Will you forgive me?

I hope you are not all going to leave me... for the second time this week, I have no card!!! I have 1/2 a card on my desk - I just couldn't finish it last night. I pulled my back out late yesterday afternoon. Sitting at my desk was extremely painful. Yep - this just hasn't been my week - heck my month! It is a little better today, but I am moving slow.

So instead I will show you my Christmas present. My Donkey Cabinet!!! The other day I talked about getting it. You see Gato (the cat) has started climbing and snooping. I collect lots of things, many of which are very old and breakable. One collection is my donkeys - porcelain, wood, felt etc... old and new. Well she just found the shelves where they have been housed in my living room, so Hubby and I decided that it was time to find something with glass doors to hold the more valuable items. Now everything is just set in it right now, and actually not all my donkeys are in it yet. But with everything going on here I mainly just wanted to get things in it for safetly.. I'll foof it up later. (Is foof a word?)

Now some may be looking at it wondering about me... but I love the character, it is not actually old. But looks it - We have a country looking house with lots of antiques. So it fits me perfectly!

OH and one more thing!!!!!

I have gotten an award!! From the truely talented and amazing Camilla - I feel so proud to call her friend - her stuff really rocks!

The rules are to give it to five others, who shall give it to five others.. You shall link the one you got it from, and also the ones you give it to:) And let them know. And there is more... You have to write down five things you are addicted to.

Ok first to pass it on to five: (in no particular order)
1- Kimmie
2- Bev
3- Jacqui
4- Annie
5- Claudia

And now to 5 things I am addicted to: (in no particular order)

1- Stamping

2- Coke... my caffine of choice

3- My donkeys ( yes I am grouping all 29 in one here!!!)

4- Internet Blogging/Surfing

5- Buying more crafting supplies... love to get the latest!

Hopefully this afternoon I can sit at my desk and get a few things done - Hope your week is going better -

My First Sketch at Spoon Full of Sugar!

I am so excited, my first "real" sketch is out there... please be kind with me. I have never done a computer generated sketch before, and really was nervous, but excited about my first being one of the challenges at A Spoon Full of Sugar! But here it is and I hope you will have fun with it.

And since this was my first sketch I had to make a Donkey card right? This is from Alota Rubber Stamps Donkey set, I just love the both set one and two! I colored my little guy and his turtle friend with my Copic Markers and Spica Glitter Pens. The moon is all sparkles! And those sparkles needed complimentary sparkle papers, so I picked three patterns from the DCWV Baby Boy Nursery papers. I inked the edges of everything with a bright blue cats eye ink. Sewed down all the pieces, including the sparkle blue ribbon as the band. I wanted my flowers on the top right corner, Retro EK Success Punch, are also inked and then have glitter brads for the centers.

The sentiment, part of set 2, I adore! (Thanks Helene for adding my special request sentiment in this collection!)

I hope you enjoyed my Donkey Kisses card and my sketch. PLEASE have some fun with it and join in for the fabulous prize at a Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge, this week we have a Gorgeous prize of Teenage Lizzie Kindly donated by Katharina from Whiff of Joy why not pop over and take a look at the fab stamps that Katharina has on A whiff of joy.

I need to thank a bunch of people for a Blog Award.....
(if I missed someone, please let me know as my email has been acting really off the last few weeks)

First I have received this award from Crafting Diva Designs, Kirsten at Isis Imaginings, Camilla
and Annie

This blog invests and believes the PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships! These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers! Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award.
So for my eight that I pass this on too - it is a few more than eight... but I am going to pass this on to my fellow Spoon Full of Sugar DT... for being brave and making some wonderful cards with my first sketch!
And our guest DT this week:
http://kreative-stempelwelt.blogspot.com/
Whew... ok, now I am going to get some breakfast and sit and enjoy some blog surfing and catch up from yesterday. Hope you have a great Tuesday!

Embrace The Goddess Within - and Alota Halloween!

