Now to a challenge! Today is the Stampavie Challenge and the challenge this week is to make a gift tag. Now that leave lots of room for what ever you see as a tag. Me.. I went more with a gift card. Sorry no real MoJo this week -

I started with my "tag" part... I knew  I wanted to make a card like tag and so I used one of the new Nesties I think this is Label 11 or maybe 12? I put it through my big shot folded and placed the left side just inside the die to allow it to not cut at the fold. Does that make sense? I used Bazzil Dotted Swiss card stock, love those dots.

For my image I chose Stampavie's Helz Cuppleditch's Ruffle Spring Plaque  - I think it is a really cute image, and was the perfect size for my little card. I cut it out with the same Nestie and then doodled around the edge. Ruffles is colored with my Copics and then I added some rhinestone bling for some sparkle.

Then the inside:
Very simple - I cut a piece of cream colored card stock, doodled the same as the front and then stamped the "For You" Sentiment (by Stamps by Judith) -  I really like how it came out. I may just have to make more of these little cards - was really kind of fun to work with such a small size.

Now you need to see the other Stampavie DT gift tags and then we would love you to play along with us! Great surprise gift again this time.. wink wink... you really want to win one of these :0)

Well.. gotta get going, we are spending the holiday, as we do each year... mowing and cleaning each of the donkey and goat pens. Fun huh? Later today we will BBQ - and have some friends come and help us eat  - Hope you have a wonderful day planned!

Animal Crackers - Meet Lacey's Baby!!!

YEA!!! We have a new baby on the farm! Lacey had her baby at 1:30 AM yesterday. I went out to check on her at 1:35... missed the "actual" birth by just minutes... but was soon enough to get in on the bonding. I took a whole bunch of photos.. but they all turned out yucky and dark... so I was up and out at first light Friday morning to snap lots of photos :0)

Enough jabbering.. to some gorgeous baby photos!!!

MEET LYDIA -
Now I know I say this with EVERY baby... but seriously, this one is GORGEOUS - her eyes are stunning, and she has the same beautiful coloring to her as her Mom - a pretty brown, cream and touches of red flair.  And she has her Mom's personality as well.. VERY outgoing and super friendly.

You can see here... she is a "mini me" of her Mom - too cute!  ( she was still just  a bit wet here can't wait to get some really fluffy photos )

And of course we had to have our traditional Dad holding the baby photo...  I just love this one!

And as always the Maternity Window was full of all the other ladies in the pen. They all want a baby too... Vicki (the one on the right) is really really close herself. I am just hoping she waits at least 10 days so we can leave Lacey and her baby can have their time alone in the Momma pen. But whenever Vicki is ready we will made it work :0)

How do you like my Autie photo this week? This boy is like me... he HATES to get out of bed in the morning...  so Autie and Mom are always the last up in the morning, so we have some quality lovin time each morning... he is so sweet.

Libbie has her quality time at night - she comes to bed and loves all over us and cuddles. And when done she leaves and gets in her bed until she gets cold at night. She has been a little under the weather the past couple of days, Autie too...   Maybe now they will believe Mom when she says "Do not eat the June Bugs..."

Hope you enjoyed this week! Now I must sign off and go and love on Lydia :0)

HUGS and have a great weekend... oh and don't forget I draw the winner for my Candy really soon!

Just Magnolias - HOT - SPICY - SUMMER!

Just Magnolias is gearing up for a Hot and Spicy Summer!

I decided to go for a more summer theme card, and I would have loved to jump into Tilda's touring car and go on vacation with them! But no... I have been doing some late "Spring Cleaning" and getting organized, de-cluttering and cleaning has made one huge mess in my house! LOL but I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel :0) Or at least through the piles of junk and dust!

So I have colored with my normal Copics :0) And then found some fun bright papers that said summer to me for the card.
A bright white card base, matted with a deep red - then two pattern papers from My Minds Eye Glitter Home Collection. Lots of sparkle :0)

I matted the pattern papers and sewed everything down with a zig zag stitch. While digging looking for a pretty solid ribbon.. I found these two American Craft ribbons, they were just  toooooo perfect!!! "Summer" and "Wish you were Here"  - don't you think too great for a Summer Vacation card!

Mulberry mini Roses and Martha Steward branch punches finish off - Bright.. Sunny and I think it fits the theme this week - So you going on A Hot and Spicy Summer Vacation? How about starting off by joining us this week at Just Magnolias? We would love to have you join our challenge, and again this week FABULOUS prizes!

HUGS and we will see you tomorrow for Animal Crackers!

A Spoon Full of Sugar - CELEBRATION!!

