YEA Donkey Day Photos and a Surprise!

I really don't know what the problem has been this morning - I could not add any photos to my blog! And what is Donkey Day without photographs? But when I logged out of Microsoft Internet and into Firefox... it now will work. So glad I thought of the Firefox as a back up!

Now onto Donkey Day ---

I went out this morning and snapped a few photos ---

When I got out to one of the pens they were all way across from me, JoJo and Josie seem to be really liking it out in the pen with some of the other lady donkeys and a few of the babies. Josie still isn't sure about Freddie and Pavo when they get to playing hard, but she is very curious.

Jazz came over for some attention. She is not accepting that her baby Gloria has to be weaned... she calls for her all day and night - she is getting a little better. Poor thing - but she will have a new little one this summer to show her attention too.

Only two donkey day photos today as I also want to share my surprise!

Today we will have a new addition to our family!! Last week we visited a breeder and purchased a new baby! A Toy Australian Shepherd... and tiny little dog! We have talked about this for a long time. Hubby has wanted a second dog for over a year now. I kept putting him off. Well when we found out Bonnie was sick we knew that at some point we were going to have to discuss a new dog. I don't think I or Hubby could go a day without a dog in our home. When we get to the day where Bonnie is no longer with us it is going to kill me. She is my child, my baby. The meds that the Doc has her on for her Cancer are doing wonders. Other than the knots around her throat, you would never know she was sick. In fact she has gained 7 lbs. since the first of December. She runs, chases the cat all over the house, barks at birds, plays Frisbee and runs the fences with the donkeys. So we are hoping we have months and months of Bonnie feeling good. The moment I think she has an ounce of pain or suffering - that will be it, my baby will not suffer because I don't want to be without her. Alright well Hubby found a lady that breeds these Toy Australian Shepherds, they look and act just like big herding dogs - just tiny. Full grown should be 10-12lbs. and only 9-10 inches tall at the shoulders. Hubby has really been wanting one of these smaller dogs - and things just happened. We will meet with the breeder today and pick up our new "daughter" - she is just adorable!! A Blue Sorrel with bright blue eyes! Her mom has gorgeous blue eyes and at 7 weeks she still has the same, so we think they may stay. Would you like to see a photo of her? One of these is from the breeder, and one is the one I took the day we went to look at her... how cute is she? You will be seeing lots more photos of her as she grows up! I think Bonnie is going to love her - she loves puppies, now Gato... that may be interesting. Gato loves Bonnie, they get along great - play all the time, but Gato will be a bit bigger for a while, so I am going to have to keep a close eye on them.

Sorry

I just don't know what is wrong this morning... but blogger won't let me post any photos - I'll be back to post donkey day photos and the surprise when I can figure it all out...

To My Sweet Friend ~

I am just loving making Valentines!
And Helene at Alota Rubber Stamps has come out with sooooooo many adorable images for me to play with! All of the image on this card, the girl, the kitty and the sentiment are all part of the new Valentine Cuties set, and there are so many others with the set, I had a hard time choosing which ones to use. LOL!

I colored with my Copics and white gel pen for high lighting. The base of the card is a hot pink card stock, then all the pattern papers are from K&Company's Valentine stack, I inked the edges of each of them. The school paper lined card that I used to stamp my sentiment on is from 7 gypsies, I bought the cutest box of all different cards at the LSS Garage Sale last weekend. I punched the bottom of one of the pattern papers with the Martha Stewart large Valentine Heart Border Punch, and then ran a ribbon across the entire card. Those yummy flowers shimmer (wish you could see that!) They are the Michael's bridal flowers, I added little gems to the centers and Martha's frond leaf punches.

I just love making Valentines! Hope you like this one and will visit Alota Rubber Stamps and see all the wonderful new images, they are soooo pretty and cute!

And I again have to thank each of you for making my blog candy so much fun! It was so fun to visit all the new blogs! And all of my favorites too... Thanks again -

Thanks so much and good luck!

A Whiff of Joy with my new favorite WOJ image!

I just can't tell you how happy it made me making this card! Katharina you are so sweet to have named this little one "Michelle Celebrating Donkey". I just love it! I always do love all her images, but this one is dear to my heart!
Ok, so she is colored with my Copics and then although you can't see it, the balloons and the bow have Glazed Dimensions and shine and sparkle. I then cut it with my Nestibilities with my new Label die, and then cut a mat out of the purple Coordination's card stock, the same that is used as the base. I love this paper, I sanded it to give a distressed look.

I also had to use my new Martha Stewart Valentine Border Punch... Oh how I love hearts... and now a really adorable border punch with them.. will be used on lots of cards! I cut a piece of green coordination's cardstock and sanded it too. The pattern paper is a Heidi Grace paper, love the colors. I found this really large purple flower... to perfect! I wish my leaves had shown a bit more, I cut these with the new Making Memories Slice, and they have some really cute details, but oops the flower was so big it hid most all of it. The center of the flower is a large green button, that I filled the center with purple stickles. and to finish it all off I found a piece of tiny polk a dot ribbon.
Now all of this is for this weeks Whiff of Joy Challenge... which the theme this week is a color theme. PURPLE and GREEN! Great challenge huh! Hope you join in too cuz these ladies rock!
Hubby is off again today - we are finally working on my utility room again! Hopefully I will have a nice pretty new laundry area by the end of the week! The dryer door will actually open all the way!! So better get busy! Hope you have a great day... oh and I will be back later tonight to announce the winner of the BLOG CANDY!

Loads of Love...

There are some new stamps at Alota Rubber Stamps that I just am crazy about... they have so many possibilities! The set is the Wagon Wheelbarrow collection... and it is just that an adorable wagon and a gorgeous wheelbarrow with lots of fun things to pile into them! Also included is some fun sentiments.
These can be used on their own, but think of all the stamps we can put with these! Well you know me... first off I just had to have a Donkey pulling the wagon! This is one of the donkeys from Alota Rubber Stamps collection "Michelle's Sweet Little Donkeys" (Just love that name!!!) I stamped the wagon, then on top of that the hearts, then the donkey. I colored everything with my Copics and then cut everything out. I had to cut the handle to the wagon and move it to the right angle, but love how it looks! I cut an oval with my Nestibilites and placed them on it. The large heart is cut with my Making Memories Slice, it is meant to be a scalloped heart frame... I took the heart that it cut from the center, inked the edges and stamped the "Loads of Love" sentiment on it, then stitched with my red Copic Multi-liner. Love how it looks like a big pillow. The paper is from K&Company's valentine collection, I added the stickles on the hearts to give the card just a bit of sparkle. I sewed the edge with a blanket stitch, and added the simple lace ribbon. A simple card filled with Loads of Love.
Make sure to check out the new set and all the new images Helene has added this month!! (HERE) There are some new backgrounds, and new bugs too! And while visiting there, check out the sale she is having!! But hurry there are some fabulous images there and the sale only last until January 18th!

Brrrr.... it sure was cold here this morning! 25 degrees! That is cold for this Texas girl! I am going to bundle up and go out and check on the babies and make sure they all have some extra breakfast today!
Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday, time to get inky!
