A Spoon full of Sugar - and Stampavie Gillian Roberts!

Tuesday... A Spoon Full of Sugar time and today's challenge is a sketch by well... ME. So I do hope you head over to and play. It is also a time for me to use and show off another new image from Stampavie and Gillian Roberts. This is Bear and Robin ... cute or what. I just love all of these new images.

I colored with my Copics - A white card stock base, and then all of the pattern papers are Basic Grey Figgy Pudding. I sewed down everything down. The sentiment is from Aud Designs.

My arrow is cut out with my Making Memories Slice.. had to do it three times LOL... kept cutting it backwards... ha was sleepy working on this one, but I finally got it right. I added pearls from Martha Stewart. Then for my flowers at the bottom, the light blue ones are mulberry roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. Ok so they are large so this is a box card.. but man I love them. I backed them with Prima flowers that I sprayed with my air compressor and copics.

I hope you like my card - and I really do hope that you will visit A Spoon Full of Sugar and play with my sketch! Our wonderful sponsor this week is Bunny Zoe's Crafts. This weeks lucky winner will win a the new Basic Grey 6" x 6" paper pad Eskimo Kisses and a set of 6 Christmas tree charms.

Thanks so much for sticking with me... HUGS and-

Alota Pumpkin Anyone?

I am so ready for summer to be over and fall to roll in - and these Alota Hauling Pumpkin Bugs are getting ready for fall!

I have colored with my Copics -and doodled the edge. Then I dug all through my pattern papers. I just knew I had the PERFECT pattern paper for this image... and I FOUND IT! You know trying to find one sheet of paper in the million pieces of paper I have close to winning the lottery.

Now am I right or what... perfect pattern paper huh? It is from BoBunny, and that wonderful dot paper is the back side of the pumpkin pattern! Love when I don't have to worry about finding matching papers.
I also added a picket fence border from a Martha Stewart punch. Seemed that a really good pumpkin patch would have a good fence around it. The ribbon is from American Crafts - and the sentiment is from Alota Rubber Stamps as well... "Happy Fall" a fun sentiment.. Then I used two pumpkin buttons to finish it off.

It felt good to craft and just cuz... you know what I mean? And Alota Bugs always make me smile, don't they you? Helene has all kinds of new images this month - and the next release is coming really soon... so pop over to the site (www.alotarubberstamps.com) and see them for a smile!

UPDATE: I knew you would want an update on Macey and Felicia. Macey is doing much better, she is back to eating and seems to be feeling better. Felicia is still a worry, very slightly better, she is lethargic and not eating much - I keep hoping that the next few days she will start to show more improvement.

Hope you all in the US have a wonderful Labor Day Holiday - And a Happy Monday to everyone...

Donkey Day with lots of Baby photos!

Hi.. Well today is not a great day for taking Donkey Day photos... Macey and Felicia are still sick, a little bit better but not well enough for photos. And well.... IT RAINED LAST NIGHT!!! Ok, so it was only 1/4 of an inch... BUT IT RAINED!!! and there is more in the forecast today.. I so hope we get more.

I am so glad that I went out earlier in the week and took photos on evening.. everyone was feeling well and happy.. and well I got TONS of great donkey day photos.. and YES Libbie photos!

First an update from the Doc yesterday.. he thinks that we caught Macey in time and she should make it through this... Felicia as well.. as long as she keeps eating to keep her strength up she should be bouncing around in a few days... I pray that both are true. It was the Hay that made them sick. We have removed that hay completely and are working at getting it returned to the "hay man" and then we will start working on getting new...

But how about some happy photos?

First I thought you might like to see what Hubby and I do every 3 hours... He is such a big boy and usually finishes every last drop out of his little silver bucket!

When done... He usually shows off his "GOT MILK?" smile.... is he cute or what?

And as they say "Milk does a Body Good!" He looks wonderful has filled out and loves to run and play.
It is a good thing that he is all black and his brother has the cream nose and ears... other wise it would get tough to know who was who... "My Bookend Brothers".....

Carlos is doing great as well. We call him "trouble" He loves to stir things up - whether that be us feeding Sergio, The Lady donkeys trying to eat.. or just running and kicking up dirt. He is so funny he doesn't rub up against you when you come into the pen... he literally leans and the lays over against you.. he either ends up on his side.. or you do yours! :0)

Here is my beautiful little girl.. Felicia - this was a couple of days before she got sick. She is just so small, especially when next to her brothers... and she is so sweet and gentle compared to them as well. The perfect little girl... now for her to get back to this happy, playful, sweet look - right now she is laying under the tree with her head hanging... in fact when done here.. I am going to talk to her and move her around a bit.
LIBBIE PHOTOS!!!

Now I have really had a very hard time taking Libbie photos the past month or so. But the day I was out taking the donkey photos I think she wanted her time as well. I told her to sit and look pretty for the camera..... and well I got over 25 really wonderful Libbie photos! Here are three of my favorites -

A serious pose.... very rare for this little girl.

OOPS... a bird caught her attention -

Close up anyone? I really just need to start facing her the other way - as that sun really does make her squint...you can't see her ice blue eyes! Just love her ears have flopped evenly... to adorable.

Well hope you enjoyed Donkey/Libbie Day - maybe by next week photos I can get all three babies playing together!! Healthy and Happy. And yes.. I know I have lots of other donkeys to show off too :0)

Just Magnolias - wonderful sketch!

hello all.. sorry I am so late again this morning - I'll explain about that at the end of my post.