HI! This week A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge is all about Celebration!!!
For my card I decided we needed to Party with our Celebration at Spoon.. so out came Stampavie's Helz Cuppleditche - Ruffles Party - love this image. I love Ruffles in all of her images, he is such a cute puppy :0)  But that bone with the bow is great!  I colored with my Copics - and then cut out with Nesties labels.
For the card I used white card stock as a base, a dark red mat, and a Bazzill swiss dotted turquoise mat behind three My Minds Eye Glitter Home collection. Love the colors of these papers, and of course that bling glitter! I sewed down the main pattern. The flower is a Sizzix die, cut from scraps of the mats. And the sentiment is also a sizzix die - love that Card Makers set of dies... perfect size, and great sentiments for all cards. I matted the word Congratulations with the red and cut around the word.

This is a great week at Spoon Full of Sugar.. please pop over an join our fun!!!!!!

HUGS and have a great Tuesday-

Animal Crackers - Making Faces??

I am thinking maybe my "children" were having some fun with me this week... as I sat down this morning to work on the photographs I took late yesterday evening, it seems as if some of the animals were making faces at me.  No... Really!

First Annie was sticking her tongue out at me... She is starting to get kind of wide... I think she is about a 6-8 weeks from having her baby or babies... She was such a wonderful Mom to her first, it was so sad that she didn't make it, I hope these are healthy and strong!
Diego looked like he was making faces at me.. He was rubbing his head on the fence, I told him I would scratch his head for him.. but that fence must have been really doing a great job. Look at that face "Ooohhh this feels good, that is the spot"
Ted E. Bear always is up to something... here I could have sworn he winked at me and said "UH.. don't tell Dad I am going to take this hook thing..."  But Dad saw him too and took it away from him, no playing with sharp objects Ted! He was "helping" Dad unload square bales last night...
Autie - a cute little face, he was making all kinds of noises and faces, this boy loves to play outside. But he was beginning to get really hot... pant pant...
Libbie was just bored with me being silly... and trying to take her photo. ... YAWN....

Wanted to show you how big our little boy has gotten! Libbie is just right at 10 inches at her shoulders. And now Autie stands just a tiny bit higher than she does. I think he might be done growing, as he hasn't changed much in the past few weeks. Dad is happy that he hasn't gotten the longer, as we call it "Butt Skirt". He says it just wouldn't be right on a man....
Just after I took the photo of Ted E. Bear "helping" Dad unload the load of hay, I turned around and saw this... The Youth pen... You think they were interested in the hay being unloaded?
One more photo this week, I am so happy about Rosie!!!! I can't tell you how happy. I know I have told you in the past all about our Sick Rosie. Poor girl has been sick her whole life, and on meds off and on since young. Nothing was working to keep her feeling well for very long. And the only thing that did help her was bad for her, and while making her feel better to move around was doing damage to her organs. Nasty Butte Paste, strong stuff. Well a new doctor we met suggested a couple of weeks ago to take her cold turkey off of it, and put her on the Glucosamine and Chondroitin mixture. IT IS WORKING!!! She is acting more alive and healthy than she ever has, moving around better and staying with the rest of the donkeys instead of laying off in the corner of the pen by herself, killed me she was so sad. She is putting weight on, and although still skinny.. she is getting a little meat on her! I love this girl so much.... Hubby and I are both so happy she is doing better and I just pray that it stays this way!!

Well... I took a bunch more photos last night, but I hold those off till next time... well unless Lacey or Vicki decide to finally have a baby that is!! Man those girls are WIDE and look miserable... soon....

Have a great Saturday - Hugs and-

Just Magnolias - Jane's Great Sketch!!

Today is a GREAT sketch for Just Magnolias by DT member Jane! Thank you Jane... love this sketch!

I wanted to have fun with some bright spring colors for this sketch and my new Heidi Grace papers were perfect. Don't you just love the lime green and pink combo? Screams Spring to me.

I followed the sketch for the challenge with three pattern papers from the collection, my card stock is Core'dinations whitewash papers in lime green and pink. I used the back sides from the white wash papers for mats, but the white wash sides for the base of the card and as pattern paper in the sketch. The vertical band is a gathered ribbon with a grosgrain lime green stitched ribbon on top. Everything is sewed together.
My image this week is again masked... I wanted something to fill the horizontal oval... the bench is a great "fill" Then I got a chance to use one of the million sitting Tildas :0)  This one is just adorable, is it the puppy or the heart on her overalls? Which ever.. love it! I colored with my Copics, high lighted with white gel pen, then cut with my oval Nesties and doodled around the mat.

