Animal Crackers - Beautiful Morning Faces

Howdy -

Last week I shared photos of my morning feeding with Hubby... I snapped so many photos in the cool early morning that I just had to share more this week. It is just not often I get decent photos of so many of my fur children.

Jolene and her daughter Josie was standing off by themselves. Josie is always right there with Momma.

Josie is just as beautiful as her Momma Jolene, but she looks 100% like her daddy Black Jack. And I think she is going to stay even smaller than either of them. Such a sweetheart, just like Momma.

Once the herd of ladies moved off to the Breakfast circle. Josie took a minute to come and give and get some lovings -

She really is so stunningly gorgeous! I am so in love with this little girl!

Looked up and across into Raffie's pen, where a few of the Ladies are living for a while to get bred. Lacey and Vicki were posed at the gate waiting for their breakfast.

OH please let those wide bellies be babies growing in there! With Mini's they always look heavier and have their grass bellies... but once a baby starts getting some size while growing in Mom they do get unbelievably wide. These bellies do look hopeful though!! Lacey gave us our handsome little boy, Big Al,  last year... Vicki didn't get pregnant at that time for some reason. SO wanting a baby this time!

A few shots of the goats now - Sweet beautiful Crissy - She is one of Hubby's special girls.

Calm but very sweet - She really is beautiful - and how can you not love that perfect LONG beard?

Another special little girl - Lucy - I say girl loosely there ..

Our first baby goat here many many moons ago. Now she is one of my old ladies. Don't you just hate when you are so tired... or lazy that you just have to rest your head on the fence panel? LOL Love you Lucy and you sweet under bite smile -

Speaking of smiles. Peso - he is a world class smiling goat! Here he was trying hard to get me to grab up some of that just out of reach green grass as a snack until Dad got to his pen with breakfast...

Of course Peso... always will stop and spoil you! And I gave three handfuls... as it was going to be at least 5 minutes until Dad would get there with breakfast! Wouldn't want you to starve - and fresh picked is really so much better. right? ha!

Hope you enjoyed again this week - and have a smile on your face! Maybe not just like Peso's smile, but a smile! Have a blessed weekend -

High Hopes Stamps - Christmas Santa

Howdy -

Ok so Santa is Great! but a Santa with Presents, Rudolf and Candy Canes?? Best Santa ever!

I colored up this fabulous High Hopes Stamps "Christmas Santa" with lots of Copics and then added Nuvo Sparkle and White for Santa's Trim and the snow. I found a great candy cane pattern paper from Paper Studio to match up with the image. I sewed down the layers of papers and mats with zig zag and straight stitch, then it is all on a bright red card stock card base. For the sentiment a perfect High Hopes Sentiment "Candy Cane Wishes" You just can't help but feel the happy Christmas Spirit right?

Copic colors used -

Animal Crackers - Waiting.. Patiently

Howdy

Went out with Hubby to snap photographs the other morning. I told him... do not feed them until I get a few photos or I won't see a single face! These three are BFF's - usually always together. Bella her daughter Hannah and Juliet  -

They were trying so hard to hold it together and be patient - was really tough. But they were managing.. for the most part. I love how Juliet has no clue that she is so much larger than her miniature friends. She is very protective over Hannah... such a good girl.

And then "Dad" threw in the hay... sigh... see no faces just a circle of rear ends!

I call this the breakfast circle. And they are usually kind to each other, until someone moves too far over the pile of hay and tries to claim more than their share. Then a lot of shoving, pushing and snorting goes on, then it will settle back down again.

Now the goats were loosing it big time... Donkeys have been fed... US NOW!!

Louise is ALWAYS one of the very loudest. Man that girl can scream!! Small - but those lungs work well!

Went up to visit Domino and Spartacus's in the Men's Pen. For 1/2 a second you could have mistaken Domino for Alvin or Alvin Jr.!! Domino is a WHITE and Black Goat! EWE!!! He was nasty!

Between his Manly Goat Stink and I suppose the humidity and mud from the last rain - He was just ... WELL NASTY! LOL I told him normally I would have at least giving him some head scratches on his forehead as it normally is a semi clean spot. But honestly NO WHERE was even remotely clean! Silly boy goat! Or should I say STINKY Boy goat!

Then Spartacus was heading over for some attention.

Now normally I would have given a little attention there as well - but I looked and smelled closely but due to that handsome dark fur I couldn't tell if there was a clean spot or not, and honestly after seeing his pen mate - I was leaning towards nope... not scratching his head either!

Last photo today ... SO ADORABLE -

Hubby and I were cleaning out the antique show trailer and preparing for the fall / winter show season. Moxie was "helping" and was just enjoying weaving all around the merchandise to see if there was anything she might enjoy. Laying on of course. I made sure my antique quilts were out of her reach or jump. I know she would have loved those. But she settled to rest between the baskets. Such a pretty girl! And it was a great pose for a photo shot too!

