Today there is a great sketch by Trina at A Spoon Full of Sugar. I love that it is a different shape. I flipped it on its side for my card.
I was excited to use another Rachelle Anne Miller image. This is Lily Magic Fairy, isn't she pretty. Love that ladybug! I colored with my Copics, and then high lighted with White Gel pen. Of course her wings are then stickled, they had to have some bling.
For my card I used an American Crafts card base. The pattern paper is DCWV, it has pretty sparkles on it, darn I don't think you can see that in the photo. I matted with a light purple and inked the edges of everything. My dots to follow the sketch are Doodlebug brads, they have sparkle too. For the bands on both sides, I stacked two ribbons, first a light purple satin, then a polk-a-dot green. For the sentiment I used a ticket stamp from Autumn Leaves. I have had this set for over a month and just found them in a stack while looking for something else... that is when you have too much stuff! But found them, and now you will see more of them. Stamped in purple on a scrap of the purple card stock then used Fiskar's scissors for the torn edges, inked the edges as well.
I think it is a great sketch, I hope you can give it a go, take a minute to take a look at Spoon Full of Sugar, the other DT cards are really great again this week! Wow! And don't forget their is a prize up for grabs!
Sorry in a hurry today, gotta take my MIL in to town for a Doctor's appointment. I hope to have some time to check in with everyone later!