For the three "dots" in the sketch... I went kind of large, and used three bling flowers. Found these in the Bridal section of the store, and they are self adhesive. Have you checked out the Bridal section lately? Really cute things there that can be used for so much! My sentiment is a Cloud 9 Epoxy sticker, on the green card stock.

Now I hope you will join us at the Just Magnolia's Challenge! Great prize again this week! And a Fabulous sketch is the challenge....

Have a wonderful Friday and see you back tomorrow for Animal Crackers.. oh and don't forget my Blog Candy that is running, link is on the top of my sidebar. ;0)

Teddy Say It with Flowers -

Good morning - whew... it has been a long week! Wait.. long hot humid week! And no excuses for having to leave to do something today... nope I have to stay home and do laundry and clean house then outside chores... I have no truck so can't even make us an excuses! Hubby took my truck in to do some regular maintenance on it. Oh well... if I get everything done today I can play this weekend right?

Here is a card I made a few days ago. It was for the Stampavie Challenge... but then I made another card and didn't use this one.

I love how feminine this card came out. Those papers are just gorgeous! They are from Graphic 45 "Le Romantique" collection. LOVE these papers, so much so that it hurts to cut into them! But if I don't use them, I won't have space for new ones when they come out right?

This is three different pattern papers, I cut the large roses out of one sheet and placed it on the pretty worded paper. And that pearl paper was just crying out to have lace and more pearls added to it! For my image these roses were made to use Stampavie's Heltz Cuppleditch Teddy Say It with Flowers image.
Colored with my Copics, high lighted with white gel pen, and then cut out with one of the Nesties Labels. I matted the image with the same coral peach color card stock I used as the base, inked the edges and doodled with the white gel pen. Then added more pearls :0) The sentiment is a new Hero Arts stamp... came with four stamps and I love the size and fonts. I punched it out with a Fiskars Squeeze punch, and used a Copic around the edge.

Don't forget about the Stampavie Challenge... all you have to do is use your own favorite colors and a Stampavie image and you can be in the draw for a FABULOUS prize!

Oh and make sure to pop in and visit the Stampavie DT Blog once in a while.. the DT are rotating days and each day there is a new card just below the challenge from one of the Design Team members... so lots of wonderful cards, all styles with all the wonderful Stampavie images!

Well I guess I have put off my long list of chores today long enough :0) Better get to work, have a wonderful Thursday!

A Spoon Full of Sugar gone Girlie this week!

Yes, all the challenges are going girlie! This week A Spoon Full of Sugar has asked us to make a Girlie card - I was lucky enough to get to play with one of our sponsor's stamps for the challenge!

This week sponsoring our challenge is the Lovely Jennifer from D.R.S. Designs they have a whole bunch of fun images and sentiments!! And the image I found was just too wonderful! Gato my cat liked it anyway! :0)

This is a funny sentiment, but so true in so many ways.... For my card I went with papers from My Minds Eye LoveNest collection. Lots of glitter here, and I thought the color combo was perfect for a spoiled pampered cat. I chose three patterns and then dark brown card stock. I sewed everything together with zig zag stitching.
The image is colored with my Copics, and the cut out with Nesties. I added a ribbon to the corner, and stamped the sentiment right onto the more solid pattern paper, (it is hard to see in the photo but that paper has a sanded look to it)

My embellishment is three mulberry roses with a few bridal pearl sprigs as some added fun.

I do hope you will join us this week at A Spoon Full of Sugar - great prize, and we all love Girlie cards!

Have a great Tuesday - me... I am heading off to meet up with some friends from the old town we lived in to have lunch.  Haven't seen them all in a few months so it should be a nice time.

Stampavie Challenge - Favorite Colors!

Happy Monday...  It is time for the Stampavie Challenge again! YEA! And this week is pretty fun and simple challenge. To use your own favorite color combo - Now for me, well my mood determines my favorite colors - and I go through periods where I use lots of one combo, then get tired of it and move to something new.

To be honest, Pink and Brown are one of my all time favorite combos... but I just haven't been in the mood for pink and brown lately. I also love purple and green, and aqua and peach.... LOL I have lots of favorites. Lately I have been really into country looking colors too.. I love deep red and blue - and it was a perfect combo for the Sarah Kay image, Adele enjoying fresh apples. Love this image, and while digging through my stash last week I found two rolls of ribbon I totally forgot I had. The are Debbie Mum collection from JoAnn's and they are PERFECT for this image :0)

Just ADORE the country look of this card! I found a checked pattern paper from DCWV, then Red Card stock and Bazzill Dotted Swiss blue card stock. I sewed down the checked paper and the lots of layers for that band. The two ribbons (do you love them or what???) and then a scrap of green checked paper, then two borders of Martha Stewart's embroidered flower punch, all on a red card stock backing, then sewed to the base. LOVE IT!
My image is colored with Copics - I tried to make it have that vintage country look with the bold colors as well... I sewed it to a scrap of the red and blue card stock.
The sentiment is from Hero Arts - and is placed in a metal circle label thingy... Oh and I also found two metal corner embellishments to match.

