For my card I wanted to do something a little bolder. I knew I was going to use Camilla's charms, but I wanted to background them with something, I had these beautiful shell charms that I got a long time ago at JoAnn's on clearance, well that meant I needed to use red and black for the papers. So I dug thru my stash until I found these two pattern papers that I liked together. I can't find where I put the pieces with the names...sorry I'll keep looking. That is what I get for cleaning up my desk.
I colored "A little help from Margot" with my Copics and white gel pen. And yes, I drove myself nuts doing that checkered dress! I then double matted the piece with black and red card stock and doodled the edges. I matted the two pieced of pattern paper with red card stock and used a white base for the card. I stamped the sentiment from Rubber Stamp Tapestry doodled the edge and double matted it. I then found three red Prima flowers and three Doodlebug flocked black brads for the centers. I put the charms and shells on red wire and hung from the back of the flowers. This card is really sharp in person, and the charms actually swing back and forth.
Now if you haven't seen the other DT cards yet you must take a look! They really found some cute ways to add some "Charm" to their cards! So take a look at the Sarah Kay Challenge this week and please have a go at it and post your link, there is a really cute prize this week!
Gotta run.. we are having Sunday breakfast at the local Cafe with friends, as we do every Sunday. And there is lots of rain in the forecast for today and most of the week. YEA!!! We so need the rain! Have a great Sunday and I hope you get to craft something today!
