Tilda - For You

Howdy -

Went digging into some older stamps the other day again - I can't remember the last Magnolia Tilda I used - This one was always a favorite. I made the card using a sketch from Splitcoast, I forgot to write down which challenge and now I can't find it. Oh well I got the inspiration!

I even broke out of the square for this one.

My papers are from older stash as well. Tilda brand Kitchengarden collection. I sewed down the layers, stamped a Stampin' Up sentiment and then added some Viva Decor dots to look like little pearls.

Inside same papers -

Colors used -

I pulled out a few Ranger Distress Markers along with my Copics this time. Those flowers and stems to get little -

Hope you enjoyed my card - Think I may be coming down with a cold or something... I think some soup and more coloring will help, don't you?

Have a great day-

Magnolia's Ella the Donkey

Howdy -

Being that Hubby and I have had a quiet Holiday at home, and the weather has been cold and rainy a few days I have had lots of fun in my craft room actually having fun going through all my stamps of way back. Finding that there are quite a few that have never seen ink! The shame! This is one I HAD to have - and now that I have used it finally I am sure you will see it more often. And I am also sure you will see why I HAD to have it....

Love this Magolia image - Ella the Donkey  - Not sure if my kids would let me embellishment like this. Probably would do a roll in the mud to get it all off. LOL - I colored with my Copics (colors below)

Then I went for some inspiration for my card - I have been surfing a lot on the net at new sites, old favorites I haven't been to in a long time. Splitcoast was always a favorite and I found a challenge there in the inspiration category that I really liked - IC473 The Perfect Palette - loved the color challenge and the red, black and white inspiration.

Sewed things down - added some buttons and then the sentiment from Alota Rubber Stamps "Happy Birthday"

The pattern paper is from Prima Marketing  - loved the fun saying - Used it on the inside as well.

Copic colors used -

Having so much fun just playing with old stash! The best part of rainy cold weather days! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend - family, friends? Or maybe the love of some fun craft supplies!

Just Magnolias and Hanglars Challenge - Pearls and Die cuts

Howdy - How has your week been going? Here things are chugging along and doing pretty good.  I know makes me nervous to even say it... normal quiet.  Hubby has been mowing like a crazy person as it is suppose to rain again this weekend and he hasn't caught up from all the growing from the last rain. He has also been working on the "garage" for the Model T.

Me.. I have been a busy beaver, I have been cleaning, photographing, and getting things written up for my new Ebay store. Right now it is mostly just "antiques and collectibles" but I will be putting more craft fun in there soon promise.  It is small right now, but I hope it will get bigger and bigger :0)  If you would like to visit it...  http://stores.ebay.com/DonkeySmiles-Antiques-and-Crafting  ... please remember I am just getting things going :0)

I also have been crafting a ton this week. I know you are looking back at my blog saying "Really?"  But honestly I have! Next week both Whimsy Stamps and High Hopes Stamps have New Releases! So there will be lots of fabulous new images to see!  Hmmm... what else? Oh lost another 2 lbs. this week so I am at 39 gone so far... just short of that big number 40 lbs!!! Hopefully next week I will get over that hurdle. Why is it that those numbers are so hard to hit? thought I would never get to 20, and 30 came finally... and now I am just hanging under 40... 50 is a biggie mark for me so you will se some serious celebrating there!

Ok, how about if I show a card? Today is the Just Magnolia and Hanglar Challenge, and I actually remembered and got my card done a few days ago! The challenge this week is to use pearls and die cuts/punches on your project. Well the pearls that is an easy one, and since I have been trying to play with my new Silhouette Cameo this week, I thought die cutting a shape for my card would be a good test for me. And to get even more testing, I used my gift card that came with it, and downloaded a file to use. I did it! I picked one out, downloaded, opened, resized and cut it out perfectly! So so proud of myself :0)

Here is my card... sorry I ended up going just a tad overboard with the die cuts...