Hope you got a smile this week again - Animals love visiting you! Have a very blessed weekend

High Hopes Stamps - Homespun Hearts Snowy

Howdy -

I just love a little Country Christmas Crafting!  This image from High Hopes Stamps is "Homespun Hearts Snowy

giggle... country right? Love it! I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then added lots of Nuvo Glitter to the hearts so they twinkle! The pattern papers are from Farm House Norland Collection. Love how they match up with simple kraft card stock for a base. All my layers are sewn down with a zig zag stitch and then put together with a fun High Hopes Stamps sentiment "Twinkle All the Way", which of course I added Nuvo glitter to those stars as well.

Sweet little snowman with heart! or hearts?!

Animal Crackers - Silly Silly Silly!

Howdy - One of my favorite things about all our "fur children" is all the personalities. Serious, Friendly, Quiet and SILLY!

Fancy Pants for sure falls into the SILLY grouping!

This photo was one of a dozen I took of Fancy Pants - she was being really in your face with me. I couldn't get anything like a pretty portrait of her. She was just laughing at me and shoving her nose into my camera. Love her! Silly Girl!

I snapped this one of little kitten Ferrari - she loves to pose for me and my camera! Teaching them early!! The kittens are doing wonderful and yes Hubby and I are getting very attached to them. LOL -

Now I believe last week I talked about how Momma Cat Tuxedo and big brother Shadow had appointments to get fixed.  Well it is done! Now it wasn't easy... LOL Tuxedo made things interesting. HA!

She was caught in the trap - remember she is major super skittish, anyway, caught her. She escaped while loading her up. Caught her again the next night... but we missed the appointment. Called around and finally found another fabulous Vet that would take them both that day. A fabulous Vet. Did a great job, we brought them home and had a large cage set up on the back porch for a recovery home. Big worry was the heavy storms coming in and they had to stay dry.. and especially Momma she had major surgery and needed to be limited to her running around and staying clean and dry! We got them put in with all the needs they ever could want... SHE ESCAPED!! Storms coming and she was out there! Hubby reinforced the huge goat cage. We set up the trap again - canned food and a tiny bit of cat nip inside... no way she would fall for it a third time right??? Well the cat nip was a new addition in the trap and evidently it was more than she could resist... we caught her within the hour! How she is so smart to escape three times... and so dingy to be trapped three times in a row I have no idea! But she was put back into the recovery area safe from the storm. They are not thrilled but they are safe and will be released soon enough and even better they are both FIXED and have had their shots so they are good! And I think maybe a little bit friendlier. Shadow is already allowing petting and talks to us. Tuxedo... just that serious stare and once in a while a little hiss. I think she really likes us, but has to put up a tough front.

Speaking about not thrilled... LOL

Daddy was really busy this week, so Mom gave baths this time! Love the look on Autie's face ... really Mom YOUR doing this to me? Yes sir... your dirty and need your bath! Chica and Libbie was even more upset about the bath - no photo snapping with them though I had to keep both hands on them!

We had lots of rain with the storms that moved through - flooding too... Not in the goat pens but you would have thought so with how I found Chipmunk the next morning... Ha !

Remember goats hate to get wet... and that includes feet. Stud Man huh? big baby! LOL But very handsome for sure!

It was a long loud night and Patti was snoozing off by herself. Old lady seemed pretty tired. While walking out there her eyes were actually closed and head hanging a bit. But she heard me coming and woke up a bit.

My miracle girl Patti. I so love her. Years back she was bit numerous times by a copperhead snake. Had huge lumps all over her chest and stomach. Doc didn't think she would survive. But after weeks of care she pulled through and has been good ever since. She is a strong Old Woman!

Hope you enjoyed this week and a little silly in your morning. I love my goofy fur children in all their personalities!

Have a blessed weekend -

I colored these cuties with my Copics (colors below) and then added Nuvo white paint for some pop of snow. All my pattern papers are from My Minds Eye - I sewed all the layers down with a zig zag stitch and a wavy straight stitch on that fun Sentiment from High Hopes Stamps "Dashing through the snow

Felt like it needed just a little more so I found a die of a snow flake - glued it down then added Nuvo glitter so it would sparkle!

Animal Crackers - Peek-A-Boo

Howdy -

Went out late yesterday afternoon to see all the kids... Penelope was feeling especially friendly and came up so fast to the fence for her head scratches - this was the first photo I snapped. Too late she was right up on me! LOL

She is such a pretty little girl. Still hangs by her Mom's side. Although her Mom won't run up to me, she is very skittish. So glad her daughter isn't and likes to come for her lovings - I then asked her to back up for a full face photo. She wasn't liking it, wanted the close up attention. I would back up... she came forward over and over... This was a far back as I could get her - but it does show off how beautiful she is right?

Then Alvin was making noises in his private pen, so I went to visit him.

OH my HOLY SMOKES!! Talk about stinky! EWEEWE! I scratched the very top of his head between his horns... we had a talk about the fact that he had let a bird poop on his head... We will let Dad take care of that cuz with just touching him with one finger I had to run straight into the house and scrub... smell was so bad loosing the finger was a consideration. But I scrubbed hard enough to save it! HA! He is so sweet.. but he is a "MAN" Goat! Whew!

