Christmas Delivery with Letraset Aquamarkers!

I finally found my watercolor paper! I had "miss-placed" it in my room and while moving stuff around the other day suddenly there it was! So I pulled out my Aquamarkers for the first time in a while and played just to play. Man I still need a lot of practice... watercoloring is hard!

I decided to use Stampavie's Christmas Delivery from the Laurence Collection. Is this an adorable image or what? Love it! Now as I said I still need lots of practice with the watercolor markers, but this one wasn't too bad. It actually looks better in person, really it does, The gold items have a bit of sparkle to them and then I added dimensional glaze to all the lights, christmas ornaments and of course the windshield. Really looks neat. I think how much water to use is my issue... practice need more practices. :0 )

Then I went through my scraps and found some cute Christmas papers. I for the life of me cannot come up with the brand of papers. And couldn't find a name anywhere! But they are cute papers, and the shades of colors seemed to match the image pretty well. I layered them up and sewed them together. Used some strips of adhesive pearls and lace for the band. And that makes this one ok to submit this one to the Stampavie and More Challenge! Bonus!

The sentiment is cut out of a piece of the pattern paper, and then attached to an oval chipboard piece and stickled.

Hope you like my Christmas Delivery! Have you tried the new Aquamarkers? They are too awesome! And even more awesome is that now Stampavie is going to be carrying them, so tell the store that carries your Stampavie Stamps to stock up on Letraset too from Stampavie!! You can see the Letraset Products HERE on the Stampavie website. YEA!

Have a great day - HUGS!

Tobi's Christmas Cuddles

I got to craft! And a just cuz craft! I was really wanting to color one of the new Stampavie images, with a bit of a different look. I had seen RACH coloring with very lightened ink lines. I had thought of trying this a while ago using Memento London Fog ink. But even that was darker than I wanted. She suggested making a copy on a transparency setting - really lightened. Well... I did that, and wow somewhat hard to see, but it really is a softer look once you start coloring. A real watercolor edged look. What do you think?
It is different right? Oh but then I just had to add a bit of snow marker to the hat :0) A bit much cuz it really puffed up big! LOL OH and so you know the name of this one it is in the Laurence Collection - Toby's Christmas Cuddle... too cute!

Then I went to work on my card -
I used papers from Bo Bunny's Father Christmas collection. Love the old fashioned feel of these papers. I picked three patterns and sewed them all on red card stock with a zig zag stitch. A band of red satin ribbon across the middle, and then matted the image with Spellbinders Beaded circles red card stock. It needed more... so each of the "beads" on the mat I added a pearl :0) love that... took lots of pearls, but so worth it. Now I needed a flower. Why I don't know but it really needed a flower.
I took out red mulberry roses - it wasn't right. So I found the two Martha Stewart flower punches and stacked them up. They first are sprayed with Spritze sparkle... say that ten times fast!  Then while still wet I rolled the edges of the petals, and let them dry. Glued the stacks together, and then added one more pearl. Martha leaf and branches are also attached.

Then the sentiment... Totally Adore this one! There are lots of new Christmas Sentiments available from Stampavie make sure and take a look...

I stamped this one on a scrap of the pattern paper, punched with a Stampin Up label tag punch, then colored the edge with a copic.

One Christmas card done! A million more to go! So have you taken a look at the new Stampavie stamps? Which one is your favorite?

OH I found that Stampavie and more's Challenge is Christmas in Summer... So for the first time in forever I am playing in a challenge with this card!!! :0)

HUGS - have a great day, see you tomorrow for Just Magnolias and Hanglar Challenge!

Simply Romantic – Vintage Bunnies with Chanson d’amour

Today I wanted to share a card I made a few weeks back. It is an Anniversary card for a friend. I just adore Vintage Bunnies from the Laurence Collection. So adorable, and just so romantic! I was thinking about the newer Vintage Collection, Chanson d’amour - and how wonderful it would be as a pattern paper… so I did just that, I stamped the image over and over with snow white ink on dark red card stock. A great background for two in love bunnies don’t you think?