Told you way too much huh? LOL Ok, so I started out with the Silhouette die cut. I believe it is called "Iron Gate Oval". I cut it and then went to my Magnolias to see what would "fit" You see the height was cut at 5.75 inches so the oval could not be any larger. I then found this Tilda that sort of looked to me like she could be looking in a mirror at her new dress. So I colored her up with my Copics ( I am so sorry.. I forgot to take a photo of the colors) I then hand cut her using the center as a traceable oval and cut a bit larger to go behind. For my card I used the same dark brown card stock as the base, a light pink mat, and then a sheet of Prima Tea Time pattern paper. I sewed it in place, added a satin ribbon for more color and then glued down Tilda is my massive die cut. Added pearls to the circles of the die cut. It seemed empty in the corners. Really it wasn't right to me. So I looked over and saw my Memory Box Corner flourish... uh it is pretty close don't you think? glued them down in the corners, and added more pearls. Uh... no where for a sentiment... LOL

I used some Stickles on Tilda's jewels and made her dress all sparkly.

The inside is pretty much the same, just a different piece of the pattern paper.

too much? Oh well I had fun playing. How about you? I know you have pearls and die cuts or punches so join us for a fabulous prize again this week. Hop on over to the challenge HERE and see all the DT's projects and then link up your project.

OH my on the run today! A few errands for me while Hubby is working on the garage. And while out I am planning to meet up with BFF Tracey for a more than needed pedicure! And then the grocery store...sigh... man I hate going there lately. Nothing sounds good! Need something new and different to make, that doesn't take all day to prepare. May do a search for some ideas before I go...

So what you up to today? Plans for the weekend? Share....

Have a great one! HUGS and

Just Magnolia and Hanglar - PINK

Friday!! The days are just flying by aren't they? So here is Friday again, and today it is my day to join in with the girls at Just Magnolia and Hanglar Challenge. Good week too cuz the them is all about PINK :0)

Now since I am so far behind, sorry...  but I am. I decided to double duty my challenge today with a "box" I made for my MIL's birthday this week. I needed something to put her present in besides wadding up the bag it came in... so I dug out one of my sizzix dies and made a little case!

It is a Bigz die, Suitcase Bag - one day I am going to get a pro similar... :0) Cuz I would love this to be larger! I won't lie I messed this up first go around. I tried to make it out of the sizzix board... messed up two pieces darn it! Then I realized that it was just too much for it, the sides need to bend. So I started over with a grey piece of card stock and it works much much better. I colored up one of my Tilda's - I love how she is leaning in on the edge. Please don't be upset.. but I was so out of it I forgot to take the photo of the markers. I have been doing pretty good was so upset with myself. She has been loosely cut out. I used the sizzix die to cut out two pieces of pattern paper for the front and back. I stuck Tilda down, then I found a Whimsy sentiment and cut it out with a matching die. I added a little bit of color to it. I then found some adhesive pearls on a roll. Love these. I stuck them around the edge. This case needed some serious girly feel to it. I looked at it and realized I had covered up just about all the roses on the paper.. and that was my pretty pink!!!! So I found three mulberry pink roses and fond punch leaves and added them, and pop dotted the sentiment.

Moving on to the sides. I added two rows of lace, making sure that when the sides over lap when closed that they match up ok. Looked a little plain, so I added more pearls. Pearls always dress things up right?

MIL's gift just barely fit inside.... barely. She seemed to really like it. And she was happy cuz this would sit up and not blow over "like a card". Wasn't the thought when making it, but hey if that works out that is great.

So now it is time for you to jump on over to the Just Magnolia and Hanglar Challenge and see all the DT's Pink... then join us for this weeks great prize.

So today... well Hubby and I are trying to get a bunch of little things done cuz we want to play tomorrow. A little over an hour from here is a big city garage sale :0) Last time we went there were TONS of antiques and vintage items. So we are hoping that it is the same this time. Gonna have to get up before the crack of dawn to feed all the animals then make the drive to be there early when it opens.

