Dust It Off Sunday - Cornish Heritage Farms - Friendly Kritters - Bunny Presents

Now you may think I am nuts - I made this card a little while back, for Dust It Off Sunday...and I can't find where I ever showed it! I think my plan was for it to come on when I was gone at CHA, but then I didn't get it scheduled. But I can't find where I ever posted it... but maybe I did? Oh well if this is a second viewing of it... I think it is cute enough for two! LOL Yes.. I am loosing it...

So my Dust It Off Sunday card this week is from Cornish Heritage Farms - Friendly Kritters, by Tom Allen - love his Kritter stamps. Now I am wishing I had gotten all of them.. sigh - just love them, I have a few.... and this is one of my favorites -

I colored with my Copics - and then oval cut with a cream colored mat.

For my card I used October Afternoon papers. I totally adore these papers. The vintage feel and the colors they use - just love them! I kept the layout pretty simple - That bunny needs all the attention! I sewed down the layers, and then ran an cream colored satin ribbon under the oval. Two red buttons were just perfect beside the bunny. I tied those off with red and white bakers twine that I stained just a bit with Distress ink... that white was just too white.

The sentiment I found in my stash... I think it may be from CHF as well.. problem with older unmounted rubber... If it ever gets out of place, it is hard to remember the maker. Darn It... makes me made when I mess something up like a makers name.

Hope you enjoyed my DIOS card today :0) What are you up to today? Me.. a little working, a little laundry and then I plan to get inky later today :0) That is the plan anyway! Hope you have a great day!

Animal Crackers - They Grow Up SO FAST!!

Boy Blogger and I did not get along this morning! It wouldn't let me load any photos! And what good is Animal Crackers Day with no photos!!! So finally here it is after having to go to the old editor and manually upload one photo at a time very very slowly -

I was late home yesterday so I didn't get to photos before dark, then I got to thinking about all our babies. (our neighbors horse had a baby yesterday!!) And I always think about my babies when seeing others - so I thought it might be fun to do a little "Then and Now" with a few!

So I looked back at a few baby photos and found some "grown up's" to compare them too....

First is my very first baby here - This little guy was so spoiled it wasn't even funny... and I was such a newbie I worried about EVERYTHING... He was born in December and it was pretty cold the week he was born got down in the teens! So I ran out and got him a dog coat to wear so he wouldn't get to cold. Now... I know that Mom will make sure they are warm, and don't worry so much.. LOL Here is Diego -
And how about Gloria - She was so dark as a baby... and I should have shown a photo of her a few months old.. her fur got so long, we called her Buffalo Donkey...LOL

Then we have Irene ... Our First Spotted baby ... we purchase her Mom, Patti, already bred, so Irene was a huge bonus for us as she will later be able to be bred to Raffie as well as her Mom. Her nick name as she was growing up was "Shark"... yep, she was a nipper! But she is growing out of it now.
Josephine "Josie" or as Hubby calles her "little bitty one" - she is one of our smaller girls. All the babies have bangs when they are little. But Josie's were just too adorable for words... she always looked as if she had just had a hair cut, they were always so straight and perfect looking, and very full! We look forward to breeding her one day.. still a while off, but she is so darn cute and has tons of personality - so her babies should be fabulous!
Valentine - Our first and only standard baby donkey. He is named for a character in one of my all time favorite movies... "Valentine McKee" .. what you don't know that character? Played by Kevin Bacon? One of his best roles ever???? TREMORS.. common a classic! I love that movie! Valentine is and should be a grown up now.. I mean he was born in 2005.. but this guy is a huge Momma's boy. If he falls asleep and she moves off and he looses her, the world falls apart and everyone on the property hears him scream for her. Then if he doesn't find her he panics and runs kicks and screams more. Then Hubby has to wander off and find her and bring her back to him. I really think that she does it on purpose sometimes just to sit back and laugh at him.... Poor guy... He is one of my "boys" as well.. I just love this guy!I had to show off one baby goat.. common they are just precious! Jill isn't even a year old yet, but man she was an adorable baby. She is almost full grown now, but smaller than all the other goats. She is gorgeous, and super friendly!
Now "MY BABIES" - Libbie first - Can you believe this girl? And now a Mom herself - My stunning Blue Eyed Girl - was she a cute puppy or what? And a stunning little Toy Aussie if I do say so - And her boyfriend, my boy, Autie - Already a Dad and so young himself. My cuddle boy. One adorable puppy and now a Handsome dude. Then although she is still a puppy.. not even 5 months old yet.. I had to show Chica too.. and look at how much she looks like her Dad as a puppy! We love her to pieces even in her lanky teen stage! LOL
Hope you enjoyed my looking back at my babies... can you tell I am really ready for more? Seems like forever since we have had any babies around here LOL ... Have a Goat that is close, and a couple of Donkeys that we think are April... so just have to be calm.