Red and white was the total theme as I got going on the card. My corners are Martha Stewart border punches cut to triangles for the each corner. Red buttons tied with red and white bakers twine. The image is colored with Copics, and then edged with red Copic – matted with a Spellbinders Nestie. Was really simple, much simpler than normal, but it there just doesn’t seem to be anything else to add – I love the Vintage Chanson d’amour peeking through.

So have you taken a look at your stamps recently and thought of them as their own pretty pattern papers? Takes them to a new level! And a new use!

Hope you enjoyed my Romantic card :0)

Update on the baby goats.... Scarlet and Rhett are both doing GREAT! Yesterday evening they were out in the pen with Mom. Bopping around, happy and even taking a few turns learning to climb on the rocks, despite Mom grunting and telling them to get back over by her. Was absolutely wonderful to sit and watch!

Have a wonderful Monday - Hugs and-

Dust It Off Sunday - Travel Journal

Today I thought I would show you a project I made for the Stampavie Creations Newsletter. You do get the newsletter don't you? If not... As soon as you are done here :0) POP over to STAMPAVIE and sign up - really is a gorgeous FREE newsletter that you get emailed straight from Stampavie. This months newsletter is just jaw dropping gorgeous inspiration! Really... I mean really did you see Jing's Cake on the cover! Is there anything better than combining your favorite stamps and CAKE! :00  And then once you start scrolling inside the newsletter - man! This DT really rocks! LOL sorry... I know I am on this DT and I am not talking me... I just am floored at the cool things the girls come up with!

Ok... back to my Travel Journal - The stamp I used is Stampavie's Laurence Collections Explorer. Not an old stamp - was just released in January. So I didn't dust it off to use it, and I know this is my Dust It Off Sunday post... but I did dust off most all the supplies I used for this project! For the image I colored with my Copics - and then used lots of Stickles for all of the treasures!
I started with a composition notebook. About 5 years ago I got a ton of these on clearance for 5 cents a piece! My stash is getting lower now... need to keep an eye for a sale like that again! I covered it with kraft card stock and rounded the corners. That awesome vintage French print paper is from 7 gypsies, I have had it for a while, it is large tissue paper. I got it and put it on the shelf.... had no idea what to use it for. Then my Travel Journal! I totally love the vintage look it gives it. Worn and almost leather like. I inked the edges once glued down. To cover the black binding of the notebook, cuz the black just doesn't match at all, I dug through my stash and found brown Gaffer tape I purchased years back. Love this stuff - wish I had it in every color! But luckily the brown matches perfect!

There is a raffia looking ribbon across the middle - had forever, never can pull off using it on cards - but this... was perfect. I printed off the internet a vintage map from a free photo share site, and then dug through my old Scrapbook supplies and found a small flash card with the plane and travel log on it. I have no idea when or where I got it... but it is cool and again perfect! I tore the edges and inked it. Behind the image, I placed a piece of Tim Holtz Glassine paper, wrinkled for that cool old look. And then it needed some "fun" pieces. Embellishments that went along with the vintage, travel feel.... I found some old large brads, another Tim Holtz product the metal journey tag, and then the wood scrabble letters to spell out Memories. Seriously... all of these things I have had forever and did have to literally dust them off! I added some ruffled velvet ribbon down the edge and then sat looking at it. It needed something else. But what? And I looked up and saw my little watch makers box... A VINTAGE WATCH FACE! yep... perfect!

Had a lot of fun making this journal - just one tiny problem.... I never travel! LOL I would love to really I would, but with a million animals it isn't easy to go places.... what will I do with this now?

Have a wonderful Sunday! Today - Hubby and I are hauling in round hay bales! Fun....  but the donkeys really appreciate it.

They just make you happy all over. And I had to scrap this photo! My papers for this 8×8 scrapbook page are from Websters Pages, along with a Martha Stewart border punch and a satin ribbon. Very girlie for these two little girls :0)

The title for my Scrapbook page is printed directly onto the  photo.
I colored Autumn Fun with Copics, trying to color to look like our doggies… LOL Tri-color Toy Australian Shepherds, close I think. Maybe?

Hopefully it makes you happy too – Really – Is there anything happier than watching Puppies Play?

A Spoon Full of Sugar - Flower Power!

This week at Spoon Full of Sugar the challenge is Flower Power! I went just a bit over board...