So I'll schedule up my post for Saturday... it is gonna be double duty... Animal Crackers and the first of the month so it is also Whimsy Release... so I hope to see you Saturday! Thanks for stopping in today.

Just Magnolia & Hanglar Challenge - Birthday

Hi - Wow... it has been a fun, but tiring week for us here! Hubby and I have been taking our day trip vacations. We really have had a lot of fun and have been seeing lots of really good junk. LOL Antiquing all the towns around us - If only I had a few more walls available in my house I have seen some FABULOUS pieces I really wanted to bring home. Just kills me that my house is already so full. I told Hubby I think it is time to add on to the house again...HA! He has gotten a few great things he is happy with, and I have found a few things that make me smile. Once I have taken a breath I will try and take a few photos and share - But still on the go right now so no time! Whoo Hoo!

But to the challenge today - the Just Magnolia and Hanglar Challenge - and this week it is a easy one. To make a birthday card.

Here is mine - I dug into my older Tildas...

Yee Haw I went a little bit country this week. I love this cowgirl Tilda. Probably the Texas thing. I colored her with my Copics (see colors below) and then I blinded her totally! I don't know about the Rodeo Cowgirls in your area, but here, the more bling on your clothes and boots the more in fashion you are! So LOTS of stickles were used.. I think she is happy. My papers are Creative Imaginations, So love this paper, I cut up a few pieces strategically and sewed them in place. I made a flower with a Tim Holtz Sizzix die, with a pearl adhesive center. My Happy Birthday is pink letter stickers. My Tilda is pop dotted on to the front with the corners wrapped with twine. "Get a Rope!"

Here is a close up of Blinged Out Tilda -

Inside is simple with a cream colored card stock punched with EK Success punch and a scrap of pattern paper sewed in place.

And here are the colors used for Tilda

Hope my card gave you a smile, now do a little line dance over to the Just M&H Challenge and see all the DT cards. Then join us with a Birthday card for a chance at a great prize :0)

So where are we today? Well as of typing... I have no clue! LOL I'll report in tomorrow for Animal Crackers and let you know - Hope you are having fun where ever you are. Have a great day.

Just Magnolia and Hanglar Challenge - All the B's

Hi - this week's Just Magnolia and Hanglar Challenge is a really cool one I thought. At least different! The challenge is all the B's... what does that mean? To use as many things on your card that starts with the letter "B"... now I first started to go with a girlie card with lots of bling, butterflies and such. Then when going through my stamps I had a new Magnolia stamp that I had not inked up yet. I passed over it trying to find a flowing dress girlie Tilda... then I went back to it... hmmmmmm  it starts with a "B". So I decided to do something a bit different and go with it!

Get it? "BaseBall"! We love baseball around our house. I try and never miss a Yankee game! Go Yankees! And when I saw this Tilda with the bat on he shoulder I had to have it. I colored her up with more "Blue" than the white and red. I decided she was just finishing a game and gave her some dirt on her uniform. I added some Viva Decor Pearl Pen in a circle on the ground as the "BALL"... My papers... had lots of trouble there. then I ran across a piece of paper with the dictionary terms for all the "Beauty" words... and "Beautiful" written all over it. I also noticed a little "Butterfly" on a section, so I made sure that wasn't covered up.

Found some foam letters in my stash so I inked them to let them show up a bit more and spelled out "beauty". My scrap of Graphic 45 paper is "Blue" then I added three "Blue" "Buttons", and a satin ribbon and "Bow". I think I covered a fair amount of things with the letter "B"... at least I hope I did :0)

And then on the inside I used more scraps - that match the front.

I want to find a quote for the inside. Something about I see your beauty in any fashion, or no matter what you wear.. darn it I know I have read it and I will find it and put it inside :0)

So now if you pop on over to the Just Magnolia and Hanglar Challenge site you will see all the DT's "BEAUTIFUL" creations! Then join us Simon Says Stamps is giving a great gift certificate this week!! And I know we all love shopping there!

