YNS - December BLOG HOP

Howdy -

Today is the YNS (Your Next Stamp) December Blog Hop and I was asked to play this month with the DT. There are lots of great new images in this release. And when I saw this set I saw a little gift!

This set is called Java Geek (CYNS308) - Too much fun there are SO many stamps included in this set!

I created a little K-Cup Gift. Perfect timing for the holidays to make up some of these for office friends. I stamped out three of the images. (there are over 12 images included!) I stamped up three of them and then inked the edges and colored up with a couple of copics. I found a piece of Farm House paper in my scraps that just felt right for a coffee project. I chose dark brown card stock and kraft card stock and sewed down all the layers.

The GIFT is that it hold three K-cups! I remember seeing one of these a long while ago and just went on my own and created holder. A 12 x 6 /34 inch card stock. Scored at 4 1/2 and 6 1/2. Then the holder is a piece cut 6 3/4 x 5 1/4 inches I scored it to attach to the back of the folded piece and the bottom... after I used my nesties to cut out three holes just large enough to hold the k-cups.

It came together pretty well. Even with my lack of directions and "winging" it. Now you really need to see all the cute stamps that come with this set and all the other fun items in this new release. So click HERE to see everything!

Now you need to see the the rest of the hop. And just FYI... there is a $25.00 YNS Gift Certificate up for grabs for the comments! And the folks at YNS is also offering up a 20% discount!!

YNS - Guest Sneak Peek

Howdy -

Today is when my playing with YNS (Your Next Stamp)  really starts!  Today is the sneak peek for the new release blog hop.

I got to have some fun with "Blast Off" - your sneak of one of the fun new images....

Now I had to go purple and green with these little aliens. The pattern paper is from Graphic 45's Christmas collection. Not the normal for space, but that starry sky is perfect for these guys. I added bright lime green card stock with a dark purple base for an easel card. I sewed things together with a zig zag stitch. The sentiments come with the set!

And I am freaking out over those dots!! They are "Gum Drops" and YNS has SOOO Many colors available. Many of them have glitter to them!

Now back to my card. I created little zig zag springs for the rocket and space ship. They bounce around and look so fun!

They have that 3-D look don't they?

Here are the Copic colors used -

Fun different card for me but I really enjoyed this one! Now do make sure to visit the YNS blog and see all the DT's sneak peeks... then make sure to pop back tomorrow for the Blog Hop!

Old Favorites for Christmas

Howdy-

A few weeks back I started having one of those moments where I was missing and thinking back to some of my favorite stamps that I never get to use any more.  I have SO many that I have loved so much in the past. Especially at Christmas - so many really cute and fun images that have been in the box and screaming out for some ink.

While looking through my "Favs" I got sad missing some of my favorite artist.... so I went out searching to see where they are now. I found one of them at another online stamp company. Penny Johnson has some wonderful new images over at "Your Next Stamp" now that I surfed through their website I found a ton more great images I didn't know about - and I am thinking I really need to ask Santa if he knows about YNS and see if maybe I have been good enough this year for some new goodies! LOL Make sure you head over to YNS and see... seriously I was blown away! Been so long since I went out looking at new things!

Now I haven't had a chance to order any new things yet... but I decided that I really needed to pull out some of my older images and play with them.

This is an older Penny image that I think is just adorable.

I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then added lots of stickles and Viva Decor Pearl pen.

Now while surfing the YNS site I found they do a challenge - it has been so long since I played along with a challenge just for fun. And it is a great color and sketch challenge.

Love the colors and great for Christmas challenge. I used lots of different brand papers from my scraps.

I then inside more of the same papers.

Copic colors used -

Make sure to pop over and see this fun site - Well only if you have the time cuz they have lots to see.. LOL I got lost there for a while. Probably should get out there more often and see all the great stuff out there... well maybe I should pace myself... Hubby might freak if I find too many new things out there after being so good for so long. HA!

Hope you have a great day - Hubby and I are working on inventory for our shows in January.  Lots of new items for our first show. If we can get them all sorted and priced!