But then again can you ever have too many flowers? I went with the new Stampavie image Oh Happy Day, from the Laurence Collection. Love this kitty pushing the flower cart. I colored boldly with my Copics and then cut out with Label 17 Nestie. For my papers I again went with October Afternoon. The colors were just wonderful for the image. I took the striped paper and cut it into four pieces to get the stripes going each different direction. Sewed all the papers down.

The sentiment is from Papertrey ink - also cut with Nesties 17. I created the mats by using a deep red copic and drawing around the image and sentiment. Simple and effective. Then I chose flowers from my stash to match the flowers in the cart and loaded them up! Martha Stewart Frond leaves and stickles for the centers of each flower. Love the layered look of all the flowers! And it for sure fits in with the theme of Flower Power, don't you agree? ;0)

Now make sure to see LOTS more flowers at Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge and then join us with some blooms of your own!

Gotta fly... busy day today, lots of things on my to do list since Hubby and I were basically lazy yesterday. I know, I know... I said we had lots of chores to get done, and once the day got going, well... it was just too darn windy and hot to work outside. So we watched movies inside :0) While I crafted and did laundry. OH the laundry counts as a chore??? LOL

Have a great day!

Mr. Fix It

I just love this new image from Stampavie's Laurence Collection - "Mr. Fix It" - the perfect Handyman Guy Card -I colored him my Copics - Don't you just love a Bear with tools?
For my card I went with an easel card. I thought this image was perfect for a Father's Day Card. That got me thinking of a few scraps in my stash. I have this man paper from a class I taught many many moons ago. Wonderful embossed, paper. And it matched well the core'dinations embossed cards stock sanded to show off of course. Cuz a guy would appreciate sanded paper :0)

But my favorite part was the screw brads! Love those!I am loving the new collections from Stampavie - and there are lots of other images perfect for guys in these collections. But I think a bear with tools is my favorite :0)

Hope you enjoyed my guy card - See you tomorrow for A Spoon Full of Sugar -

Spoon Full of Sugar - a Sketch!

A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge Day, and this week there is a wonderful sketch to follow. That is so nice and easy some weeks isn't it. I was very happy to not stress over the layout this week.
My card went with some of the new papers from K&Company Sweet Nectar paper stack. LOVIN this 6x6 stack!! I chose my papers and cut them all down to size then inked the edges. The script paper is actually a new stamp I found last week from Hero Arts called "old writing flower collage" - seemed to really fit with the brand new Stampavie image called "Kitty Post" - too cute with all those roses around the door. I would love that!!! But the donkeys would eat them for sure!

The one layer of pattern paper has the roses in the corner. I cut out a portion of the rose and slipped the top layer behind it. Worked out great!

My sentiment is from my label maker ;0) with pink tape in it!

How about a close up of that image?
Now jump on over to A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge and join us with this great sketch!
Have a great day and see you tomorrow for "Me and My Space"

A Spoon Full of Sugar - Show Us Some Love!!

Hello and I have a Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge for you today! Yep.. I have crafted! And it felt good! LOL Today's Spoon Challenge was my choice of a challenge, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE Valentines day!! You see, it is a wonderful romantic holiday, it is Hubby's Birthday and it is our Anniversary!!! So we really have lots to celebrate for that day! Funny thing is.. we NEVER go out on that day! LOL hate the crowds.. so we celebrate a few days before or after. But I still love the day!

So my choice of challenge is to "Show Us Some Love!!" Make a card or any project to show some romance and love! And for me that was a great chance to show off one of the new Stampavie images!! This image is "Vintage Bunnies" from the Laurence Collection
Really... how cute are these two? I just adore this image, they are really adorable... and I love the "vintage" feel to it. I can see doing this all in sepia coloring as well.. may have to try that real soon :0)

Now my project - I decided to make a "goodie bag" Maybe find something special for Hubby to give him on "Our Day"  -

So my bag is a die cut  - Sizzix Big Shot Pro die Scalloped Bag - Love how simple these HUGE dies are to use and make something up quick. And no thinking.. and right now, that is a wonderful plus for my brain. I cut the die with a light pink card stock, then used scraps from my hoarded Tilda Papers sent to me by a wonderful friend - (HUGS!)  Love these papers, but they are just not easily obtainable here in the US. I cut circles with my EK Success Circle cutter and then inked the edges after cutting straight bottoms. Then I cut my image in a circle as well, with a Nesties Lacey Circles with a dark pink card stock.