Now I know you have a favorite color combo... and as long as you use any Stampavie image you can join our fun.  Just visit the Stampavie DT HERE and you could win our FABULOUS Prize!

Have a great Monday :0)

A Stormy Animal Crackers -

Happy Animal Crackers Saturday! Today I am going to show a couple of photos left from last week, and a few quick photos I took Friday Morning....as a huge Storm was moving our way....
Here is the sky before I decided a morning out taking photos wasn't going to happen... I wasn't liking all the little spikes coming down out of the clouds... tornado looking... we don't get those here... but I didn't want to be out snapping photos and have a first :0)

Well Andy doesn't live here anymore... this is one of my favorite photos of him from back in March. Yes Andy has moved to his new home, I think he will be well spoiled there, and that is the goal from every new home for one of my babies.

His brother Hank has not been a happy camper this past few days. He has yelled for his brother constantly since he left. They were always together, so he is really missing him. But he still has his sister and all the other "kids" to play with.  Now to find someone to spoil Hank!! As hard as it is to get rid of my children, I can't keep them all..... especially the boys.
This is a photo from last week... my Rico. He is such a sweet boy, he is a rescue donkey. I had to take him, his past home was not good for him. And he was the perfect gelding friend for Miquel. We have had him almost since the beginning of our donkey start.
Another photo from last week - Miguel, such a great looking man. He was suppose to be our stud when purchased him years ago - but sadly he is sterile... found that out after 3 years.. sigh... but we love him dearly- his personality makes him a favorite despite he couldn't be our stud.
I wanted to show you photos of Vicki and Lacey... they are getting really close to delivering. VERY WIDE LOADS HERE! But "Dad" had just dropped a new round bale in their pen - so there was no time for cute face photographs. Nope.. just one as they were walking away -

Autie and Gato... they were really going to town. Now I must say here... no one was hurt, they play like this all the time. I think Gato really loves to play with Autie. He doesn't get as rough as Libbie does. But she plays well with both of them... but Autie knows when to stop.

Didn't get a real great photo of Libbie this week....

Hope you have a great weekend

A Girlie - JUST MAGNOLIAS

This week at Just Magnolia's it has gone all Girlie :0) So anything good for a Female card... anything pretty!

I started to go my norm... and pull out lots of pink, and then I thought no... try something different - unexpected. And well.. aqua and orange? LOL I just don't know - I may have gone too far from my normal. I followed some of the new papers I have from My Minds Eye, they are gorgeous papers, but maybe not Girlie enough?

For my card I layered up three of the pattern papers from the collection. Really love this Glitter stack - lots of bling, which to me is very Girlie. I sewed everything together with white thread and placed it all on white card stock base.
I had so much fun last week masking and creating a scene with the images... well I did it again this week! Now my first thought when I got the last Magnolia Stamp Club set was .. hmmm that is one large flower - but then you know it could just be that this is one tiny Tilda? I don't know but I think they are fun together. I colored with my Copics after masking Tilda the flowers and two butterflies.

So what do you think of my "flower"?
There is a lot going on there huh? First.. even if I say so myself, I love the rose! You see... I did that (patting my self on the back here) Yep... I made it! Ok... so I had LOTS of help from Sizzix! This is one of the brand new 3-D Bigz dies. It cuts two roses with each cut, this is the smaller of the two. Then you just roll her up! I inked the edges a bit as well. I like how the rose can now match my card even more! Can't wait to play more with this die. Then I punched a bunch of Martha Stewart branches? I don't remember what it is called... but well I think it was better with this card than leaves. And in white matching more. Then... well I threw caution to the wind - LOL I found these glass floral picks in the wedding section at Micheal's - They came in a few different colors this are clear. I took the floral pick apart and wound the glass "baubles" behind the rose. Really does add some sparkle. What do you think? I think I like them... better I bought one of each color! LOL
The sentiment is a vinyl sticker from Heidi Grace.. and well Really fit the theme this week!

I hope you will now pop on over to JUST MAGNOLIAS... and see all the other DT Girlie cards and then join us with your own version of a Girlie card!
