Darlene had her BABY!!! FRIO!!!!

Well it was 19 degrees here this morning, and when I looked out the window there was something new out there... We knew Darlene was getting closer, but unlike her normal tricking us for a few weeks before delivering.. she just decided to go ahead and have it on one of the coldest nights we have had here in years... And because it was so cold, we decided that the only name this little boy could be named is "FRIO"... meaning cold in Spanish -

He is adorable! A dark gray color... well now he is, they do change so much after the baby fur is gone - and oh my really long ears!

He is a sweetie too. As soon as I went in to "introduce" myself and do some bonding he was in my lap and letting me hug all over him. Darlene is very proud of him, and as the usual Darlene very protective as well -

And of course we had to take our day one photo with "Dad"... we have one with every baby we have had born here - Once day that will make a fun collage won't it!

And it looks as if Jolene wants to follow Darlene and have hers soon too- We are keeping a close eye on her now -

A COLD Animal Crackers Saturday!!!

Yes it is really unbelievably cold here today!!! Keep in mind South Texas... and this morning when I got out of bed it was 16 degrees!! and I slept in until 8 this morning!! My poor babies outside!!! But they don't seem to be to upset about it, other than having a hard time getting their water -
I took all of these photos late yesterday afternoon and it was 32 degrees! But just for all of you I went out and snapped some photos :0)

Now you have to know... that slab of ice sitting next to the bucket... had sat there ALL DAY!!! And this morning - it is more than twice as thick in the buckets - brrrrrr  But Sergio and Carlos appreciate Dad coming out and taking the ice out a few times a day so they can get a drink -

Cocoa was waiting to get her drink - - - you can really see how "poofed" up she is to stay warm. All the donkeys look twice as big with their fur all poofed up - Cocoa is such a beauty!

Look at how gorgeous Mirta - - she is such a loving sweet donkey and I think she is going to end up having green eyes like her Mom, Vicki!!

Lillie is a pretty little goat isn't she? We are so excited to see her babies, she will be the first to have "kids" for us.. so we are really excited about her babies!

Libbie and Autie are getting along so well... most all of the time. Once in a while we get a little yelp... but they are really doing well - Libbie has been so patient with him, and lets him climb all over her, pulling on her fur and it is just too cute to watch!

My pretty little lady - it is funny though - she is claiming all of her old toys and playing with them, and taking them away from Autie.. pure jealous  :0)

And when all done chasing, barking and following Libbie all over the house.. Autie just passes out where ever he is - Just a couple of minutes before this he was shaking the pink little dog like a maniac! All that energy just wore him out!

Hope you have a great Saturday! Me.. I have lots of "chores" to do and I am working on a few projects for CHA - - - it is really getting close!!! AAAHHHH!!!!

Just Magnolias - A new Technique this week!

Hello and Happy Friday! And we all know Fridays mean Just Magnolia Challenge! Love Fridays don't you? This week the challenge is a new technique! Pleat Folding... so cool, and once you follow the tutorial at the site once you will love how easy, but special your card is!

Now I started with my image.. I knew I wanted to play with the latest stamp club images. But then really didn't know which I wanted to use. I ADORE the stamp club - but I will admit of all the numerous ones I have gotten over the past year or so - this one is my least favorite. I just don't know if I like Tilda in heels... grown up... but I am going to use them, and get use to them and maybe I will learn to love them as much as all the other Magnolias... LOL

So here she is, colored with my Copics, then stickled the wings. I then went back and added some twinkling H2O's over her dress and shoes. Gives a shimmer in person. My oval nestie was used to cut her out.

Then for my card - A purple card stock for the base, and then two pattern papers. A green check from my scraps - couldn't find the name. And the a purple flower paper from DCWV, really pretty with some bling added to the flowers! I sewed this down with a blanket stitch with a light green thread. Then I went to work on the pleating technique - love the fancy look this adds! But next time I won't pleat a checked paper... really hard to see the pleats... I cheated a bit and inked the edges of each pleat :0)

One of my MIL's crocheted flowers, a button, twine and Martha Stewart Frond leaf punches out of the green checked paper for my embellishment - Then I went to look for a sentiment... nothing seemed right for the image... LOL I gave up and just put a couple of my epoxy sticker words on it.. Hello and playful - settled, but oh well - a fun card for a girlfriend?

Now please do pop over to Just Magnolia's Challenge and see some really awesome work with the pleat technique!! OH and super fabulous prize this week... wink wink!!

Copics used for the image:
Skin: E000, E00, R20
Hair: E07, E09, E19
Dress and Shoes: V12, V15, Y38, G24
Background: YR21, G24

It is seriously cold here today and will be all weekend. Today it really isn't suppose to get much over Freezing... brrrr with a start this morning of only in the 20's! That is way to cold for central Texas!!  I hope to get out at some point this afternoon and snap some donkey photos - can't go out in the morning and do it as they are predicting 17 for the morning - and I just don't really think photography in that will be my cup of tea... LOL  I live here for a reason you see... I don't like the cold!! And this is a rare thing for these parts -

So hope to see you tomorrow.. for some cold donkey photos! and of course Libbie/Autie update! LOL

MO's Digital Pencil - Birthday Challenge!