Today I Just Magnolia's day! And it is a wonderful sketch by DT member
Mina, you can rotate the sketch and re size the elements, as long as you follow the original sketch so your entry qualifies for the prize draw. And a great prize again this week! This week our sponsor is Simon Says Stamp who have kindly offered a $25 voucher to spend in their store!!

For my card I was very excited that my Magnolia Fall Stamp Club stamps arrived this week, and I actually got a chance to play with them! Cute images or what? These are all part of the kit except the strawberry.. that is from I believe last years summer kit.

I colored everything with my Copics and cut out. Following the sketch I used the fruit as my circles - All of the pattern papers are from DCWV Nanna's Kitchen - love that stack, which the patterns with the more kitchen things would have worked better with this card but they were too large of patterns. OH well I loved these together. I used a Fiskars Border punch on both sides of one of the glitter patterns to create the bands and sewed everything together with straight stitches.

I love how it turned out... had a hard time coming up with a sentiment to fit on the rolling pen.. so I just hand wrote Hello...

Sorry I have been "short" lately... even my sister commented that I have not been as chatty and upbeat as normal on here.. I think loosing Cheyenne effected me more than I knew - then the lack of sleep and trying to keep up with the rest of life, work, Hubby home working on my craft room and again all of those 2-3 hour feedings. It was really getting to me - I had started to feel a bit better the past couple of days and was getting back into a grove again.. then yesterday hit -

I have another Momma donkey and baby sick.... Macey and Felicia - Same symptoms as Cheyenne and Sergio... Doc is coming out this morning, I just pray we have caught it in time, as it was too late for Cheyenne. We now think it was the hay that made them sick. LONG story but due to no rain we had to purchase hay from a long way away and have it trucked in - more than 1/2 of it is bad... real bad - Hubby is going to deal with the man that sold it to us tonight. It really isn't his fault he didn't grow it... but he did sell it to us - so I hope he makes things ok.. not that he can bring back Cheyenne. I'll let you know how things go -

I just hope you all understand why I haven't been commenting and popping around to all the blogs the past couple of weeks - At some point things have to get better - and saving Macey and Felicia will be a great start for me. Thanks for understanding...

Surprize from Helz Cuppleditch -

These new images from Stampavie are just so fun. And it was a really good thing I had a few colored up last weekend as this week by the end of the day I am just out cold. I know can you believe it... no energy to craft! I look so forward to next week.. that is when Sergio can go 4 whole hours during the night for feedings!! WHOO HOO ... that means Hubby will take the late shift. I do the middle of the night and then the next feeding will be when Hubby gets up in the morning!

Ok.. now to my card -

This is another new image from the Helz Cuppleditch collection from Stampavie. Cute again huh? Love this dog...
I colored with my Copics, and doodled the edge. For the pattern papers, I pulled out my little paper pad from Little Yellow Bicycle, the Baby Safari collection. Really cute. I found three patterns and then put them down and used my white gel pen to stitch the edges. I used a green and pink ribbon around the bottom of the pattern paper I used for the mat, really neat ribbon you see more green from one direction, and more pink from the other... simple things for simple minds... I entertain myself easily these days :0)
I then added two mulberry flowers, and different shades of Martha Stewart frond leaf punches. The sentiment is from Hero Arts.. I punched it out with a Fiskars Squeeze punch. It was white - and just was too white, so I colored it with my Copic marker.

Well I hope today to get my house a little bit cleaner... do some laundry and all that hinges on how much Hubby needs me to help with the craft room addition. :0)

Hope you have a wonderful day..

Wanna see Cute???

Told you!!! How cute are these two?? This is a new Stampavie image from Gillian Roberts and they are coming!!!! This is "Mistletoe and Mice" and I am just in love with these two.... I have colored with my Copics. I cut them with my Nesties.
The papers are cute as well, they are from Fiskars, Heidi Grace, they are so happy and fun. I created a border with part of one of the patterns and the Martha Steward Loop border punch. I sewed down the back ground paper onto red card stock. And my sentiment is from Aud Designs. I have had them forever! And just found them the other day.... love them.

Fast card - pretty simple - but I just love it! Well time to feed Sergio... my life :0) He is doing SO well and really now I worry that he is growing to much too fast! LOL

A Distressing Spoon Full of Sugar!

Today is A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge and the challenge is to distress! And I just got my Stampavie Sarah Kay Noels stamps - so perfect timing!

This image is Noel Charity - isn't she wonderful. I just love all of these new images.

For my card - I started with a dark green card stock, then layered with a piece of Core'dinations Vintage card stock that I sanded. On that I put a piece of red card stock that I sanded, then I found this wonderful piece of Victorian Christmas paper, I forgot by who.. and I did it again, I stuck down.... I then sewed them all down with Metallic thread.

The ribbon was also in my scraps, seemed perfect with the paper and image. And I finally got to use some of the Christmas Primas! They are so pretty and have glitter on them. Three felt brads in the corner, and then I dug through my stamps and found the Limited Edition Christmas circles for the sentiment.

I hope you get to see all the DT cards at A Spoon Full of Sugar - wonderful cards as they always do!!! And again a great prize to win if you join in...

Well Hubby is needing me... and since it is my craft room he is working on, I try and drop and run when he does :0)

Hope you have wonderful Tuesday!
