High Hopes Stamps - Willy One Eye

Howdy  -

Still pulling out Fall images from my wonderful collection of High Hopes Stamps. I don't really do many monster cards... but felt Willy One Eye was one I needed to do. (Yes Deana heard you snicker there!)

Willy One Eye is a funny little monster -

I colored up Willy with my copics (colors below). I found some papers from KaiserCraft's Bluebelle collection that I matched up with core'dinations cardstock that I sanded. A bit of zig zag stitching to hold it all together.

The image matches up perfect with the sentiment "I've got my eye on you!". Then three black buttons to match.

Inside more of the same papers -

Copic colors used -

A bit different card for me, but it did make me chuckle doing it.

Animal Crackers - Summer Sunset

Howdy,

First I will report that we are all doing well this week here on the farm. :0)

I had a little love fest with Baby Boy Sebastian one evening this week.

My baby boy isn't such a baby any more. Now he isn't a baby any more... in fact the dreaded conversation about weaning him and which pen to move him too, has been a major topic this past week. I HATE moving babies away from their Momma's but we have been watching Sebastian with his Momma Bella and honestly I think Mom is about ready for her teenager to move on. You know how trying teenage boys can be...

But seriously he is a cutie...

And a love! This guy really does adore head scratches! But he isn't going to be a happy boy when we move him away from all the ladies -

Found Irene enjoying a bit of a scratch herself!

Those T-Post make the best scratching post! She was really enjoying herself. LOL

Now these are great photos as I zoomed in a ways to get them... but I found Gabby and Fancy Pants having some sort of private conversation... and then I do believe that Miss Gabby stuck her tongue out at me!

And then were they laughing at me????

Ok, maybe it was a yawn.. But you know these ladies do have a sense of humor! Just not normally directed at me. HA!

As heading back into the house I just had to snap a photograph of the sunset -

The animals are our number one reason of loving our lives in the country... but sunsets and nature are surely a close runner up.

Hope you have a wonderfully blessed weekend - Enjoy a sunset where you are.

Happy Birthday to You……………………..

Lora, the High Hopes Rubber Stamps and One Crazy Stamper DT Divas along with some very Special guests are doing a Birthday Wishes Blog Hop to celebrate your birthday.

I made a little card for Lora with one of my favorite High Hopes Birthday images.... "Party Donkey"

It had to be a donkey card from me right? And who wouldn't love an adorable donkey bringing you cake! The cake stamp is separate so you can add lots of different things to the donkey. I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then matched up to some pretty rose papers from Prima's Something Blue collection. Sewing down all the layers. Some leaf punches and mulberry roses to match -

Inside the card same papers -

Whimsy Stamps - Give Thanks

Howdy -

This week for Whimsy Stamps I used the new images by Krista Heij-Barber called "Give Thanks". Great Fall set of images with a little "whimsy" to them!

Great fun set I colored and cut them apart to layer them. (copic colors below) I then used Ranger Tea Dye ink around the edges to cut the white of the paper. Love those little smiling faces. I then printed a piece of the new Whimsy Digital Paper! This great leaf paper is from the Fall Harvest 1 Set.  I layered the digital paper on a Core-dinations dark orange piece that I sanded. A Cream colored card stock all on a kraft card stock base. I used a zig zag stitch to put it all together. A vintage lace border then added a Whimsy Stamps Shapeology Double Scallop Doily Die cut that I cut in half. I added a little more ink to the edges to tone them down. Then for some odd reason I went a bit nuts with some vintage buttons.... not sure why - not sure I like it, but once they were glued down I had to run with it.

Copic colors used -

Fun different style for me! Like these images for some fun fall cards. They could be added to any other images as well and there are so many to choose from in the set.

Make sure to visit the Whimsy Stamps Store and see all the fun!! And speaking of fun... if you want a great time check your calendar and see about joining Whimsy for.....

Still a few spots left so check your schedule and book yourself fast! Wish I could go... darn!

Have a wonderfully blessed day!