Ok, now off to get Friday going. This has just been a whirl wind week, totally run run run. We sold the property our business was on last week. And now we are trying to get things all completed and closed out... you would think that would be easy. But NOOOOOO  everyone wants things in writing now a days and all the information they can from me. I swear I thought about asking if they wanted to know what color my toe nail polish is... really, just close things down! But it is starting to all be final, and then we can move on to the next step of life. What is that you ask? No clue... LOL Oh we will still have our "farm" and the animals they are part of the family. But as for the rest... we are going to roll with it and see how things go. Speaking of the farm and the animals... just wait until tomorrow and you see what Hubby is building me :0) So excited about it!!!!!

See you tomorrow for Animal Crackers -  (Oh and Tuco is recovering pretty well... just need to keep him from running and playing to hard still)

Just Magnolia and Hanglar Challenge - Father's Day and/or Edwin

Warning ... this weeks Just Magnolia and Hanglar challenge I found very hard this week! Just couldn't get into it at all.... I went through all my Edwins, and one I was SHOCKED at how many I do have. I think 99% of the had to have come in Kits... anyway, I found one that I wanted to color, the little sailor and the ship port window.

Colored with my Copics, then cut them out. Then I went through every piece of paper I own. Ok.. didn't really but I went through a whole lot of them. Nothing felt right, nothing even 1/2 way felt right. It sat on my desk for three days!! I just couldn't pull it together. Then last night I was down to the wire and had to do something, and just well... threw it together with scraps and pieces. They don't go well... but you know sometimes you just need accept defeat and move on -

So look quick and scroll on down.....

Sad huh? So lets just move on to the info - well there isn't much. I used scraps. The sentiment is a Magnolia sentiment that I stamped on light blue fabric tape. Then my dots... love those :0) Those are Viva Decor Paper Pen dots in dark brown. I used Viva Decor ice white for the splashes on the wave, and the gold for the buttons on Sailor Edwins pants buttons.

The other DT girls rocked this one so do make sure to pop over there and see their cards, then do join in for another great prize this week.... sorry I just didn't have it at all this week.

Little update about my phone drama..... Wednesday afternoon Michelle went totally babbling mad. The 100th "supervising tech" called me and assured me that he was going to fix my problem and get my phone working. 3.5 hours later on the phone with him he was done and had nothing else to try... but please give him a few days to think about it and he will get back to me. I hung up totally worn out and just plain ill. A little later another high ranking tech from my carrier called and he had just gotten my file and again assured me that he was going to fix the issue. Over an hour into the conversation.... well - someone else took over my mind and mouth and I basically turned the poor man inside out. Seriously over 4 months and now like 28 techs from both Apple and my carrier all assured me the same things and said that to give them a day or two and they would get back to me. NONE of them ever contacted me again. So... I basically told him that was it I was finished and hung up. Then I talked to my local store.... and then a customer service person... and 3 hours later that night I was at the store and shelling out more money to get a new HTC EVO 4GLTE - iPhone over.  I have to send it back to the company this week. Do you think they will notice a few shot gun holes through it?   OH... and my phone number ... the number I have had for like 18 years!!! ... Gone I now have some stupid number that I cannot for the life of me remember.  But you know what??? It is over. I have had my iPhone since January.... nothing but problems. And it is over!  And I am not in prison.. so far. But I have calmed down and moved on with life.  Life of baby goats that is. We ran an ad for the babies.... sold three and have a couple that are being looked at. Good homes - promise :0)  I'll talk more about that tomorrow in Animal Crackers.

Now - I need some therapy coloring - I am thinking lots of pink and girlie would really help me right now.

See you tomorrow!

Just Magnolia and Hanglar Challenge - Gingham

Hi -
Happy Friday! It is Just Magnolia & Hanglar Challenge - and today it is all about Gingham! I love Gingham... those adorable little boxes in all colors. For me this was also a great chance to use my new Magnolia image... Little Miss Muu Muu - totally love her!