The "Love" sentiment is cut from the papers - and then I added LOTS of rhinestone blings around the scallops. Tied it all up with a light pink satin ribbon.

I am very happy with how this one came out, especially since it went so quick. Now please pop on over to the Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge and see all the "LOVE" that the DT came up with this week. Then join us for a wonderful prize!

Oh it is so nice to be crafty again!
Hugs and see you tomorrow!

Spoon Full of Sugar - Distressing

This week things are Distressing at A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge!!

I love doing this, but man I make one heck of a mess. I try to stay neat - work over my trash can, but somehow I end up with paper all over me, the floor and the desk. Here is my card this week, I used Stampavie's Laurence Collections "Merry Bear" - I just her bears!! I colored with my Copics and then used stickles on the presents "ribbon"... I think it looks more like garland now - LOL
I then cut the image out with my new EK Success Circle Cutter - OH MAN I LOVE THIS THING!!! I have had the old green circle cutter forever, but with my 40% coupon last week I got the new one, and Wow did they improve it! Not only are the measurements printed on it so you can cut he exact size you need, but the tool works like a hot knive in butter! LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Then I matted it with a Spellbinders Nestie - Lacey Circles.
The pattern papers are Basic Grey Jovail collection. These are just gorgeous  - love the black and red. I Distressed the edges of all the papers with my Making Memories Distressing tool. Basically a razor blade safely put in plastic. I then wrapped a red satin ribbon around the middle and tied a bow. The sentiment is a Micheal's Dollar stamp - punched out with the new EK Success tag punch edged with my red copic. A metal adhesive dot for decoration. Love the colors - Black and red is not a normal Christmas color combo - but I like it.

Now make sure to visit A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge and see all the distressed DT cards - then join us for some fun and a great prize.

Busy day today. I have to work part of the day, and Hubby is going to be home to work around the house. That means I have to help... sigh... :-)

Have a wonderful day!

Spoon Full of Sugar - Relish to Embellish?

Happy Tuesday! And that is Spoon Full of Sugar Day! This week the theme is to add embellishments to your project. Well we do that anyway don't we? So that is a pretty easy challenge to join in on! Me.. I wanted to make my own embellishments for this one. So I pulled out my Heartland Creations stamps and die cut them out with coordinating Blossoms 2 Nesties Dies.
I wanted them to have a distressed look to them, So I cut them out, then stacked a second set on top that I cut out even more with my kraft knife. I then pulled out my Smooches, and Shimmer Spritzes... I used a frost smooch around the edges. Then sprayed them with a Sparkle and a Frost Shimmer Spritz. I also wrinkled them and folded them over and over to make them a bit softer. The centers are Silver Stickles.

Here they are on my card ;0)
I really love how this one came out. It takes me a while to accomplish a distressed looking card, I worry so about that I am doing it right, and that it will look right - Red and Green card stock as matting, both distressed on the edges. Then two pattern papers from Cloud Nine. I sewed them down with a random stitching after distressing the edges of these as well. There are two ribbons stacked across the corner. A cream satin ribbon with a Happy Holidays ribbon across it. I love layering ribbons. The sentiment is from Stampabilities - torn around and distressed. Now to that FABULOUS image! :0) I love the new Stampavie Laurence Designs "Teddy's Stocking" Image. He is such an adorable bear. I colored with my Copics (colors listed below) Then high lighted with a white gel pen, Gold Smooch, and white Smooch. I then cut out with a circle Nestie, and matted with a new Nestie, Eyelet Circles, love them! Now I wanted to mat behind that as well... but don't have a circle big enough so I cut out a circle with my EK Success Circle cutter.... man that is hard for me. Took three times to get it right. But finally I did. Now I distressed the edges of that too.
I wanted more sparkle and bling for this card, so I did something really really brave. I was so SCARED! I sprayed the entire card very heavy with the Sheer Shimmer Spritz Sparkle and a little of the Frost. I was so nervous it was going to mess up the entire card.  But I didn't :0) Whew... that was the first time I had tried that, and now I think I may be doing it more! Love it!
Just wish I could capture it in a photograph so you could see how wonderfully sparkly it really is!
This doesn't even show the reality of the card, but you can sort of see the sparkle a tiny bit. I am loving how this card turned out. I just stress so much over distressing things. And I see so many that do it so fabulously, and easily ... wish I could have a bit of that ;0) But I am practicing!

