A Floral Fantasy at A Spoon Full of Sugar

This week at A Spoon Full of Sugar this week it is a Floral Fantasy.. that is pretty easy, and fun! We just need to see some sort of flowers on your card.

For my card it was just perfect timing to use another new Stampavie image!! This is from artist Helz Cuppleditch and is called "Teddy Say it with flowers". How wonderful is she??? Perfect for Nesties Oval die cuts huh? She is colored with my Copics.
For the card I started with a light pink card stock as the base, as well as a scalloped oval to mat behind my image. I doodled around the image with a white gel pen.

Now how pretty and soft are those papers? They are a new stack from K & Co. and I think it is called WP Gypsy Baby - I just feel in love with it, such pretty patterns! I picked three patterns, the stripes I added a Martha Stewart Double Dot Scalloped border punch and then sewed down everything, oh after I inked the edges with a pale pink ink.

Now it was time for my "Floral Fantasy" .. I could not find any flowers in my stash that matched perfectly.. too pink.. too yellow... just nothing! So I pulled out my white flowers and then used my Copics and my air compressor and two shades of pink (R81 & R83) and made the perfect color! Love that! For the centers I used some Making Memories pearls, these are wonderful they are flat on the bottom, easy to just add a glue dot. They came in a little box of "gems and pearls" that I found last week. Might have to get more of these.... And now those leaves. They are a Martha punch, a leaf that I have had forever! Why haven't I used it before??? Well I will now cuz I love how they look with the flowers!

The sentiment... again another little plug for my friend Jessica's stamps The Greeting Farm sentiment collection called "Butterfly Wishes" I am so loving this set, it is so fun and different! You get quite a few wonderful sentiments and quotes for the inside of your card. Check it out! OH and while there... Greeting farm just released new stamps again... you are going to love I am sure!

Now you can pop over to Spoon Full of Sugar to see a whole bunch of flowers and wonderful cards from the other DT... We all just love flowers! And don't forget to make up your own floral fantasy and join in for the prize!

Better get my grove on and get busy.. today is MIL shopping day and lots on the list of places to stop.. including JoAnn's ... and I don't get to go there very often!!
HUGS and have a wonderful Tuesday!

Joy Love and Happiness

Wow.. I am still in shock over the fabulous comments from my Blog Candy! And Congrats again Susan for winning! (Yes.. she did contact me so she is the actual winner!)

For my card today I just has some fun... pulled out a Greeting Farm Anya stamp and used my favorite colors and just put a card for fun together - Anya is colored with my Copics and then doodled around the edges. For my papers I used all scraps! I put together all pinks, brown and kraft paper for this one. Pulled out Martha Stewarts' Doily Lace border punch and made a white lace for one side. A piece of brown ribbon with pink thread for a band across the middle. I sliced just before the lace and ran the ribbon through the paper. I have a punch coming to do that... I hope it gets here soon :0)
Love the sentiment - just a fun one - it is from inkadinkadoo.

I enjoyed making a simple card just to relax. Then I could get busy on lots of DT work. Well short post today - Hubby is home and we had a bunch of trees delivered to plant here and the neighbors. BIG trees... so lots is going on around here today. But I have LOTS for tomorrows post in fact two post for tomorrow! So that should make up for the short one today - Hope you have a wonderful Thursday-

Sadly goodbye to Club Anya ..... MEET BABY MIRTA!!!

My guest DT with Club Anya is over... I have LOVED being a part of this fabulous team of ladies, and leaving the team is very sad for me. I have become addicted to this Greeting farm images, and all though I will not be a part of the team... they can't keep me from playing with them! I still plan on working as much as I can with this great group, and I know my GF images will be inked often as I just love working with them. Jessica.. the club VP asked me to make a farewell card. So I inked up Anya Shine as it is summer time -

Anya is colored with my Copics and then high lighted with my white gel pen. I cut her out with my Fiskar's craft knife. Do you just love those flip flops or what?
The base is a dark brown card stock, then a pink core'dinations card stock that I distressed the edges. That pattern paper is just wonderful! It is from Paper Trunk and is called Maybe Baby...just love that name! I used a Martha Stewarts wave punch on green card stock and then the same brown, and then cut the pattern just enough for the borders to slide under. I sewed everything together with pink thread. OH and I distressed the pattern paper as well. I added some buttons for some added fun...