Calves are just adorable, Cows... not so much :0) I say that because shortly after we moved to "the country" we found ourselves with three cows. I named them of course and we started caring for them all while trying to find the owners. Days.. then Weeks.. we still had the cows. Then one day there was a fourth... one dropped a baby. And oh my our property... they licked my truck, "went" everywhere ( and that was just plain gross) broke fences... well you get the point. And they were not friendly at all. We gave them to a local that had cows and decided to stick to donkeys.

Ok how about I get to my card? LOL I used my copies to color her, and then found some October Afternoon papers that were looked like Miss Muu Muu would like. Sewed things together. I then cut out a My Favorite Things doily and a couple of circles out of scraps. I stamped a sentiment from Stampabilities, then placed it over the corner and cut it down. A Red gingham ribbon around the bottom, and then my flowers. I looked up and saw my vase of flowers from the craft store. They are plastic, but they are just like the ones Miss Muu Muu is holding! A few Martha Stewart Frond leaves and done!

Close up of my flowers.

I then picked up my scraps and did a simple inside

Fun card - with two patterns of Gingham for the challenge. Now it is your turn to visit the Just Magnolia and Hanglars Challenge and enter a card with gingham for this weeks prize.

Better go and check on the new kids. Still having problems with them eating from Mom - but they seem to be doing pretty good. I hope they can continue to get stronger and we get them eating 100% from Lillie.

See you tomorrow for Animal Crackers -

Just Magnolia & Hanglar Challenge - Two or more Stamps!

Happy Friday - this week at Just Magnolia & Hanglar Challenge it was my turn to host and choose the theme. Having so many images to choose from I thought it might be fun to use at least two on the project/card. Mask and use Backgrounds, accessories or just 2 or more images anywhere on the project.

For my card I used three images. This card is for my MIL for Mothers Day on Sunday.. so shhh don't show her ok?

I made an easel card, MIL likes those cuz they stand up on her coffee table. Now yes, I know this is a BOLD card. But I just totally fell head over heels at this paper. These papers are from the Graphic 45 Fashionista collection. They remind me of my my MIL...

So I stamped by masking all three images to create my scene. All my layers are sewed down, Papertrey Ink red satin dotted ribbon as bands on both the top and bottom with a lacey edge created with My Favorite Things die. Leaf flourish and the sentiment are also from Papertrey Ink. Mulberry Roses and Martha Stewart branch punches.

Now make sure to head over to the Just Magnolia and Hanglar Challenge and see all the Dt inspiration, and then join us for this weeks prize.

We are dealing with water here.. rain water. Drying up  and HOT and then rain rain rain. We so need it so this is not complaining at all. But I just feel for all the animals... it is really soggy out there. I hope I can get out there and get photos for tomorrow. You may see a lot of wet animals -

Just Magnolias and Hanglars Challenge - Bows and Buttons

Hi - It is Friday! And today is my week for Just Magnolias and Hanglars Challenge. And the challenge this week is Bows and Buttons or Buttons and Bows. Either way you need to use buttons and bows on your card.

Me... I used a new Magnolia image. I thought this was an adorable Magnolia image, I love Tildas... but I really like that there are some other new images. But... well I ordered it and when it came, WOW it is a big image! LOL So I stamped it out and colored it, then decided that is is really a big image for a 6x6 card. Unless it is the entire front of the card. So I tried it on a 5x7 card. Still big, but it works.
So due to the image being so large I thought it was best to keep it simple. Which is tough for me. I used cream card stock for the base, then my two pattern papers are from Paper Studio. I liked that it has a pastel feel.. for some reason I see a duck I think babies??? LOL Anyway... I added a cream colored ribbon with that all important bow. Three buttons in the right corner. And my sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps, as well as the fancy ticket die -
I forgot to show you my water. I had colored the duck with my Copics, but then I topped the water off with Dimensional Glaze, for that shiny thick look. Love that.