So now you need to pop over to A Spoon Full of Sugar and see all the wonderful Embellishments that the DT worked with, and then join us!

Hope you have a wonderful Tuesday -

Spoon Full of Sugar - Winter Wonderland -

Spoon Full of Sugar day and today it is a Winter Wonderland! A Winter theme for cards - should be really easy with all the fabulous Christmas images out there. But me... I had NO MOJO this week. NONE.. Froze up Solid. Winter Wonderland - this card took me 4 nights to make, and lots of wasted paper thrown into the trash. And I am still unhappy with the finished card... but time was out and I just wasn't going to get to where I was happy... So here it is.

Now I am always happy with the Stampavie images... and this was a first time for me to color up Polar Present by Laurence, and I really enjoyed using it, was very fast to work with. Coloring with Copics, Stickles for some sparkle, and then for that snow.. Martha Stewarts Snow Glitter - really cool stuff, just need to figure out how to use it better.

Nestie label 4 to cut out. For the pattern paper I used DCWV Christmas stack for the one pattern, then the second I made it myself. I think I like it.... A piece of Core'dination card stock, embossed with my Spellbinders Snowflake Embossing die. I have had this forever! And first time I have used it. Not as easy to use as Cuttlebug folders, I think I need to google some better instructions. After running it through my Big Shot Pro, I sanded it, but then it needed that extra punch.. so I sprayed the entire piece with Vanilla Smooch Spritz. I am so in love with this stuff!! ;0)

The scalloped piece I found in my stash, I think it is also from Martha Stewart, had self adhesive and I was frustrated at how blah this card was. Silver Ribbon didn't even help it for me.....

Then I decided that sometimes you just don't feel a card - and this was mine for now, so finish it up and move on!! I did... started working on a 3-D project that I am just loving... LOL I'll show it off as soon as finished with it, but has lots of layers so it is taking me a while.

So until then  - why don't you surf on over to A Spoon Full of Sugar and see the other DT creations, you can see that they didn't get as stumped as I did...

Spoon Full of Sugar - Sparkly and Shiny!

Spoon Day! And today the Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge is to make your project Sparkly and Shiny! Love that! Love Bling!

Now this card sort of makes me sad... as Hubby says this is one of those cards you just have to see in person to really "see it". Lots of Sparkle and Shine on it.

The image is Snowy and Rudolf from Stampavie - too cute, and perfect to add both Sparkle and Shine. Now if you had this in your own hands you would see that Snowy is covered with Clear Dimensional Glaze - so he shines and has shape. A real Ice look. I used my Copics, and cut out with Nesties Label 17. What do you think of that "sky" .. LOL I used a bit too dark of blue - then went back with the blender and removed a ton of it! I think it has a cool look - so cool that I created a mat with a piece of white card stock that I colored the edges of and removed ink. The papers - That shiny corrugated bronze paper and the red glitter paper are both from K&Company's Christmas Special collection I got last year. The glittered dot is a scrap. I punched the edge of the glitter paper with an EK Success border punch, and then ran a sentiment ribbon across the entire card.

Now join the Sparkle and Shiny fun at Spoon Full of Sugar! Don't worry if you can't capture all the bling in your photo... we all are having problems with that! LOL

Stampavie Star Gazing Accordian Envelope

Todays post is for both my Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge Post and my turn at the Stampavie DT Blog - love double duty!

I thought I would share a fun 3-D project I found recently. I went surfing the net to find something fun to send out something "SPECIAL" to someone.... wink wink... and found a great Accordion Envelope on Splitcoast Stampers - You can find it HERE It was really simple to put together, and I love the size of it! Perfect to store or send Stampavie images...wink wink...
I used Basic Grey Figgy Pudding papers to make the Accordion Envelope, love collections where there is no worry if they all work well together - you just know they do!
Then for the fun image I chose the new Laurence image Star Gazing, I love this image! But why do I always want a coke and a smile while coloring it?  LOL  Colored with Copics, then I used a Snow Pen to add some depth to all the white snow of the image.  I roughly cut out the image and attached it to the bottom left corner of the envelope.

