Animal Crackers - Wonderful Spring Afternoon

It was a glorious afternoon here yesterday - warm sunny with a breeze. Everyone was enjoying it!

Of course first up I headed out to the goat pen to shoot some more photos of Lucky... LOL

This photo was too funny... he is getting so big! He is twice as big as he was last week, and bopping all over this pen. He is so darn adorable!
Then I headed out to the youth girls pen. Yes... Juliet is still in with the mini girls. Hubby keeps saying yes we will move her out with the other standards, but she so loves being in with the other young girls. She has really bonded up with them, even if she is now head and shoulders taller than they are -and still growing!

Ok... shhhh we have to whisper here...
Diego and Raffie were taking a little afternoon nap in the shade of their barn... lets tip toe away...

Hmmm.. no wonder there are never any leaves on the lower branches of this tree.... Darlene is sooo pregnant, Bella is in the background, we still think she is going to be first -

OK.... FINGERS CROSSED HERE.....
We think we have a family that wants Jack!!! And even better as they really do want him as a buck!! I am so excited, and happy that this really stunning guy will be able to pass on his gorgeous coloring and eyes! And maybe even that cute white toupee? LOL

Does this look comfortable?
Nope... not for me either. But this is how these big fat (very pregnant) goats love to sleep... odd... but hey if they find a way to crash and feel good, that is great!

My Super Model Libbie returned this week!!! I got about 5 really great photos of her, she was just sitting there turning her head and posing for me. Man it has been a long time since she has cooperated! BUT... this was my favorite photo - LOL

"Gotta keep an eye on the goats too Mom" - Her fur has really returned gorgeous. She is so luxurious and gorgeous right now. And now she is most likely pregnant again this week, so it will all go away again. :0( One more litter then I am going to fix her and let her stay gorgeous! For her sake... and mine! This last week has been sooo stressful!

But she does give up gorgeous puppies doesn't she? This is my first really great super model shot of Chica! She wasn't really posing for me like Libbie does, I just happened to snap the very moment she saw me and jumped up and ran towards me - but I got the shot!!

And we will end with our boy Autie... I have NO idea what is going on here, maybe he was really just sticking his tongue out at me?
Hope you enjoyed this week! I had a blast with the photos this week, some weeks the photos just really work out perfectly and I don't have to work for them at all... some times I struggle to get any decent pictures - I am going to walk away happy with this grouping!

Have a great Saturday!

Just Magnolias and Hanglars - Happy Birthday!

Time to celebrate a birthday! We all need more birthday cards in our stashes - and this week Just Magnolias and Hanglars that is the challenge.

So I pulled out one of my more recent Tilda's love the cute present she is hiding behind her back.

I colored her with my Copics - and then cut her out with my oval Nesties.

I finally got some of the GORGEOUS Girls Paperie - oh my I totally adore these papers! I put together a few of the patterns, and sewed them all down. A few mulberry roses, with Martha Stewart fond and branch punches. The sentiment is from Oh My Word, Craft work cards, used a copic around the edge for the pink band.

I read somewhere that the Girls Paperie was shutting down. I am thinking I better order up more papers, cuz I really do totally adore these papers... :0)

Now pop on over to Just Magnolias and Hanglars Challenge and see all the great Birthday Celebration cards!!! AND THERE IS A SUPER PRIZE THIS WEEK!!!
Yep.. Simon Says Stamp - a $50 Gift Certificate! See.. great prize :0)

Have a wonderful Friday... see you tomorrow for some Animal Crackers!

Stampavie's - Tina Wenke's - Sent from Above

I totally adore Tina Wenke... LOL personally and her art! I wanted to create something a little different with her Sent from Above image - I saw somewhere in blog land a cute baby carriage, they had used a template or die I think. Me... I just went for it, and love how it came out!

Seriously - this was super easy to put together. You can create it to be any size you would like. Three circles, each 1/4 smaller than the next. Cut out 1/4 of each circle to create the Pac-Man shape LOL - Then 8 Circles for the wheels. For the band around your buggy to hold the sides together, just measure the distance of the circle (the 3/4 of it) or the length, then for the width, what ever distance you would like for "filling". Mine is 3 inches wide, you can determine how large you would like with your circles. Then I scored 1/2 inches on each side, and cut slits to the score line. This is so when you roll the band around the circle to attach on the inside it will roll and not crinkle. (Does that sound right?) Attach your wheels, and then cut a scrap piece for the handle and taadaa! I inked the edges of all my pieces before attaching thing together...