Have a wonderful Saturday - and I hope that tomorrows post isn't so hard for me to get on, whew.. took me over 2 hours to get this one loaded!

Just Magnolias and Hanglars - Your Favorite Color Combo!

Friday - Just Magnolias and Hanglars challenge and this week took me forever to decide which way I was going with this weeks theme.... the Theme - to use "Your Favorite Color Combo"... well with me, I have quite a few favorite combos!! Green/Purple, Pink/Green, Blue/Brown and others... but in the end.. I went with PINK and BROWN!! And with that decision made I went to some scrap papers I had from Creative Imaginations.. (I hope that is right)  These papers went perfect with the MAGNOLIA image I was thinking of using. Yep... kept my promise and used one of my Magnolias!

Well YEE HAW! LOL really went a bit over board with this one I think!!!  My pink and brown papers with that cowgirl theme. And Martha Stewart loop border punch - reminded me of her rope she is twirling. I sewed everything together, then this is where things went off the track and a bit nuts. My pink Crackle paint was still on my desk from last week.... and I just threw caution to the wind and painted the corners and the edge of the Nestie mat behind her!! Not to sure if that was a win or loose there. I inked everything just a bit, then added light pink flourish pearls. I know CRAZY!

And then just because I have never seen a real Cowgirl that didn't have lots of bling... my Tilda went RODEO!!
Now I would say... I wish I had boots like that.. but I do :0 )  LOVE my Pink and Brown Fat Baby Boots! And yes they are PINK and BROWN!! But this girl has really sparkly bling oh hers. LOL and that outfit yep - totally stickled! She is ready for the show!

And I love my sentiment - a stamp I purchased at the local stamping store - just perfect for me huh?
Now make sure to Rodeo over to the Just Magnolia's and Hanglar's Challenge and see all the DT's favorite Color Combos.. then join us for your chance at this weeks prize!

See you tomorrow for Animal Crackers -

Me and My Space - Embellishment Boxes 1&2 - buttons, brads and eyelets!

I thought that I would start to show you some of my embellishment boxes from my bottom shelf I showed off last week. Lots of boxes - so I don't know if I will show them all in a row that might get a tad boring for you :0) But lets get started with them and see how things go. Today I'll show what we will call box 1 & 2 -

These are Cropper Hopper 2 sided boxes. One side is little square compartments, and the other is a thinner open area.

Box 1 - Decorative Buttons
I have had these buttons for many many years - my "scrapbooking" buttons. Digging through them I think I just may pull some out for some cute cards maybe. Basically they are sorted by themes -
This is the thinner side of Box 1 - Some very old Rub-ons - - - wonder if these will even work any longer? I think I need to test a few and make sure these still have potential.

Box 2 - Brads - Eyelets and Snaps!
Doesn't this box makes me look so so organized.  I again did this many many years ago, and it is one system that still works wonderfully! One thing about Cropper Hopper all of their products work so well together. Their small embellishment boxes fit perfectly into the divided squares of this box.
Each box has brads, eyelets or snaps... I have written on each box the brand and what they are. I used these all the time on scrapbook pages, but I don't use them as often on cards - I think I will leave this box out for awhile and see if maybe I have a need for these.
The thin side of this box. Products that are still in their packaging. Those Rhinestone brads from SEI... oh yea those came out of the box - totally forgot about those and they are just stunning! BIG and BLING!

That is two of the many boxes - hope that gives you some ideas. And that you enjoyed seeing one of my more organized things :0)

On a personal view of my room - wanted to show you my ribbon photo board.

This was a gift from my Sister a few Christmases ago. She made it, and I love it. It hangs just behind our computer desk in my craft room. I put favorite photos and memento's on it. A fun photo display that I can change up. Problem is I haven't printed many photos lately... so most of them are pretty old. Need to do some printing and add some new images!

Have a great day! Hope you liked the peek into my craft room!

