Thanks a Ton!

How cute is this "little guy". I wanted to play with my Koh-I-Noor Pencils again, and this cute High Hopes image was sent to me by my buddy Claudia from Paper Pressings.
I colored him or I guess with the pink cheeks it is a her, with my new pencils and mineral spirits. Then high lighted with white gel pen. I then cut out with my Nestibilities Circle. I then realized that I had not had a chance to do this weeks Papertake Weekly Challenge and this was perfect to use.
So I picked out all card stock for this challenge so I could then use something else new... I just got some of those FABULOUS Cuttlebug Border Embossing Folders, LOVE them!
I chose all the same colors that were in the hippo image, embossed the long band and then the two squares with the swiss dots. I used the Coordination's card stock for these pieces so I could then sand and show the lighter color for the embossed areas. I stacked things together following the sketch, stitched the edges down and then found the sentiment also from High Hopes "Thanks a Ton!" came together really fast.
Well gotta run- it's MIL day.. and man I hate doing that on Fridays... to many people in the malls! But hubby was off the rest of the week so we couldn't do our normal errands then. Hope you all have a great Friday!
HUGS and-