Before I get to the two cards I made for today - I have to say a HUGE Thank you to Katharina!!! I was gone all day yesterday and late last night I was heading for bed after a long day and decided to take just a few minutes check my email and see a few blogs to relax a bit. When I saw Katharina's blog... no relaxing! I was screaming for Hubby to hurry and see! Katharina chose me as her featured YaoB Sunday (Your artwork on my Blog)creation for this week! How exciting is that! Thank you from the bottom of my heart Katharina! You have made my day, week, and month!

I do have two cards for today. How about fun and just for laughs first? I didn't get but a small handful of stamps at the Expo this past weekend. This is two of them from Rubbernecker. I have quite a few of their "character" line. I find them... well hysterical! This was a new one to me and I had to have them! Embrace the Goddess Within - is just a perfect sentiment for this beautiful little lady! LOL! I have to tell you Hubby thought it was an Alien, then once I colored it in, he said "Well it still looks like an Alien... but it also looks just like..... " I won't finish that here just in case. ;0)
Quickly, My little lady is colored with Copics, Sakura Glaze Pens and Spica Glitter Pens, really looks awesome! Love her glitter purple shoes! I used a light purple card stock for the base, then found some scrap dark purple card stock that I placed under a piece of patterned vellum. Thought that had a different but pretty look. The pattern paper is from Heidi Grace and has a beautiful shimmer to it. I matted everything and sewed together (this helps with attaching vellum he he) I wrapped a satin ribbon around the pattern piece and then used three of my new bling flowers across the ribbon. Ok, how funny is it!!!
Now for some serious work.. ha! I just got the new Alota Rubberstamps Halloween Witches Brew collection! There are so many fun images with this collection. I picked a few to fit the sketch of this weeks Friday Sketchers and colored them with Copic Markers, Sakura Glaze Pens and Spica Glitter Pens. My circle is Heidi Grace Halloween Shimmer paper, love it very fun, I cut it with my Fiskars Circle Cutter and placed it on black card stock. I was a little frazzled about what to use for the band across the middle, and then remembered this fun Halloween ribbon that I purchased last year on clearance. Dug for a while and found it! I ran three pieces across to make it wide enough, love how the "boo" ribbon matches her dress. I should say I planned it, but nope pure luck! I turned the sketch to place the pumpkin and cat at the bottom corner. Now you can't see it in the photo but on the black card stock I used a spider stamp that is part of the set and VersaMark water mark stamp, looks kind of neat in person, just hard to see in a photograph. Then I stitched the edges of the circle and around the edge with the orange Soufle pen. The image is inked on the edge with purple and stitched with purple.
Because a black card stock would be hard to do anything on the inside I placed a matted white card stock inside, stamped with the Alota Rubberstamps Happy Halloween, doodle the edge and then stamped with the spider stamp from the set. And this card is perfect timing for this weeks Papertake Weekly Challenge which this week is Halloween! YEA!
I have a few minutes so I am going to try and hit a few blogs, then I have to run... it is MIL shopping day. I hadn't planned for that today but my MIL has a few things she has to do today, so we are going to get everything she needs for the week done today. Hope you have a great Monday planned, make sure to have some time to get inky -

I've been tagged!

I have been so bad the past couple of months with passing on awards, they truly do touch me and make me feel so special to receive them, I just can't seem to get my life in order to get them posted and pass them on, it is so hard to narrow down and pick people to pass them to. Well I had some quiet time today and thought this was a good time to pass on this TAG -

.
I've been tagged by: HEIDI, DONALDA and TA -
.
The rules are:1. Link your tagger and list the rules on the blog
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random some weird.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of the post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.
4. Let them know they have been tagged by leaving them a comment on their blog.
.
So here it is 7 facts about me:
.
1-I am addicted to Coca-Cola... love it and shouldn't drink it, but it is my caffeine and sugar of choice.
2- I LOVE Yankee Baseball! Watch nearly every game, I am a Texan all the way thru but do love my Yankee Baseball --- And yes Derek Jeter is my favorite ;0)
3-I collect antiques of all kinds - yellow ware, glass, and kitchen tin are my favorites
4-I LOVE to buy new gadgets... yep have to have the latest and the newest toys and many of them end up in drawers and forgotten.
5-I love to shop... sad thing is that as a "big" girl I hate to buy things in my size... sigh Lord help my Hubby when I do fit in the regular girls section.
6-I have one sister. No other siblings. My sister was a pain my entire life, 6 years difference, nothing in common. Now she is probably my best friend and I talk to her daily, can't imagine life without her... sniff sniff .. love ya Mel!
7-I drive a pick up truck. And have for so long that now when I ride in cars it kind of freaks me out because I am too close to the road... I like being up in my truck!
.
Thats was me.
.
Now I want to read about some wonderful girls :

