Howdy -

This is one seriously cute image from Whimsy Stamps and Sylvia Zet - This is Baby Giraffe... cute right?

Totally cute .. I colored with my Copics (colors below) and decided to make most of the focus on the image itself. So I printed my digital image a little larger and had fun coloring. Then I had a bit of doodle feeling going on and instead of sewing on this one I doodled around the edges! A couple of die cut words for sentiment and done! Simple and Simple adorable!

Whimsy Stamps - Bird Swing

Howdy -

Happy Easter!

Had some fun coloring some cute little birdies on a swing. This is Whimsy Stamps - "Bird Swing" by Sylvia Zet. Love playing with Whimsy Stamps Digital Stamps - instant versatile and easy storage!

Such a sweet image... now I started to go with light pastel colors, and then somehow I found a piece of paper from Paper Studios Petals and Blooms collection and those bright fun bold colors well I just had to go pink and black with this one! Fun right? I colored with Copics (colors below) and then cut out with a oval die cut and used an older Spellbinders mat. Layered up the papers with black card stock and pink card stock base, then sewed all the layers down with a zig zag stitch. Found a black and white gingham ribbon.. now it just didn't pop enough. So I colored it with my Copic - so it matched up to the bright pink and black! Love that!

For my sentiment I used the Whimsy Stamps Thanks Word and Shadow Die set.  I LOVE these dies sets! They really make a statement on your cards! They POP! A retired vine die for the leaves and then some mulberry roses cuz every vine needs some roses to match that paper and image!

I had so much fun with this one, just made me feel happy.

Whimsy Stamps - Daphne's Tea Party

Howdy -

This week I colored up Whimsy Stamps new image by Sylvia Zet called "Daphne's Tea Party". Just love Sylvia's cute images and this one really is adorable. Just too cute that little kitty having a tea party! I have been looking through some old stash of crafting stuff. Ran across this old Martha Stewart Pansy Punch set, it seemed to perfect to match up with this image!

Sweet isn't she? I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then used a red card stock for my base and punched out those pansy borders with white. This way the flowers looked red.. right? I found a scrap of Paper Studio paper with flowers and stacked up my image with it. For a sentiment I wanted to keep it simple but stay sort of cute, so I found in the Whimsy Clear Stamp set "Painted Sayings" as little "hello" perfect size to stamp directly on my image piece. This set of sentiments has so many great words to use alone or put together. A must have!

Also while digging in my older things I found some really old Prima flowers. All shades of reds and pinks. Matched up to the flowers in her hair just right so I added some brads and used them for embellishments.

Here are the Copic colors used  -

Is it sad or good that it feels like craft shopping and finding new things when I dig into all the goodies I have in my "collection"? I'll go with good as it made me happy to find things I haven't seen in a long while and put them to use!

Now make sure to pop over to the Whimsy Stamps Store and see all the new images I just know you are going to fall in love with! HERE

Whimsy Stamps - Poppy

Howdy -

Whimsy Stamps just has soooo many fabulous artist! It is so hard to choose one favorite, and you don't have too! This week I was so excited to color up "Poppy" by Sylvia Zet.

Now I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then used papers from Paper Studio. Sewing down the layers. Now I have been playing with Whimsy's new "Honeycomb Pattern" Die. I wanted it to have a thick look to it so I painted it with dimensional glaze. And since my Large Martha Stewart large leaf punch and Marvy flowers punch were on my desk I thought they would be pretty with "Poppy" as well. I added Stickles to her wings and lots of stickles for the image to sparkle. I guess sweet little fairies and lady bugs should sparkle? Not sure why I thought this but is does sparkle!

Howdy -

This week for Whimsy Stamps I had fun with one of Sylvia Zet's adorable new Winter images. "Candle Light"

I just love this image. So precious. I colored with my Copic (colors below) then found scrap papers from my stash. I roughed up the edges of all the pieces and inked them with Rangers's Distress Ink. Sewed the pattern papers together and layered with burlap. The leaves are Martha Stewart large frond leaves from coredi'nations card stock that I sanded. I added some dots of red stickles for berries. Very hard to see that one! The sentiment is also a favorite. From Whimsy's Digital Sentiments, "Christmas Time Digital Sentiments" Love how many great holiday sentiments you get in this set!!

Mulberry Flowers in the corner  with Martha Stewart Leaf and Branch punches. For some added sparkle to match the sparkle on the pattern paper I added some stickles down between the flowers and on the dots in the image.
