Now onto Donkey Day ---

I went out this morning and snapped a few photos ---
When I got out to one of the pens they were all way across from me, JoJo and Josie seem to be really liking it out in the pen with some of the other lady donkeys and a few of the babies. Josie still isn't sure about Freddie and Pavo when they get to playing hard, but she is very curious.

Jazz came over for some attention. She is not accepting that her baby Gloria has to be weaned... she calls for her all day and night - she is getting a little better. Poor thing - but she will have a new little one this summer to show her attention too.
Only two donkey day photos today as I also want to share my surprise!
Today we will have a new addition to our family!! Last week we visited a breeder and purchased a new baby! A Toy Australian Shepherd... and tiny little dog! We have talked about this for a long time. Hubby has wanted a second dog for over a year now. I kept putting him off. Well when we found out Bonnie was sick we knew that at some point we were going to have to discuss a new dog. I don't think I or Hubby could go a day without a dog in our home. When we get to the day where Bonnie is no longer with us it is going to kill me. She is my child, my baby. The meds that the Doc has her on for her Cancer are doing wonders. Other than the knots around her throat, you would never know she was sick. In fact she has gained 7 lbs. since the first of December. She runs, chases the cat all over the house, barks at birds, plays Frisbee and runs the fences with the donkeys. So we are hoping we have months and months of Bonnie feeling good. The moment I think she has an ounce of pain or suffering - that will be it, my baby will not suffer because I don't want to be without her. Alright well Hubby found a lady that breeds these Toy Australian Shepherds, they look and act just like big herding dogs - just tiny. Full grown should be 10-12lbs. and only 9-10 inches tall at the shoulders. Hubby has really been wanting one of these smaller dogs - and things just happened. We will meet with the breeder today and pick up our new "daughter" - she is just adorable!! A Blue Sorrel with bright blue eyes! Her mom has gorgeous blue eyes and at 7 weeks she still has the same, so we think they may stay. Would you like to see a photo of her? One of these is from the breeder, and one is the one I took the day we went to