Went back out to visit my old man Black Jack -

A little over a month ago I wasn't sure he was going to make it very long. He was so so so skinny and wasn't walking well. But "Dad" has really been strict about getting him his geriatric old people food and vitamins and he is a totally different old man! I sit inside at the computer working during the day and can hear him yelling out to the Ladies pen. Makes me smile, as for a long time he wasn't making any effort to talk like his normal self. And now He trots to the fence for attention. He is doing so good! Hubby and I are so so so happy!

Heading back to the house I had to stop and laugh at Scarlet "Red" - She was under one of the trees enjoying the shade, I laughed and told her that her eyes and red fur was glowing in the filtered light in the shade...

She just stood and stared at me... Like what was I laughing at? Then she came over in the sun light and we had a good rub down her face and neck. She does love neck rubs!

Have a little correction on the kittens...

McLaren was introduced as a little boy - they were so tiny and crazy, we got a little mixed up - now that they are letting us cuddle and hold them calmly we have found that McLaren is actually a little girl.... and Mercedes is a little boy! Things have become clearer as they are getting calmer and older. LOL The four of them are such time wasters! I loose way too much time watching and playing with them! They are so cute! This week their Mom, Tuxedo, and older brother, Shadow, are scheduled to trap up and take in to be fixed. Say prayers it goes as planned ... Momma HAS to get fixed right away! Otherwise we will have another batch of adorable to take care of!

Hope you have a wonderfully blessed weekend - HUG a furry friend!

High Hopes Stamps - Snow Kisses

Howdy -

There is a new Re-Release going on at High Hopes Stamps!! Some FABULOUS winter image to color up for the Holiday Season! For me I went with "Snow Kisses

Sweet round little snowman enjoying some red cardinal bird friends! At least I colored them up as cardinals... lol I colored a bit country for this snowman. Matching up with a few FarmHouse Christmas Papers. I adore Country Christmas Themes - I sewed down layers with both straight and zig zag stitches. For my image I punched the corners with a Fiskars corner punch. Then I think I may have gone a bit overboard with Nuvo Pearl and Glitter Paints. LOL The trim on his coat and scarf, and then well.. ALL of him and the snow base.

For my sentiment I love the High Hopes Stamps "Twinkle All the Way" I think a snowman can twinkle all on his own!

I punched it into a ticket shape from EK Success - then I used a Copic to create a faux mat around the edge. Stuck it down and then used an enamel dot for the look of a brad. And those stars on the sentiment - well they were crying out to be colored yellow right?

Copic colors used -

You must visit the High Hopes Stamps Web Store HERE and see all the new Re-Release and all the other hundreds of fabulous images!! You will fall in love with a bunch I promise!

Have a wonderfully blessed day -

Animal Crackers - Fabulous Wet Week

Howdy -

This week we had some fabulous wet weather! And it was really wonderful rain during the nights... storms actually, and then beautiful days for the most part. I think we totaled right at 6 inches!

A few of the donkeys seemed to stand out in the heavy rain one night - at times you just have to have a shower right?

Sergio is always handsome - but the morning after a good shower he is a real looker!

He was still wet - shiny and just a handsome stud! Of course with me he turns into my baby and all he wants is hugs and nose kisses. So I obliged him and gave him lots!

I went out to visit with he ladies... uh hellooooooo - Wasn't about to walk all the way over to them in my sandals - their pasture was soggy mud!

Guess it was along loud night with storms moving through... they were all totally out of it. The younger girls actually laying down in full sleep mode, the others, ears hanging, relaxed and snoozing. Didn't have any interest in taking the time to see me. They were relaxed and comfortable with full breakfast bellies and now a late morning nap! My kind of gals !

Stopped by Alvin Jr.'s pen ... he had a private pond going on and I wanted to make sure he was good.

Other than a wet beard that he drug in the water - he was all good. Handsome silly boy for sure!

This is photo Hubby sent me a while back. He was coming in the gate and found a sly sneaky thief! LOL

Cocoa was calmly and quietly stretching her head over the boys front pen's fencing... "Dad" didn't throw their hay far enough into the pen it seems and Cocoa has found that she can eat her breakfast, then make her way up the front and reach over and "share" the boys hay when they aren't looking. Sly Donkey! And yes .. Dad will start throwing it further in now that he has seen this going on!

Kittens.. Kittens... oh my they have brought some laughs and grins to us this last week. We have tamed them and they actually like us messing with them. Here I had Ferrari on my lap watching the F1 races - She LOVED it. Head was moving around watching the roaring fast cars. This is a horrible photo for sure but it was dark and I am not the best at selfies. But she was too cute to not capture a photo memory!

Here is Mercedes... Kittens have two speeds. 100mph - or totally crash stop. No matter where they are. This was after about 30 minutes of high energy wrestling - then suddenly it went all quiet and they were all out cold. They are really too cute.

Hope things are good where you are - We talk so often here how much work and time the animals are - but wouldn't have it any other way. Donkeys, Goats, Chickens, Dogs and Cats... they all make our hearts smile! Hope you have some thing furry or feathered to give your a heart a smile! IF not I am happy to share with you every Saturday!

Have a blessed weekend -