So I pass on this TAG to:
JayJay
Diane
Heather
Lim
Carole
Chris
Shary

Hard to narrow down... I love you all and would like to know more about you... so add it yourself and play along if you would like -

Everyone feels pretty in a new pink dress!

Is she just beautiful or what? This is Alota Rubber Stamps - "Shopper Frog". My kind of frog! I can only imagine what she has purchased in all of those bags!

I colored her with my Copics and then white gel pen. And just knew with the "green" tone to her skin that pink was the best color for her dress. LOL!

For the Card I used this weeks Papertake Weekly Challenge Sketch, and it is another of Katharina's great sketches! These are Memory Box papers, love how they all coordinate within a package and the heavy weight of the papers.

I used my sewing machine with both zig zag and straight stitches in pink thread. The mat for the image and the base of the card is Bazzil pink. I went through every ribbon I had and didn't have anything I liked, then found two that fit perfect together, so I stacked them and love how well it matched. Three Prima flower with button centers were added to the bottom corner.

The sentiment is also from Alota Rubber Stamps and is actually part of the new Ladybug set. But seemed to be just what our frog was saying.

I also want to share an award I have received from both Fran and Annie... Sometimes I miss these and don't get the time to post and forward on to others, but loved the theme of this one.

The rules of this award are:
1. Only 5 people allowed.
2. 4 have to be dedicated followers of your blog
3. one has to be someone new or recently new to your blog and live in another part of the world.
4. you must link back to whoever gave you the award.
Quite simple really it is a way of saying thank you to those who take time out for wonderful comments to boost your day.
Here are my Five:
1- Sue - she has been with me since I started my blog and really has been an inspiration and has become a friend. Plus her stuff is just so darn cute!
2- Ila - I think I first started stalking her blog, I just adore her talent! Her coloring is amazing, but she has since become a friend and always makes time to post comments for my stuff and my little donkeys!
3- Claudia - This lady has been my rock... she has been such a sweet friend and not only with her comments on my blog, but our near daily emails back and forth. I love ya Claudia!
4- Patti - "Tennessee" is one of my Fiskateer Buddies and although she is more of a scrapbooker than a card maker she stops by daily to leave me the sweetest comments. She does some great pages and I think with a little shove will become addicted to ATC's and cards! HUGS girlie!
5- Karin - is one of my last Blog Candy winners and she is just so sweet! She leaves the sweetest comments and always ends them with XOXO Thanks!
Well I could have gone on and one, there are so many that leave wonderful kind comments regularly for me. I love each of you!
Off to get the day going... Hope you find some time to craft today!

Thanks for Your "Support"!

Lovin this new stamp, well it is a new stamp to me, I just got it! I made an order of Penny Black stamps so I can play with the everyone at the Penny Black Challenge Blog. A fun site with lots of talent with Penny Black!

This weeks challenge is to use Pink, Brown and Green well that was a good one for me, I colored in my cat with my Copics and then went thru my stash of paper and found these Chatterbox papers. I have no clue how long I have had them, but they seemed to work well together. I cut the pieces and sewed everything down with a blanket stitch. I then matted the image on the backside of one of the pattern papers sewed it down, and inked the edges. The sentiment is computer printed and .... well it just fit! It came into my head and I knew it was perfect for this image and the card I need to send out this week to a very special friend. I matted it and inked the edges. I stacked two prima flowers and used a Making Memories button brad for the center. Now common it makes you giggle don't it!

How exciting.. I was awarded an award this weekend by THREE of my favorite people! Sue, Annie and Fran all gave me this award!