Cuz "GIRLS JUST WANT TO HAVE FUN!" another of my Cloud 9 epoxy stickers, on pink card stock then matted on a scrap of the dark brown.

Thank you again Jessica.. and everyone at Greeting Farm and Club Anya for my time with Club Anya.. it was short, seems like a blink of an eye, but I loved it! Thanks so much!

Now before I cry... would you like to meet Mirta? Who is Mirta you ask?

MIRTA IS VICKI'S BRAND NEW BABY GIRL!!!!!!!!

( Do you know how hard that was to hold to the end of the post LOL)

Her "full" registered name is "Ranchito de Crossback Mirtas Secret". The Ranchito de Crossback is our "ranch" name - all babies born here have that in their name. Mirta.. that is a name we have been saving for a special little girl. We have a taco house nearby, that Hubby gets his breakfast every morning on his way to work, the owner's name is Mirta... a very sweet funny lady and I have loved her name since hearing it. I am sure all of the locals are going to get a hoot out of it as soon as they hear what we named her. And then the Secret part... well you see Vicki is a Rolls Royce I guess you would say. She has a blue ribbon pedigree, both her father and her grandfather were show ring champions. And her father has the secret as part of their name. Her father is "It's a Secret" she is "Victoria's Secret" so now to follow our Spanish named babies... we have "Mirta's Secret"

She was born about 5:30 am and these photos she is still wet.. Vicki is doing so wonderfully. She birthed her all own her own. I was out with her 3 times during the night, the last time around 4:30 am came in and then when Hubby went our just before 6 am the baby was standing in the pen with Mom cleaning her all up. I am so proud of Vicki!! Well heck pretty darn proud of Raffi as well... another little girl! And we are not for sure about the coloring yet, they always look darker when wet... but WOW she seems like she has the dark spots like her Mom... I'll have lots more photos on Saturday.. pretty photos with her fuzzy clean and most important dry fur! Let me tell you... I will sleep good tonight!

A Sketch from A Spoon Full of Sugar

Today is another sketch ... from a Spoon Full of Sugar! I loved this one and think I will be using it again. Love the circle and the flourish!

For my card I decided it was time to ink up one of my Greeting Farm Ian's that I hadn't gotten a chance to use yet. Isn't he a dapper little dude? I colored him with my Copics , then used my white gel pen to add more stripes and high light. Chalk is used for the back ground, and then a grass stump stamp for added more detail. I was asked if I do my Chalk first or stamp first. I stamp my image, then do the chalk. That way any chalk that gets onto the image is wiped away with my Copics.

My card starts with a white card base. The black background is a scrap.. aren't you proud of me I have been really using up some of this mountain of scraps! The grey pattern is from DCWV, and the red circle is BoBunny. I used Martha Stewart Double Dot Scallop for my band across the middle, then added a black and white gingham ribbon. My Flourish is from Heidi Grace - I high lighted it just a bit with my black glaze pen. Happy Birthday is from my Label Maker, why did I put off buying that for so long? I love that thing! Then I went through my button box and found misc. buttons a few of which are felt, thought they looked different. For the end I stitched the edges with my white gel pen and my black glaze pen.

It is a great sketch to work with - hope you will give it a go and join in on the challenge this week. The girls have gotten another great prize this week!

Hope to catch up on some blog reading today - while doing my "chores" of the day LOL! Have a great Tuesday!

Hope and Grace -

I just couldn't stand it I was trying to not purchase any stamps this month - and well.... I just had to have these ;0) Hope and Grace from The Greeting Farm - Are they just precious or what?

Then I couldn't decided which one from the set I wanted to use first - so I made it easy and put both of them on a card! They are colored with my copics, and then for the sky I used my shimmer chalk and doodled the edges.