Hello - it is MO's Digital Challenge day - and today's challenge is a Birthday! We all need lots of those cards don't we -

I love Mummu Dancing - All of Mo's images are wonderful... but I don't know why Mummu is one of my favorite images - I just hope I have this much spirit when I am her age!

Now I colored her with my Copics of course :0) ... and then sprayed the background with my Copics and air compressor. She is cut out with my oval Nesties and then the edges inked with Memento New Sprout ink - For the card I started with a cream card stock for the base, then all of the papers are Scenic Route Sonoma line, I just love these papers, the colors are wonderful - and the patterns gorgeous. I matted a couple, and then sewed them down with a blanket stitch.

I found three buttons I liked with the papers and put them in the corner - Now for my sentiments..

LOL.. this is one of my first stamps - I purchased it years ago with a House Mouse stamp.. and it is still one of all time favorites - and when I first saw Mummu... I knew it was the only sentiment for her!! I then added a Hero Arts Happy Birthday to the bottom. I then inked the edges with Memento New Sprout ink.

Now you just have to see the other DT Birthday cards and then join in yourself at Mo's Digital Pencil! :0)

I am going to start to try and list my Copics that I have used. It is my News Year Resolution you could say... So for this image I used:

Hair:  C1, C5
Jacket: R22, R32, YG03

I {heart} A spoon Full of Sugar Challenge!

Things are starting to getting back to normal... well as normal as I get - things are always busy and up in the air around here. But the challenges are getting back to normal after the holidays!

This week at A Spoon Full of Sugar it is a "lovely" challenge! To add hearts to your project! Well I love hearts - and was going to do a lacy valentine card, then I saw a new stamp from Alota Rubber Stamps - that I had been wanting to use... Lisa Sitting and Reading - you see it... there is a little heart on the book! Well I decided to challenge myself to work with this stamp and have a few other hearts on the card - and I think I like how it came out! A card for a gift of a book! LOL ...

Now I needed something for Lisa to sit on right? Well that was a good chance to use my Alota Sofa!! I love this sofa!  One of my favorite pieces of stamping furniture! LOL... and then the wall looked plain - so I pulled out the Alota wallpaper...well that is what I call it, stamps to create your own pattern paper, I make wallpaper! LOL  I colored everything with my Copics and the cut out in a circle with a red card stock mat.

The pattern papers are from Scenic Route - Love the colors - The hearts are punched with my Fiskars Squeeze Punch and the sentiment is computer generated. I know it is a bit different type of card, but I think I like it  -

Hope you have a great Tuesday -

Animal Crackers ?

Trying out a new Saturday Animal post name? What do you think? Animal Crackers... LOL ok I thought it was funny -

I have had many ask about "Poor" Darlene. She is doing just great - still not ready to have her baby... I know she looks just huge and miserable. But really she is doing great, other than her feet get tired! LOL I just hope that she starts to show closer signs soon - I am so worried that my Mom's to be are going to wait until I am gone to CHA to have their babies. I haven't missed one yet, and it really saddens me to miss one - So if they don't have them before I go... I sure hope they wait the 9 days I am gone to have them when I get home!

Jolene is one of the "others"... she doesn't look as enormous as Darlene, but she is a newer Mom. Josephine was her first baby last year, Darlene has had MANY more babies - and well.. Darlene is a "big boned" girl even when not pregnant. We are very excited to see Jolene's baby. This is the first time we have bred her with Black Jack ... two dark faced donkey... we are hoping for a dark faced baby. But you never know what you will get...LOL

Felicia... is she adorable or what? Yes that is milk on her face, I had just fed Sergio his breakfast, when Felicia tried to see what he had on his face (he is a messy eater) And well... now she is wearing it too - She is a really long haired baby.... my shaggy girl. I keep telling her I need to get her a barrette for those bangs... too cute!

Speaking of cute... Autie is really making his mark on our household.... LOL in lots of ways! But oh my he is just so adorable! He is even warming up to Libbie...

Ok, not by the look on her face here!!! HA!  But she doesn't run from him anymore, and they are playing, chasing and having fun with each other from time to time. We still have the occasional yip... when Libbie has had enough - But really she is doing so well with him.

I caught this sweet moment yesterday. They had just finished a 10 minute chase around the house, Autie has figured out how to get up the stairs to the bed, but going down is really scary and he just whines and cries until you get him down. Here he had laid down and was waiting for me... Libbie joined him - Told you - Cute is the word of the day huh?

Hope you enjoyed...