Guest DT at the Stamping Bazaar Challenge

HI - First let me let you know that today's Me and My Space Post had to be moved to tomorrow. Sorry I totally got my dates mixed up and had the wrong date on my calendar for a special post!!! I was asked to be a Guest DT at the Stamping Bazaar Challenge this week!  I am so glad I got my reminder email in time.. whew! So I didn't miss the exciting day :0)  So please if you are here to see Me and My Space it will be here tomorrow :0)
How stinking cute is this image? They are found at the Stamping Bazaar's Store, and artist Marina Neira under the Cuddly Critters section and are called Louisa and Leoncio.  I had the hardest time to deciding which image to pick!!! The little bats are just adorable as well.. too too cute. But then these two little lions just really grabbed me. Maybe it is the "Leo" in me? I printed them out and then colored with my Copics  -
Because the image was so adorable I wanted it to be the center of attention on the card. So and easel card was the best choice for them. I chose some bright fun papers from Sassafrass Lass and my scraps. With Red card stock, and navy blue card stock. And I sewed everything together with a large EK Success scallop border punch. The hearts in the image inspired me to have more hearts, so with my Fiskar's small heart punch I made 4 more hearts and colored the edges black with a copic marker.  And attached them with foam pop dots.

My sentiment is from I believe -  Hero Arts, right now it is MIA on my very messy desk... so I can't check to make sure ;0)

I had so much fun with this adorable Digital image from Stamping Bazaar. And was thrilled to be asked to be a Guest DT for their challenge!!  Thank you so much Girls for letting me play!!

Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday - and please do pop back tomorrow for "Me and My Space" -

Spoon Full of Sugar - a Sketch!

A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge Day, and this week there is a wonderful sketch to follow. That is so nice and easy some weeks isn't it. I was very happy to not stress over the layout this week.
My card went with some of the new papers from K&Company Sweet Nectar paper stack. LOVIN this 6x6 stack!! I chose my papers and cut them all down to size then inked the edges. The script paper is actually a new stamp I found last week from Hero Arts called "old writing flower collage" - seemed to really fit with the brand new Stampavie image called "Kitty Post" - too cute with all those roses around the door. I would love that!!! But the donkeys would eat them for sure!

The one layer of pattern paper has the roses in the corner. I cut out a portion of the rose and slipped the top layer behind it. Worked out great!

My sentiment is from my label maker ;0) with pink tape in it!

How about a close up of that image?
Now jump on over to A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge and join us with this great sketch!
Have a great day and see you tomorrow for "Me and My Space"

My Art Journal - and a Rosie Page

Hello - today I wanted to finally show you my art journal that I made all by myself :0)

A pair of my jeans had to be sacrificed to make this journal cover... but that is ok, cuz they were way to short... so the denim went to a better cause - And I have more to use on later projects :0)

It looks sort of plain here - I had a cricut cut out of Eeyore on it, but then decided I didn't like it, just wasn't right for my art journal - at some point I'll find something that works for the front. But now I am happy with the denim and the vintage pink and lace ribbon sewed to the edges. The inside is 10 pages of heavy card stock that I folded in 1/2 and then hand sewed together... should have taken a photo of that huh? Sorry... was just excited about it and went to work in it.

Now about my page one that I made a last week (you can see it HERE)... well it is leaning on my desk and makes me happy to see it - and well... it was a little large for the end product of my home made art journal.  So I have a new page one -
Love this new page one... my Rosie page.

I started by rubbing the entire page with a dark brown PanPastel paint. Then I gave a quick painting of Ranger Crackle paint. (Thanks to the person that told me a little water would bring it back to life!! Yea saved!!)  Love the light pink and brown - Then for my "work of art" Rosie! I printed one of her photos on adhesive canvas and then tore the edges and stuck it down. Some Distressing ink  to high light the frayed edges and the cracks in the light pink paint. I found a Heidi Grace flourish stamp and did a few stamps on the corners - Rosie needs flourishes, she is very girlie -

A EK Success punch tag to stamp my sentiment "You Make Me Smile" with all the edges inked and the high lighted with a white pencil. Now do you love those flowers or what??? I found those at hobby lobby last week, new spring flowers in the floral section. They are foam.. and small enough to use on cards and "art" - so so happy with them, I may need more! And then just cuz I love her SO much I felt it needed something else on that bottom corner. So a Fiskars Heart punch - just right for my Rosie!!

I had so much fun with this one... and I totally love the way it came out. What will page two be? No clue, I am going to dig through my stash of products and see what else I have that I haven't used in forever... and then play!!!

Have a great Monday! HUGS and-