And is that a happy baby or what? I colored with my Copics and then cut out. The balloon has Dimensional Glaze on it for a shiny look. I then added LOTS of pearls, good thing these came on a roll... would have killed me to line them all up like that. But I thought this girlie buggy needed some pearls. And then for the tag on the side -
Totally fell in love with the Papertrey Ink sentiment "Heaven Sent" PERFECT! For this project, but it was too small for the Spellbinders Fancy Tag - So I cut down the tag and made it fit!

Hubby said.. "Real cute, what is it for" Uh.. I have no idea, maybe a table topper, or to decorate a cake? I don't really know, but I love how it came out and I think it is just too cute to worry about what it is "for". LOL

Have a great Day! See you tomorrow for Just Magnolias & Hanglars Challenge!

Me and My Space - Copic Refills

I had a bit of a messy break down last night. I sat down at my desk, where I have been working like crazy to get some special DT stuff done, and just flipped out. My desk was a total wreck. I have been looking at getting some sort of hutch or something for the back portion of my desk, but just am not seeing what I like out there. So last night I took everything off my desk and... hold on to your hat here.... and I CLEANED it! It took me a couple of hours, but I feel so much better, now! I have more than a 6x6 space to work on! LOL I also removed half of my Copic storage boxes, it was just too big, stood up too tall on my desk - they are now just in three boxes, lets see if that works out, or if I go back to the way they were... HA! (you can see my old version HERE)
I also re-organized my Copic Refills - before they were also in the clear storage boxes, taking up lots of vertical space on my desk. For something that really isn't used that much. I had picked up a those Walmart CD boxes a while back, and decided it was time to give them a real purpose! I'll show off the other ones later...

This is what the boxes look like. Clean and I love the metal tab on the front. Once I have them all filled and in place I do matching labels. I got mine on clearance last fall for I think about $4.00 -

Here it is open. Right on top I keep my Copic Book - So far.. knock on wood.. I have been really good about keeping it up to date. In the beginning of purchasing my Copics I didn't really keep a good list of what I had. Yep... I got me a few extras a couple of times :0( Now when I am ordering my markers or refills I just take my little book and no worries!
But seriously now.. how happy does that look? Love Love Love seeing them all in order all the pretty colors. Hubby thought I was a bit nuts last night when I showed him my refills and my Copics all lined up. LOL hey his fish flies make him happy... my markers and refills make me happier! Cuz I can use mine everyday!

I love how these fit perfectly into the CD Box standing up and can be sat closed up on the shelf. Why didn't I think of this when I got the boxes months ago? :0)

Now for my personal item this week... How about my hearts?
Ok, I collection Donkeys - and I also love to get things with hearts. (Married on Valentines day so it is fitting) These are two hand blown heart paper weights I got forever ago at a craft show. I totally love them. They are just so pretty and shiny. They are always on my desk.... sometimes really buried but they are there - peeking out to me. I don't think I have ever used them as a paper weight... but their real purpose is just to make me smile. I mean these are some serious bling hearts don't you agree? If you look at my desk photo above you can see them :0)

Hope you enjoyed today's Me and My Space - I have something really fun to show off tomorrow! So pop back ok?

Spoon Full of Sugar - All Creatures Great and Small

Today's challenge at A Spoon Full of Sugar is "All Creatures Great and Small" or basically anything to do with pets and animals. Me... still in a bit of the Easter card making mood, I used Stampavie's Penny Johnson's "My Little Lamb" - really sweet image.

I wanted a clean fresh Spring look for this one, and decided that I loved the look of the white and light blue - and the DCWV Linen Closet paper collection with white card stock. The Martha Stewart Doily Lace Border Punch, and Papertrey Ink Satin Ribbon fit perfectly. I cut the image with Spellbinders Nesties Label Die. - All the layers are sewed down. OH and the sentiment is from Paper Inspirations.I totally adore the shimmer the DCWV papers have... you can sort of see it here in this photo - I think?

Wonderful challenge this week, I had a really hard time deciding which animal image I wanted to use... millions of animals to choose from, you know me... love my animals! HA!

Hope you will pop over to A Spoon Full of Sugar and join us this week - great prizes again!

Me.. I am going to try and get some work done. I threw in the towel and finally joined into the crazy world of face book - sigh... now I am lost in seeing old friends and reading and reading and seeing photos. One of the many reasons I hadn't joined before... I am now sucked in!! But loving seeing and chatting with old friends. And well... dinner? You think Hubby will be ok with sandwiches again?