For the card I used a white card stock, and all of the pattern papers are from Making Memories 8x8 Spring Fling collection pad - love it, especially when I got it on a Target clearance last month for 2.48 - yep less than 2.50 for the whole stack! I inked the edges of the papers with a light green ink, the gel pen stitched the edges of the background leaf paper. For my flowers, this paper was just perfect colors for some felt flowers that were in my stash, I used a button for the center of the larger flower and mini brads for the smaller ones. The sentiment is part of the Hope and Grace set that I stamped on a label that I cut out of one of the solid papers from the collection with my Slice. I used jewelery spacers and mini brads to put it down and hung a heart charm with a small piece of chain.
I just love this set - these two are so cute - It sure is getting hard to have a favorite at The Greeting Farm... there are so many really adorable ones coming out, then all of the ones I already love! Guess that it is a good thing - more to love!
Today is MIL shopping day - a short one I told her to narrow down her list so we wouldn't be gone all day - yea right.... I bet we still are! LOL But I have one stop at Michael's on my list :0) I am still trying to find a couple of the new border punches I have been wanting -
Hope you have a great Thursday!

YOU WANNA WALK THE PLANK?

Well you might if you could get this new set at the end of it! Take a look at this sneak peek "Matey"! Well I love all of this months new releases from The Greeting Farm.. but this set Matey is my favorite! I think it is that soft spot I have for that cutie Captain Jack ;0) - But seriously this is a whole set of stamps that are all wonderful - me.. for my card just pulled out the Captain!I have colored with my Copics and then cut him out with my Fiskar's kraft knife. I even made his face just a bit dirty as do you really know a pirate that is clean?Man I am going to have to spend a whole day cleaning up my crafting area... first yesterday's Surfer Ian's wave paper - then when working on today's card I literally pulled everything off the shelves looking for this paper - I knew I had purchased this 7 gypsies pirate/treasure map paper - I had always thought I would make a scrapbook page about my nieces and Hubby's love of the Pirate movies - they do quotes to each other all the time - oh well I don't really scrapbook hardly any so ... the paper had a higher calling!

Because the paper was just so perfect I really didn't want to cover to much of it up - There is two pieces here the treasure map - then I cut the border off of a second piece, in person you can tell that is a large black ribbon across the middle above the cross bones. I added the four pieces of jewelery spacers with gold brads - and then one extra gold brad for the Captain's ear ring. I then doodled the edges with my Sakura Glaze pen. I also decorated the inside with scraps of the paper... duh forgot to take a photo of it.

You just must visit the Club Anya Blog and see some of the others Matey cards - and visit the DT for even more! There is a Virtual Stamping "Luau" is all set to begin at 8pm CST! We look forward to seeing all of you on the PCP page and Club Blog too for your official release and contest winners info.

Well that is it for me today ... running out the door - Vicki looks like she is wanting to wait until the weekend... so I am going to run a few errands as quick as I can this morning - I'll be back later to do my visiting -

Hangin 10 with Surfer Ian!

Yes, today is day two of sneak peeks from The Greeting Farm and Club Anya! And today we are out in the ocean Hangin 10 Dude! Meet Surfer Ian - he is a dreamy or what?

Now when I saw Surfer Ian I knew I had this one piece of paper - and was so excited about using it! How perfect is it!!! But then panic set in - if I cut it to put it on a card I don't think the "wave" would look like a wave anymore - just wouldn't have the feel.... So I stared at it for a few days - now that really didn't help but I just couldn't cut the paper up. Just about when I was getting to a point where I could wait no more - I looked up and saw this file box sitting on my shelf. I have used this box to hold misc. stamps that I don't use very often. I have been cleaning out these boxes and giving them away and putting all my stamps in my plastic boxes. Well I have one box left - this one. The pattern paper was just a bit to large... but WOW there was my wave box. So I put this together and once done was so happy I hadn't cut that paper! Now what it will be used for now I don't know, I may give it to my nephew - I don't make many "boy" things -
It was hard to not put lots of embellishments on this - but I kept telling myself that it was for a guy - and that the wave and Surfer Ian was the focus. I used a really cool metal ribbon for the bottom border - On the lid there is dark blue card stock - that I punched the bottom with a scalloped border, the ribbon reads "wish you were here" then I cut out the Words "Hangin' 10 Dude" with my Slice and the new Teen cartridge. I was dying to put some big Hawaiian flowers and stuff on it but Hubby stopped me and said no.... LOL

You just must visit Club Anya and see some of the other DT's Handsome Surfer Ian... REALLY CUTE! And pop back tomorrow here... one more Sneak peek and I just LOVE this one - I soooo wish I could give you a hint today - but I would get my hand slapped LOL... so just come back please!!!