High Hopes Stamps - Harvest Harry

Howdy -

Feeling like Fall around High Hopes Stamps - one of my first fall stamps at High Hopes stamps was Harvest Harry - love this guy -

My kind of scarecrow... just snoozing while on the job. Wonderful! I colored with my Copics (colors below)  Matching up with papers from Farm House Fair Skies collection. Wonderful Rich colors. I sewed down the layers, and the cut out the image and matted it and cut around it. I used the High Hopes "Happy Fall y'all" LOVE that Y'all! I added three buttons - and then added some Martha Stewart Leaf and branch punches. Topped off with three mulberry roses in fall colors.

Inside more of the same papers -

Animal Crackers - Through the Window

Howdy -

There is nothing that makes me smile more than walking through the dining room and glancing out the window and seeing this sweet lady chillin' in the shade.

The three standards have the run on the farm, and one of Cocoa's favorite places is the side of the house in the shade. And that gives me a chance to tap on the window and say hi to her  - And yes, 99% of the time she is backed in... I guess in case she needs that quick get away to chase something. Ok, she isn't going to chase anything... so I am not sure why she backs in. LOL

Now while going back and forth through the dining room I was folding laundry... and once again I didn't get it done fast enough before Gato found it. She hears the dryer buzzer and makes a run for it to get the warmest cuddling!

She just loves those warm clothes to nap in! So the laundry stayed there until her nap time was over...... it was a long wait you know how those cat naps go.

Sandy was enjoying the nice weather to stretch out on top of one of the goat huts.

Really was a nice day yesterday - First day all week with no rain, and it wasn't a million degrees of heat. So I guess she had the right idea to just enjoy it.

Got a great shot of Malory - She is a goat I don't snap to many photos of. Honestly she isn't the friendliest of the goats. Both her and her sister from day one have been a bit stand offish.

Now she is still a cute goat. Just not one of my "babies"... I tend to really bond with those that like me more. Right?

This last photograph just cracked me up....

Does anything in life feel better than scratching that itch that has been driving you nuts? She was going to town scratching on those concrete steps.... Back and Forth, Back and Forth... stretching that neck out and really feeling good! Oh Yea!

Before I end today I have more sad news. I just couldn't bring myself to pull up a photo. We lost Frizzle this week. Yes, another of our little pet chickens. After late nights and trying to find out what was happening. It looks like we have a critter that has figured out a way to get to our chickens. Hubby has been working on the pens all week now and hopefully things are more like a fortress and everyone is safe. I don't think either of us can handle loosing another one. Spot was horrible to loose and Frizzle was heartbreaking. Life of raising animals on the farm but a part neither of handle well. WE Adored both Frizzle and Spot and we have decided that we have to find more little chickens these guys were just too special.

Hope you have a wonderfully blessed weekend. A quiet weekend at home for us - looking forward to it!

Whimsy Stamps - Fairy Fiona with new Digital Papers!

Howdy -

Today I had a little fun with one of Whimsy Stamps new Fairy images. Fairy Fiona is a pretty little Fairy don't you think? She is by artist Mi Ran... too cute!

Now I colored (copic colors below) Fairy Fiona to match up with the new Whimsy Stamps Digital Papers! So easy to use and you never run out! The papers I used are from the Fall Harvest 2 collection... Love the rich colors with the patterns. Great patterns in all the collections. Now back to Fairy Fiona... I colored her with the Copics, and the cut her out to make her pop on the new papers. I sewed the layers together.

I then added the Whimsy Clear Stamps Sentiment from the Bold Statements. Love this one! This set comes with so many great sentiments.  I then added Whimsy Shapeology  Vine Die Set - I used Core'dinations green card stock that I sanded, and then added mulberry flowers. Then because every fairy needs some sparkle to her I added Ranger Stickles to her wings!

Inside the card more of those great new Digital papers...

Copic colors used-

Hope you enjoyed Fiona... and please pop over to Whimsy Stamps site and see all the great new items!

