"Have I TOAD you??"

I just love this stamp from High Hopes! I am easily amused I know, but it cracks me up! This is one card, that when I finished I was happy, and looking at it makes me smile! I made this for my blogging friend Ila's sketch challenge at Artfully Ila! She is one talented lady! I love her stuff - and when I saw that she had a sketch challenge on her blog I knew it had to be a great sketch! And I wasn't wrong, this was a fun sketch and it has many layers to it, and lots of embellishments. And she is giving away some wonderful new High Hopes stamps too....oh I have really been wanting those!

I used some of my favorite Cosmos Cricket papers on a bold orange, brown and red Bazzill card stock. I stamped the cat tails first and colored then on another piece of paper I stamped this adorable generous little guy. They are both colored in with Copic Markers. The "ground" is stamped with my Stampin Up Mini dot stamp with 5 or 6 different colors. I was going for muddy grass... hmmmm. I high lighted with my white gel pen and the frog with a Spica Glitter pen. Oh and the cat tails have cinnamon stickles on them...just got that color and had to use it! Stitched all the edges placed it all together added the ribbon and the large red brads. Then instead of a flower in the corner I used two of my Fiskar Heart Squeeze punches and layered them, I just thought hearts fit the sentiment so well. Just about everything is pop dotted off the card, hope you can see it all!

My second card today is for the Tilda & Co Challenge Blog, anything Magnolia and I am happy. This weeks challenge was Ribbon Gallore. Now if you can't tell from the photo - the ribbon is the back ground. I found this ribbon at Micheal's a while back and just love the bold color of the corral and black. Then it has sat there, so bold it was really hard to use. Then I made the comment that it was so bold it could be a really cool pattern paper. Light Bulb went on! I used it to make a striped background. I stamped my new Chic Tilda and colored her with my Copic Markers in the same colors. She is just so stylish! I used a Hanna Stamps sentiment "Hey Girlfriend on the side of Tilda and doodled around the edges with a Sakura Glaze Pen. A simple card I know, but that ribbon just is so much I didn't want to add much more.