Air Conditioner update...wasn't good news... yep we need a new unit, inside and out - sigh! Told Hubby I may have to have a Craft Sell and clean out my stuff to help out with the cost! I am not going to craft without A/C... much less sleep - Thing is he didn't laugh when I said that, I am just going to let "the joke" go right now, as I was kidding... LOL!

Donkey update: Vicki is still very wide.. so we wait for her, Lacey and Cali are doing wonderful! She is an adorable little one and just too sweet. And Rosie is doing SO much better this week, the meds are working again! We took in Alfalfa last night for that pen, she was feeling so much better and happy to see the bag of fresh green alfalfa that she spun around bucking and snorting until Dad got it out for them - was thrilling to see!

Hope you have a great Wednesday -

Another Spoon Full of Sneak Peak HULA!

Seems like Tuesday's have been sneak peek day lately - and so again today my Spoon Full of Sugar is a chance to see an new image! Today it is The Greeting Farm's new Anya... HULA ANYA!!! Just in time for a Summer Luau... I love her! What do you think?
I hear tropical music, waves and am looking for a palm tree and a beach!!

I have colored her with my Copics - and then doodled around her.

Ok, now what do you think of the pattern papers? You are gonna love this... they are from The Greeting Farm! Yes, they are now making paper! And this is a collection of really YUMMY patterns that are heavy double sided paper! These two papers are from the first collection that has been released and the second collection is already coming!
Now for my card - you are probably wondering what the challenge is for Spoon Full of Sugar this week - well it is all Buttoned up! Buttons! And for me and Hula Anya... we found some gorgeous Mother of Pearl buttons!
For my flowers, I just couldn't find any that were the right colors and were perfect for Hula Anya... so I pulled out 4 white flowers, and sprayed them with my Copics and my air compressor. Took lots of ink cuz I wanted them to be really rich and dark, but oh I think it was so worth it!
Sorry today doesn't have all my steps... I am running so late - the air conditioner man is on his way... yep... no air - and that is a tragedy in Texas... I have been dying here. We got it to work for a while last night to cool it off a bit to sleep, but it already is acting up again this morning - so happy he said he could come first thing it is suppose to be 98 today!
Ok so please do make sure you visit all of the Club Anya Design Team (on my side bar) to see all of the wonderful sneak peeks of Hula Anya... and she has a friend that will be visiting for a sneak tomorrow... wink wink...
And then also make sure to visit A Spoon Full of Sugar - Lots of adorable Button creations that are just wonderful to see - and a great prize up for grabs!
Have a great Tuesday -

This guy is smokin hot!

he he he... sorry couldn't resist that title - How cute is this sneak peek of "Rescue Ian"from Greeting Farm? Just a shame he couldn't clean up before making an appearance on my birthday card - but he is still a hottie -

I colored Ian with my Copics, and including his smoke and soot - I then cut him out. The brick wall background is from Magnolia - I just colored in shades of grey my first time I was doing a brick red color, but it was just too dark and too much red - Now I needed a ladder... can you believe I don't have a ladder stamp??? (insert shock face here!) so I just cut one out of a scrap of brown card stock, then sanded to distress it - a fireman's ladder would be worn and used.
The pattern papers is the front and backside of a K I Memories paper. I doodled the edge of the yellow side, Matted the wall and sentiment with scrap red and put it all together. The sentiment is typed out from my electronic label maker. I added a button and small piece of ribbon to the corner that seemed empty.
Then I just had to have some fun.... I don't know where I came up with this but I used some scraps in the inside of the card - doodled and to continue the front "Just In Case..." Sentiment, I typed out and added to the inside "The Candles Get Out of Control - Happy Birthday!" LOL
Now don't forget tonight is the Club Anya Blog Hop!
Now it is time to check out the other DT girls sneak peeks -
They have been stunning all week!!!

A Spoon Full of Sugar and a Sneak Peek of Showtime!

Yes, today is a two card day! Sorry if this one is a bit longer, but I have two pieces of "business"

First is my Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge card - For our Challenge this week we would like to see you create a card or project using Die cuts or Punches.

I dusted off a Hanglar image for this week. My papers are all from SEI Mimosa collection, and I just loved all the citrus colors... so I colored her in the same colors with my Copics, matted with papers from the collection. All the papers are sewed down with zig zag and straight stitches and a peach colored thread.

