I do have a card for Santa though! Aren't these stamps adorable! I love the sentiment too. These are just three out of a set of 16 stamps from Alota Rubber Stamps called "Merry Christmas". What a great deal! I actually had a hard time deciding which ones I wanted to use on this card, but then put these together. I just crack up every time I see the boys hair.
I wanted this to have that old fashioned Christmas feel of my childhood... I colored my images with my copics and then stamped the sentiment, I colored the back ground of all of them with the Raw Silk color for a light brown old look. I think it worked. I then cut out the images and then inked the edges of everything with dark brown ink.
Green card stock is used for the base with red pattern paper from K&Company and the crackled green pattern paper from Paper Studio. Love that ribbon, it is a satin checked ribbon in a cream red color, perfect for these papers. I gel pen stitched the edges of everything.
Now that I have finished this card... it is mostly all green and red and that is this weeks challenge at Cute Card Thursday so I think it will work well for them.
Before I close up today's post I wanted to shout out and make sure you know about a new site I found. Have you seen Paper Craft Planet? Wow I found this the other day and really have gotten lost there! I am sure you will find some faces you recognize and lots of "Groups" that you will want to join! Two of my favorite are the Stampavie and Alota Rubber stamps Groups! My list of the ones I have joined also include Whiff of Joy and House Mouse... ok I have a lot longer list than that (wink wink). But check it out looks like it is gonna be the place to hang when you are done reading your daily blogs!
Ok off to read my blog list and then visit the "planet"!
