This card says just soooo much!

I just love these Character stamps from Rubbernecker!!! I don't have all of them, but in time I might! This card is for the Rubbernecker Challenge, which this week was to use the colors Pink, Red and Grey.

Did that! Grey Bling Bazzil card stock, Red Bazzil card stock punched with my Fiskars Embossing Border Punch, and a piece of Basic Grey's Blush patterned paper in Red and Pink. I then color the image with shades of grey, pink and red. I don't know why I colored her robe grey, I wish I had done it in pink... I created a ribbon with a scrap piece of the red card stock and stitched it down with white gel pen. Now that sentiment is just me lately! And fits our "little lady" just perfectly! I hope it made you smile!

Well today I am already running behind. I accomplished nothing yesterday, as Baby Rosita was sick. I spent most all of the day in the barn with her. She is a little better today and hopefully by this afternoon will be up and running like normal.

Have a great Tuesday!

Cat's Motto

This card was started for the Rubbernecker Challenge this week. I guess it still sort of completes the challenge, but may be a stretch of the Blues challenge. We were asked to use Dark Blue, Light Blue and a Neutral. Well I don't know if it was that I was so sleepy, not much sleep with the birth of Rosie the night before. Or that I just couldn't find a Rubbernecker stamp that fit for me. Well this is what I came up with. I love this kitty. And the Motto is SOOO true!

"Cat's Motto: No Matter what you've done wrong, always try to make it look like the dog did it."

I used a dark blue piece of Bazzill card stock for the base, I then used a light country blue piece ran thru my cuttlebug to emboss and inked with a cream color to high light. The "wood fence" is stamped with a background stamp from Cornish Heritage Farms. This kitty can be positioned in so many ways but I think he just looks so perfect pulling his claws, so I sanded and then high lighted the "scratched" area. Kitty is colored in with my copics, I tried to layer the ink to make it look like hair. The motto is stamped onto the same light blue card stock then inked the edges. Ok, now are those flowers awesome or what! I found them in the bridal section of Micheals in the cutest little see thru pail... that I plan to alter real soon! They have a shimmer to them, then I stickled with a light blue, for the centers.

I hope they like my card, and don't think I blew the color challenge part to much! I have a new Rubbernecker order coming and have one that would have been easier for this challenge, but then I guess sometimes that is part of the idea... a challenge to make things work with what we have.

Happy Birthday Little Sister!

Yep today is my little sisters Birthday, so Happy B-day Melanie!!! This is not your "real" birthday card.. I am waiting to post it until after you have received it! he he he Hope the kids served you breakfast in bed, your husband brought you roses and cleaned the house while you were sleeping, and all your work was done by little elves. Ok, then after the dream you woke up and hauled the kids to the bus in the cold - Have a great day around the normal stuff!

I have some fun news!!! I won the March Fiskarscrafts sketch of the month! You can see my sketch in my post HERE I was so blown away! I loved the sketch challenge as soon as I saw it, and the photo has been saved forever waiting to use, it had to be perfect as this is one of my favorite photographs. Well it all came together, and I personally loved the end result. But to have won, makes it even more special!!! Thanks Fiskars you prove to me you are the best everyday!

Ok, to the card of the day... this started for the Rubbernecker Challenge and for my sisters Internet Birthday Card... then I realized as it was done it also fit the Papertake Weekly Challenge as well!!!

Rubbernecker Challenge was to use Lavender, Pink and Green - done

Papertake Weekly Challenge was to use Scallops and/or zig zags - done done!

How fun it that! This card is based with a Lavender Bazzill card stock, I just purchased a piece of Making Memories pink and green paisley paper, I wanted this to have the feel of an old handkerchief... so I layered the paisley paper on a scrap of Bazzill Scalloped edge paper and punched holes in each of the scallops. I bordered this with some vintage rick rack in the same bright green color. The image... isn't she a hoot, is a Rubbernecker Character stamp, again with those same baggy pantyhose. She is colored with my Copic Markers and high lighted with a white gel pen. I just love the pink foam rollers in her hair! I used my Nestabilities petite ovals to cut the image and the pink card stock. I put everything together and then "stitched" the edges with the same white gel pen. Then just for fun I added three pink gems to the oval! I just love this line of stamps! And it is all in fun... I am not saying my sister is this old! After all she is younger than I am and we all know I am only 29 - - - -

A photo of my Peace -

I took this photo a few days back. It really sums up my peace. I love just watching my donkeys. Especially in the evenings. I just lean against a tree and enjoy. While doing this the other night I took a few photos, this is one of them, and I love it. You can see Cheyenne and Macey taking their evening dirt bathes.

Now the second donkey photo is to introduce you to my babies from 2007, figured I had better let you meet them, since they are now sold and are going to a new home in the next week. You will know when you hear the crying... I will be very sad, I think hubby will even be worse. I know our "business" is to breed and sell these little guys, but these are actually the first to go for us. The dark one is the oldest, he is Cortez, and this is his younger 1/2 brother Julio... he likes for me to sing that "who who juuulio". They are both very spoiled and both love attention. I am gonna miss them BAD, I can't replace them, but the 4 babies coming would sure help!

Ok, and one card for today. I made this one for the Rubbernecker Blogger Challenge, this week the challenge is to use Turquoise, Green and Brown on your card, and of course their stamps. Well this little lady had been sitting there waiting patiently to be inked up. Although she really needs to pull them pantyhose up! The colors were a challenge for me. Then I found this great scalloped paper by Creative Imaginations in my stash. Those dots and the floral stripe is light green! I added the brown, and there ya go! I colored the image with my copic markers, and cut the ovals with my Spellbinder Nestibilites, doodled the edge with my Sakura Soufle Pens, added the Prima Flowers in green and brown with a turquoise brad. And that is ribbon as a border across the bottom and right side. It was a pain to get down! Little bitty! I love the saying! Just too funny!