The edge of my top is punched with a Martha Stewart Doily Lace border punch and then a ribbon and large button for the tie down closure.

The inside is pretty simple I did make a couple of dividers  -
I hope you liked it.. and I hope the person that it is on its way to likes it too? Now pop on over to A Spoon Full of Sugar, and the Stampavie Blog ;0)

Guest at Cute Card Thursday - A Play on Words

I am having so much fun with the challenges as this months guest at Cute Card Thursday.  And this week the challenge is to make a card with a Play on words... a sentiment with a pun type of saying in it.

Now I will admit for a while I just didn't know what I could work with... then I found one of the new Christmas images from Stampavie Laurence Collection and the name of the stamp was right there.... A Purrfect Christmas - so I made up my card and typed out a sentiment to go along with it -
I colored with my Copics and then cut out with one of the Nesties Labels Dies. All of the papers are from Kaisercraft's Christmas Carnival Collection, layered with card stock colors to match and sewed together. There is also an EK Success border with a zig zag embossing. I felt it needed some bling - so I stickled the edges of the image and my computer generated sentiment. Was fun.. and punny to make!

Have to run now.. man the weather has really taken away my computer time the past three days! Due to Tropical Storm Hermine, we have had way over 8 inches of rain here and our power keeps going off and on, even when the sun is out! Anyway, I have left the computer off for a while to save it from doing damage. And man I miss it!

Hope you will pop over to Cute Card Thursday - it is a fabulous challenge site with an amazing DT that I have had a blast playing with!

Spoon Full of Sugar - Animals!

Spoon Full of Sugar this week has gone to the animals! Now how easy and fun is that - use animals on your card!

I was thrilled to ink up one of the new Stampavie Penny Johnson images ... Dearest Deer - love these two, perfect for a Christmas card!

I colored with my Copics (of course) with a chalk background. I then used some Martha Steward snow flock for the snow, then added just a bit of Lace Stickles for some shine. I inked the edges of them once cut out with my circle Nesties.
For the card I went with a standing easel card, the papers are all from My Minds Eye O'Christmas Tree Collection. REALLY love this Christmas stack - All the layers are sewed together with red and green card stock. And all the pattern papers are inked. For the sentiment I used a Cloud 9 epoxy sticker, on a card stock Sizzix fancy Tag die cut. Then to help hold my easel standing I found four red fabric brads in my stash.

Hope you will join the Spoon Challenge this week - we all have animal stamps! And the prize is always wonderful!

Suppose to get some really bad weather here today... a tropical storm moving across Texas. We SO NEED the rain... they are predicting 2-12 inches. The two I can handle.. the 12 would be just a bit much - Hope you have a wonderful Tuesday!

Ok now this card turned out really FUNNY!

Have you seen the new Fall/Christmas images from Stampavie??? You will LOVE them! Tina Wenke has some new Halloween images that are being release, Penny Johnson some wonderful Christmas fun. A new artist Laurence Collection that are precious. And then Sarah Kay has some new images that are well... all grown up and just as beautiful as always.

But when I received my DT box one image just popped out at me... seriously it was a must for me to do right away!

Do you see what I see????

Ok, so these X-mas Puppies from the Laurence Collection have tails... so they are not exactly my puppies.. but it is Autie and Libbie to me! LOL I had so much fun coloring this one up! Hubby and I laughed so hard, Libbie was easy to color, but man I have such a hard time coloring black.. so Autie isn't perfect -
For my card I went with a Vintage Christmas look. The papers were scraps I had from last year, so I have no names. I inked the edges of everything, including the image once cut out with my nestie label die. I found a ribbon that read Merry Christmas over and over, and a piece of loop lace for a border at the bottom. A epoxy Sticker for the top and then I just needed some pretty vintage pearls for some added embellishments.

This one was fun... I don't know if I will be able to send it out.. may have to just sit on my desk for a while.