HIgh Hopes Stamps - Wagon Full of Blessings - Happy Harvest

Howdy -

Today for my High Hopes Stamps card we are still working with fall inspired images - and nothings feels more like fall than a Pumpkin Harvest right?

I love the fun feel of "Wagon Full of Blessings" image -

Love those little smiles! I colored with my Copics (colors below) I found papers from Penny Black Madison collection and then matched them up with Core'dinations card stock that I sanded heavily.  I matched up the image with the High Hopes Sentiment "Happy Harvest" Getting that big Pumpkin would be a Happy Harvest. I found a Large Martha Stewart Leaf punch that has a two punch feature so I could shadow the green behind the red. Then three dark red buttons for a little more embellishment.

Copic colors used -

Hope it gave you that Fall feeling and you enjoyed it -

Animal Crackers - We need a Bigger Bar...

Howdy -

If you look at this photograph you would think this is the only perching spot these chickens have... but nope there is another across the pen and another inside the coop. I understand sleeping outside when it is so hot, I wouldn't want to be in the coop either, well unless the coop had a fan and/or air conditioning. But these girls, they like their perch, they sleep on this perch every night. Summer - Winter - Rain - Wind... don't matter this is where they sleep.... but seriously, girls... there are other places to perch!

Now it is a bit of an odd photo.. sorry for the shadows of the fence. I was outside near midnight using a flash light and checking on the chickens... we had a very very sad morning this last week. We lost one of our very special chickens. We lost Spot this week.

There were tears... these Bantams and Frizzle are SO Friendly and have become so special to both Hubby and I. Especially Hubby... he has long talks and has taught all of them to climb up on him and eat out of his hand. But One night this last week... something tried to get Spot through the fence and we don't know what happened, but Spot did not make it. Love you Spot... and will miss you.

We are keeping a really close eye on the others - and looking at building up the sides of the pen with something so this can't happen again. And yes... We are looking at building up another larger pen and coop and next spring getting more of these adorable chickens!

The Ladies were over yesterday afternoon - some time in the shed, water, salt block and while here a little head scratching.  The old lady Darlene is looking so good! Fresh green grass diet does her well.

Hard to believe this gal is over 25.. still a looker too!

Fancy Pants was wandering through the high weeds. Look how shiny her coat is!

Stunning!

Yes these weeds need to be mowed down, Hubby has just been so busy with the new roof and such. But honestly the background of the yellow flowers do make for nice photos!

Love Jolene and her LONG EARS!

Beautiful for sure -

Miss Patti - another one of the older Ladies... and a true love.

This gal is usually one of the first to the get the head rubs and loving. She is so calm and so sweet. So thrilled we have this lady.

And as I made my way back up to the house I found Autie near the porch... "MOM IT IS SO HOT OUT HERE.... PLEASE GET THAT DOOR OPEN SO I CAN GET BACK INTO THE AIR!"

I agree Autie... I was only out about 45 minutes and I was soaking wet! Checked the temp... Wow 103!~ OUCH! Luckily there is a little front heading here today and is suppose to bring us a little cooling off rain tonight.

Hope you all have a wonderfully blessed weekend - HUG a Furry Friend!

Whimsy Stamps - August Release - Hedgehog with Basket

Howdy -

Another day of new release images at Whimsy Stamps! And today I am sharing  Hedgehog with Basket from the Lee Holland collection.

Now I am going to be totally honest here... had to do a little guessing on coloring up this little hedgehog... you see here in Texas I have NEVER seen a Hedgehog... so doing a bit of guessing on how to color - but think it turned out ok from what photos I have seen... I think. LOL

I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then used a pattern paper from Prima's Something Blue Collection. Two pieces of Core'dinations card stock brown and dusty pink that I sanded for more of a shabby look. I used brown thread with my sewing machine and a zig zag stitch for a little more drama.

The sentiment is Whimsy Stamps Clear "Bold Statements" Great group of sentiments for all occasions! Then six rhinestones for a little bling.

Inside more of the same papers -

Copic colors used