Have a great day -

Dust It Off Sunday - Inspired by an early Donkey photo

This morning for my Dust if Off Sunday project, I was inspired by an early photo that popped up on my computers screen saver. (I just love having all my folders of photos stream across the screen) This photo of Darlene and her "newborn" baby Diego in December 2004 came up. Made me excited all over again, as Diego was our first baby born here at the farm. And then I remembered the stamp I had made of this very photo...

Now this is digging really deep and dusting off lots to find this stamp. This is probably one of the first stamps I had purchased. I was just getting into the stamping "hobby" and ran across an ad for creating stamps out of photos. The quality isn't the best, but I this stamp made me so happy when it came in the mail. And I still love it. A moment in time pressed into acrylic.
So I decided to ink it up and create a page in my art journal with it. I started by using three colors of Pan Pastel paints on the page. (sorry the photo just isn't great today as it was just so dark) I started to use blues and pinks. Then decided to brighten it up and use yellows and greens. Really bright yellows and greens LOL . I stamped Darlene and Diego with Memento ink Cocoa brown. And while digging to find them I ran across my scrap booking stamps from Gelatins. Love these stamps, but haven't used them in forever. And it shows, these stamps have gotten very sticky and gooey. Sad... I got this one to come off the tin, and stamp, but man it was tough. But I totally loved the quote with this photo, so I was determined to use it.

Then for my Lattice and flowers! This was fun to create, I punched the Jumbo Martha Stewart punch on both sides to create the band of lattice, then I punched a couple of lengths of Jumbo MS Vine trim in green. I tore this is smaller pieces and created more of a wave of vine, instead of the straight length. None of my vines here grow so straight, do yours? I punched a bunch of MS Hydrangea flowers, the smallest of the three were the perfect size for the vine. Small dots of a light yellow liquid pearls for the centers -

Hubby asked what is the point of these pages and this art journal. I said nothing really, other than playing with products, trying new things and just seeing what I can make. Some things come out, some don't, this one... well it is still lacking something. I haven't quite figured out what. But I had a chance to try a couple of new techniques and used a couple of stamps that haven't seen the light of day in YEARS!

So have you Dusted off any of your older stamps or crafting tools and made something recently? Link it up and let me come and see it! Have a great Sunday - gotta run, late for the locals breakfast at the cafe down the road!

Animal Crackers - Love Spring and the Baby season!

I just love having a new baby here on the "farm". Lucky, the baby goat, is so fun to watch and see him discover things. I lost an hour the other day watching him see how fun it is to climb rocks! Mind you they were only about knee high, but to him they were a mountain! So with our first birth of the season I am looking forward to the ones coming!

All though from this photo you might think that Bella is just totally bored with being pregnant. It could be just a lazy Spring afternoon.
We "think" she will be next to go into labor. Can't wait she has such fun bouncing babies... they pop out and usually are on the move quick!

But speaking of lazy - Jorge seemed to be enjoying a little nap between two bales of hay - Paco on the other hand seemed to think the best hay was right there above Jorge - he was practically standing on him!
Ok... now I just have to show off more photos of Lucky!!!!
One really cute kid huh? He may be small but he has one set of lungs on him!

If you saw my post on Thursday you may remember that I said Cathy was going to have her hands full with Lucky. He is really funny - he is a new born "kid" so he does sleep a lot. But then when he pops up... he is on the move to discover the world... with Mom trotting behind him of course.
I just had to show you this photo... really is that a cute rear end shot or what? He really has fun striking marks on him, but especially his back 1/2 with the white tail, rear end and legs.... You can't see the movement in the photo of course, but his little tail was moving a million miles per hour.
This was after dinner time... Cathy had finished up her feed, and Lucky seemed to think if you stand in the bowl we might come back and put more in it! Sorry Lucky... we will fill it again tomorrow :0)

My next bet of birthing goats is Chloe....
We have quite a few really fat goats right now, but with all the oops and goats breaking through the fences I just am not sure of who should or would be next - we think all the fences are now secure, but these are goats... they are little sneaks about finding ways out! Then panicking, cuz they are not in their home.

I have never been good at laying odds, but I am thinking Chloe is next. I can't wait to see what her baby will look like. She is gorgeous and her genealogy has tons of color in it! And I hope we get more blue eyes like hers!

No dog photos this week... just didn't get any good shots this week, and with the new baby that is where all my focus was :0)

Have a great day, and thanks for visiting me :0)
