing theme. My sentiment is a High Hopes Stamps sentiment that is just too perfect for the image! "Best Fishes for a Merry Christmas!"

Now make sure to pay attention this weekend for a new High Hopes Stamps release... seriously this release has me totally giddy! Does that give you any hints?

Animal Crackers - Shiny Donkeys

Howdy

The donkeys are SO gorgeous right now. They are for the most part all slicked off and shiny. Healthy beautiful coats.. and as I said gorgeous!!

First up here is Jolene...

This girl is a hottie! She is stunning isn't she? You can really see her "bracelets" on her legs. So Shiny and pretty. Of course she wouldn't look up at me that little patch of weeds were just too tasty.

Now Jazz she knows how to pose for a camera!

One of the old ladies but still a super model! Doesn't she look gorgeous. They are all looking so pretty right now. So proud of them all.

Now Sonia is a bit slow at loosing all her winter coat. She is a little behind but soon she will be really stunning too! And as cute as she is anyway how could she not?

Now I found Patti and Jazz cooking up a plan to steal some of Raffie's breakfast... Maybe if we go through here....

Jazz is playing it much cooler and seeing if Patti will pull it off first...

But first plan didn't work... so maybe under here???

Ok, so she got a few little scraps that blew close to the fence.. but no real jackpot! Sorry Patti... just not nice to steal Raffie's meal you know? LOL

Ok, so how is this for a grin? Ha... Louise was chillin' in one of the huts after a big breakfast.

Lets not tell her that she is wearing a piece of hay in her beard... so not lady like... LOL

One more photograph from this last week - My Hubby works so hard -

"We" were loading hay out of the field Monday afternoon. It was right at 100 degrees... It was hot! And I was driving with the air conditioning on! Hey the windows were down so I was feeling the heat too.. Ha...  Now before you ask why when it was so hot. You have to load out of the fields as they are working on the bales, and the best time to bale the hay is the heat of the day. If their is moisture in the bales they will mildew - so in the heat it is.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend. I am going to look at shiny donkeys :0)

Whimsy Stamps - Friendship Garden Sentiments

Howdy -

This week for Whimsy Stamps I was just dying to color up one of the new Digital Images. Have you seen Whimsy Stamps Digital Products? OH MY... papers that are so yummy and images that have you coloring in just no time!

This month there are a few new sets from Tracy Wray that just screamed to me! I was so excited to print them and color them. This is from the new Friendship Garden Sentiments collection. Three amazing images and FOUR beautiful sentiments to work with them!

Here is my first card with this collection... I know I will have many more in the future!

I colored the image with my Copics and then enhanced with a few pencils. (colors below)  I die cut the image with a circle and then shadowed it with the Whimsy Stamps Shapeology "Doodled Doily die" Love this die with those little hearts in the doily. The papers are from Prima's Tales of You and Me collection. The sentiment is part of the collection. I inked the edges of the pattern paper, the circle image and the sentiment and sewed down my layers.

Then to match up with the image I die cut two leaf dies and added lots of mulberry roses. I added darker coloring to the centers of each rose with my Copics to match them up with the roses in the image.

High Hopes Stamps - Playful Goats

Howdy -

This week for High Hopes Stamps I pulled out a fun and favorite image to make a special Birthday card for a very special friend.

This is Playful Goats -

I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then found papers from Prima's Something Blue collection. I sewed down the layers... lots of layers and used a cream colored base. Used High Hopes Stamps "Bold Happy Birthday" for my sentiment.

For my flowers in the corner, I tried my hand with handmade Foamiran flowers. First try.. I think they could get addicting, but I will need more, lots more practice. Martha Stewart Frond Leaf punches and then Viva Decor Pearl Dots for a little extra.

Animal Crackers - The Boys are Back!

Howdy -

So this last week we picked up two of our boys! Flavio and Patricio are now back home. We sold them earlier in the year. Now I don't want to say that they cattle where they are totally pycho nuts, but well... the cattle were afraid of the boys. Even if the one of the donkeys just looked up at them and took a step grazing, the cattle would bolt and freak out. So they asked us to bring them back home...

They moved back in with the boys in our new front pen. Their first time in the new pasture, and all seems to be friendly and happy. These guys all know each other. So happy grazing going on.. well Flavio is curious on why I was zooming in on him...

He is a handsome stud isn't he?

Speaking of handsome... Now how totally adorable is Doc??

If only he had a hair clip... We have talked about cutting those cute bangs, but I just don't know if I can! Love this guy so much!!! If you could only see those gorgeous ice blue eyes!

Two more handsome young men. Chuck and Hank..

Found these two guys chillin' in their hut. These 1/2 brothers are carbon copies of each other. Chuck is just a tiny bit taller, and he has little eye brows horns above his eyes. Other than that... hard to tell them apart.

Crissy was enjoying a little morning snack of a stick. Not sure how or why she thought it was so good, but she was really enjoying it.

She is a beauty even if she likes sticks as a snack. LOL

And last for today a calm grazing photo of my 3 standard stooges grazing...

They really were seriously into this area.. They keep it pretty mowed down. And they do look so pretty on it with it all green and nice. Funny we had just a tiny bit of rain last week and we got a bit of green. If we could do that every couple of weeks we would have plenty of grazing for our kids all summer!

Hope you have a furry friend to love on and hug this weekend.

Whimsy Stamps - Lazy Days of Summer

Howdy -

Whimsy Stamps today and with the heat here in Texas this image by Krista Heij-Barber called "Lazy Days of Summer"

Now isn't she lovely.. chillin' in her polka dot bikini. LOL She just cracks me up! I colored with my Copics (colors below) It comes with the sentiment so I just colored that up too! With a kraft card stock base, white card stock mats and then Paper Studio's polka dot pattern paper, to match her bathing suit :0)

For the band across the middle I found a satin ribbon that matched and layered Martha Stewart Loop borders on each side. I used the matching corner punch to create corners at the top of the card with Enamel Dots. Fun card don't you think?

Isn't he adorable??? I colored with my Copics (colors below) I love making Norman pop with lots of color.. background. colored heavily making Norman's white fur a bit brighter. I matched up Norman's clothing to pattern papers from Paper Studio's Beach House collection. I sewed the layers down and punched out an EK Success large double border. For my sentiment I used Ya Old Goat... giggle giggle... I punched out the sentiment is punched out with EK Success ticket punch.