Now you need to pop over and see all the DT cards at the Just Magnolia and Hanglar Challenge. Great prize as always.

See you tomorrow for Animal Crackers!

Just Magnolias and Hanglars - SPRINGTIME!

Isn't it wonderful??? Well I hope it is where you are, here in Texas it is SPRINGTIME! And I am totally loving it! We have had LOTS of spring babies as well and that is just another reason for me to love Spring :0) Yes, more babies... a set of triplets and a set of Quads! I'll have lots of photos on Saturday :0)

But for today I have my Just Magnolia and Hanglar Challenge card. And the theme is Springtime. Colors, or flowers what ever that means to you. Me it was both. I just got in a few new Magnolia images from Magnolia-licious. Man super fast shipping!

When I saw the new stamp "Tilda's Heartflowers" I HAD to have it. Just love it, and the adorable heart petals.
Now first off you may notice this is card that isn't square. Shocker huh? Yes, since I have been asked to make up some cards for a local gift shop, I decided that I needed to make up some other sizes of cards. Especially cards that don't cost extra postage here. Love those square cards, but they do have to have that extra few stamps :0) - So here is a 5x7 card. I used a couple different pattern papers. A scrap of a Graphic 45 paper, then two patterns for October Afternoon. I sewed the layers together with a fun zig zag stitch.

My image is colored with my Copics - then I used Viva Decor Pearl Pens to high light and add some shine. Love those things! They are too cool, I just wish I could have all the colors... maybe someday :0)  The border die is from Papertrey Ink, loved how it sort of looks like the flowers. I added a pink dotted satin ribbon, also Papertrey Ink, and then three buttons. The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps.

And look I did the inside too - so proud that is three cards in a row for me! Need to make it a habit then it won't seem like extra to me, right?

Now head on over to the Just Magnolia and Hanglar Challenge and see all the Springtime inspiration, then join us for another great chance at a prize this week.

Make sure to visit tomorrow - LOTS and LOTS of baby kid photos! Have a great Friday!

Just Magnolias and Hanglars - Dreaming of a White Christmas

Great challenge this week at Just Magnolias and Hanglars challenge... but not real life for me. Dreaming of a White Christmas -I use to personally wish and hope and dream for snow in Texas. Now... having all the animals - NOPE Give me Spring and Fall.... I am happy right there!  But to play with fake snow for a challenge. That is fine :0)

So for today's challenge my card - I went through my winter Tilda's and found this little lady - I love her. I want an out fit like that. Might not look as cute on my as it does her, but I still want it.
I decided to challenge myself to color a white suit for her. I think it came out looking more tan, but I still am happy with how it came out. I have such a hard time doing this. Snowmen totally freak me out! LOL But I really like her suit. I colored with my Letraset Promarkers. I wanted her to be standing in the snow... so I hand drew in some mounds of snow and then shaded them just a little bid.

For my card - the challenge was to have snowflakes - snow that kind of thing. I found this sparkle glittered card stock in my stash. I couldn't find a maker, I think I got it at Michaels.

I used white card stock, then kraft card stock. I white gauze ribbon around the middle, with a few small mulberry roses. I found a pin from Maya Road that just felt right too. Reminded me of that snowman... LOL

For my sentiment -

Was just PERFECT for the challenge. This is from Inky Impressions. They have some fabulous sentiments you can find them HERE.

Make sure you click on over to Just Magnolias and Hanglars challenge this week - to see all the winter wonderful projects. Then join us to play in the snow!

I'll see you tomorrow for Animal Crackers!

Just Magnolia & Hangler AND Inky Impressions Inspiration

Happy Friday - Busy Friday! Today I have two projects to share with you. Friday of course is always Just Magnolia & Hanglar Day... and it also is my day to post at the Inky Impressions Inspirations Blog - so you get two projects here to see!