For my die cuts for the challenges, I pulled out my Making Memories Slice and cut out the word "friends" and the the flower, once in green and then again in the dark peach color, then layered them. After I put the card all together I didn't think you could see the word well enough so I used my white gel pen... uh oh.. don't like that but it was already very glued down - live and learn.
I hope you will join in this week... common we use die cuts and punches on our cards all the time any way - why not get in on the prize that is offered this week! Go and check it out and all the other DT cards at the Spoon Full of Sugar Blog :)
*********************************************
Now a drum roll for another Sneak Peek for Greeting Farm! And today it is "SHOWTIME!" How cute is this set???

There are lots of pieces to this Anya Set... but the main images are Circus Leader Anya, the elephant, the pop corn and the stars! I colored all the pieces with my Copics, I used a black glaze pen for Anya... so she would shine! I cut everything out including the sentiment "Your Turn to Shine" Then I set up the tent! I used a piece of Sassafrass Lass paper, that is all that is as the background including the scalloped bottom. I traced the scallops onto a piece of scrap red card stock for the top.
And then attached the top, with the stars stamped across it, to the card with pop dots, Anya was also attached with pop dots so she could stand out front, center ring ya know?
I doodled around everything with my white gel pen, then added gold stickles to the stars - this on really made me happy! It was so fun... again I love these Anya sets, they are so much like playing with paper dolls!
One more sneak peek tomorrow and then tomorrow night is the big BLOG HOP!!! Make sure to hop around today and see all the other great Club Anya DT sneaks... and then get ready to make your list of wants - this release has some really cute ones! LOL again ;0)
Have a great Tuesday... me I am sticking around the house today working on a few projects - FYI... Rosie is feeling much better today!

Wild West Anya... Sneak Peek!

A Sneak Peek.. of "Wild West Anya"!! I Love Sheriff Ian from Greeting Farm... and now there is a Western Cowgirl Anya!!! I just love her! Why is it I always color my western woman cards with pink and brown? I went back and looked at some.. all brands of stamps, but they are mostly all pink and brown... guess to me that is a country girl color combo. I mean common how can you resist a pink cowboy hat and pink boots!
Anya is colored with my Copics, and then doodled on the edges and inked for just a bit of shading.

For my card base I used Coredinations dark brown card stock that I sanded to give it that distressed worn look. I then used a pink pattern paper scrap that has a very light line brown pattern in it. The edge is punched with a Martha Stewart Valentine border punch. I don't know the maker.. a scrap from a long time ago, as is the brown stripe behind Anya. I was going to stamp some flourishes and then remembered this My Minds Eye Transparency, again it has been in my stash for years! It was just a bit to small to use as is, so I cut it diagonally. I kind of like that it isn't a full rectangle, and has the breaks in it. The sentiment from Hero Arts is stamped onto a K&Co. name card, and then I added three Prima flowers with Dew Drop centers.

Well Yee Haw.. I am really liking this card! I hope you liked it too - there are more sneak peeks on the other Club Anya DT blogs today... other images too wink wink hint hint... And tomorrow there will be another sneak peek day.. again on Wednesday!! OOHOOOH and on Wednesday there is a blog hop that evening... So this week there is lots of Greeting Farm - Club Anya fun!!

There is a LOT of excitement in store these next few days...hope you'll join us for the fun! And don't forget the other Dt's blogs....

Miss Anya -

Yea!!! I finally got to work with my new Greeting Farm "Miss Anya" collection! It has been so hard the past week or so seeing it sitting on my desk wanting to be inked up... Isn't she just too pretty for words? I colored with my Copics, then inked the edges with a light green ink. I tried to use my new pierce runner along the edges... hmmm don't think that worked so well here.
For my card I used a dusty pink card stock for the base, matted it with a scrap light sage green that I ran that paper piercer on. Both of these colors were pulled from the Papertrey ink pattern papers. Love how all of their stuff coordinates. I tore the pattern paper, and inked the edges. Ran a piece of satin ribbon across the middle. Matted Anya and used scraps to punch circles for the sentiment from Hero Arts. I doodled the edges with white gel pen and then added two vintage buttons.
It was a simple card - but I love her!
Just some FYI reminders... The Greeting Farm has new releases today!
Short today... MIL shopping day and we have a really long list today! Hope you have a great Wednesday!