First up is this weeks Just Magnolia and Hanglar project. It was my week to host there, and I have really been feeling the Fall... well not physically cuz it still feels like 145 degrees here in Texas.... but you know the back to school, ready for the colors to change feeling. Well that was my choice for a challenge. School or Fall - you decided. I went with the back to school part - And pulled out one of my Favorite Tildas... This is my Kaylynn Tilda. :0) Why? Cuz everytime I see this little image I think of my niece Kaylynn it just looks like her to me, totally adorable. I looked back at things I have done with this image and I ALWAYS color her with red... hmm... Oh yea, Red is my nieces favorite color! HA! Funny how our minds just do things like that huh?

These bookmarks are so cute, I have been wanting to make one forever. And then I ran across the tutorial at Splitcoast - HERE  - Well I used the basics... My papers are October Afternoon - and then I found a ruler ribbon in my stash. Flowers or frilly border punch didn't feel right so I went with EK Success Zig Zag - My image is colored with Copics, along with the Magnolia books, I only needed three of the five here though :0) I cut everything out and then stuck them to my bookmark. It wasn't a hard project, but I totally was happy making it. Maybe it is the bright colors? The fun School papers? My Niece sitting there looking up at me? Oh it was just fun!

Make sure to pop over and see the Just Magnolia & Hanglar DT's projects this week - I have had a peek... really stunning again this week! And a great prize up for grabs too :0)

******************************
Now my Inky Impressions Inspirational Project -

While looking to see what I wanted to make for my first post... I just kept coming back to Lillie's Awareness Ribbon image. Seemed like I "needed" to use her. And then I came to me, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month... and making a little Pop up Card would really put a focus on Lillie and her Ribbon.
Originally I found the tutorial for the pop up card over at SplitCoast - Here is a link to the tutorial. I like that it is a free standing card and that it can fit into a envelope and be mailed.
I used just basic pink and cream colors. With of course some pretty pearls :0) I tied a pink ribbon across the front with a EK Success Punch of the computer generated Sentiment "Think Pink"  I then also typed out a little reminder and placed it just under the image.

Lillie is colored with my Copics.
I hope you liked my Inspirational Pop UP Card - and I know you just love Lillie ;0) - So now POP over to see her at the Inky Impressions Shop HERE And now is the time as she is specially priced right now A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the NATIONAL BREAST CANCER FOUNDATION & ALSO THE AMERICAN DIABETES ASSOCIATION -

Thanks for visiting ;0) See you tomorrow for Animal Crackers!

Just Magnolias and Hanglars - A wonderful Sketch

Happy Friday!!Today is a fun day for me :0) There is a Scrapbooking Convention in a near by town. I really truely don't need a thing... but Hubby and I are taking it as a date day ;0) He volunteered to take me to the show, then out to lunch. I am so excited... Craft Goodies - and a day with Hubby! But to business first - Today is the Just Magnolia's and Hanglar's challenge!

Today's Challenge is a simple sketch from DT member Jacque  - with the added suggestion of embellishing with Fall in mind. In my Mind... Tilda went for a horseback ride on a cool crip Fall morning.... how is that for imagination -

I hope my card has that Fall feeling. I loved the Prima Reflections papers when I ran across them looking for "Fall" - I think they have that look, and they are just so yummy! I went with the sketch while trying really hard to not hide all the pretty birds and flowers around the edge of the main paper. I inked the edge lightly with Ranger Distress ink Tea Dye I think is the name... something like that. I colored Tilda with my Copics, cut her out with a Nestie Oval... and inked the edge. I added a ribbon around the middle.. just needed too. And then lots of Mulberry Roses, MS Branch punches and Pearl hat pins. The words are Tim Holtz Tickets. Love them.. I think they are fun.

Here is a close up of the roses... I added Diamond Stickles to them....
Love my Diamond Stickles... but it was oh so sad as I was finishing up the is card......... I am totally out of my Diamond Stickles!!! Gone all Gone.... it is my favorite. I will be on the look out for that at the show today. I need to replace that for sure. Other than that it will have to be something at a super really good deal or I am just window shopping.... HA!!! I'll let you know how that goes!
