YNS - December BLOG HOP

Howdy -

Today is the YNS (Your Next Stamp) December Blog Hop and I was asked to play this month with the DT. There are lots of great new images in this release. And when I saw this set I saw a little gift!

This set is called Java Geek (CYNS308) - Too much fun there are SO many stamps included in this set!

I created a little K-Cup Gift. Perfect timing for the holidays to make up some of these for office friends. I stamped out three of the images. (there are over 12 images included!) I stamped up three of them and then inked the edges and colored up with a couple of copics. I found a piece of Farm House paper in my scraps that just felt right for a coffee project. I chose dark brown card stock and kraft card stock and sewed down all the layers.

The GIFT is that it hold three K-cups! I remember seeing one of these a long while ago and just went on my own and created holder. A 12 x 6 /34 inch card stock. Scored at 4 1/2 and 6 1/2. Then the holder is a piece cut 6 3/4 x 5 1/4 inches I scored it to attach to the back of the folded piece and the bottom... after I used my nesties to cut out three holes just large enough to hold the k-cups.

It came together pretty well. Even with my lack of directions and "winging" it. Now you really need to see all the cute stamps that come with this set and all the other fun items in this new release. So click HERE to see everything!

Now you need to see the the rest of the hop. And just FYI... there is a $25.00 YNS Gift Certificate up for grabs for the comments! And the folks at YNS is also offering up a 20% discount!!

High Hopes Stamps - Under the Mistletoe

Howdy -
High Hopes Stamps today and this card is just simply an adorable image. Perfect for that new couple, or couple with an anniversary.

"Under the Mistletoe"

Such a fun image, I colored with my Copics (colors below) I then cut out with an oval nestie and used a Copic marker to create a faux mat for the image. My papers are from Fancy Pants Christmas Magic collection, that I matched up with Coordinations card stock that was sanded and inked to match the papers. All the layers are sewn down with zig zag and straight stitches, and then a ribbon with a large bow to finish it off.

Inside more of the same papers.

And then the Copic colors used -

Hope you enjoyed this one.

YNS - Guest Sneak Peek

Howdy -

Today is when my playing with YNS (Your Next Stamp)  really starts!  Today is the sneak peek for the new release blog hop.

I got to have some fun with "Blast Off" - your sneak of one of the fun new images....

Now I had to go purple and green with these little aliens. The pattern paper is from Graphic 45's Christmas collection. Not the normal for space, but that starry sky is perfect for these guys. I added bright lime green card stock with a dark purple base for an easel card. I sewed things together with a zig zag stitch. The sentiments come with the set!

And I am freaking out over those dots!! They are "Gum Drops" and YNS has SOOO Many colors available. Many of them have glitter to them!

Now back to my card. I created little zig zag springs for the rocket and space ship. They bounce around and look so fun!

They have that 3-D look don't they?

Here are the Copic colors used -

Fun different card for me but I really enjoyed this one! Now do make sure to visit the YNS blog and see all the DT's sneak peeks... then make sure to pop back tomorrow for the Blog Hop!

Whimsy Stamps - Reindeer Magic

Howdy -

A little Reindeer Magic for today - This little Christmas Reindeer just gave me a smile while coloring him.

Love that big red nose on "Rudolph" flying through the night air. I colored with my Copics and man coloring those dark back grounds are tough! (colors below) I added some stickles to the image for his nose, bells and stars.

My papers are from BoBunny's Blitzen collection. I sewed all they layers down onto dark brown card stock. I added some red buttons. The sentiment is a favorite of mine. Whimsy's Holiday Sentimentables Collection.

This card reminded me of Childhood Christmas for some reason. Maybe it is that great feeling of "Knowing" that Reindeer fly!

Hope you have a wonderfully blessed week, see you tomorrow!  -

Animal Crackers - Sunny Nap for two?

Howdy -

Went out yesterday afternoon to snap my photographs and found Belle and Sweet Pea taking a little nap in the glorious sunshine. Now the first thing you may notice is that this Mother/Daughter when looking at some angles are carbon copies of one another! LOL

Now Sweet Pea is redder than her Mom, and has white on her face but from this angle is is a who is who look! Sweet Pea is suppose to have a baby or two in that oven... her first. Hope so! :0)

Hubby walked past the bathroom the other day and found Gato just sitting on the edge of the tub.

What was she thinking? She is a skinny cat now... but when she was sitting here she really looks well fed doesn't she?

Hubby sent me one other photo this week. He made a new friend while working outside.

He LOVES to stop and admire any and all little frogs. He stopped to talk to this one, and he decided he liked Hubby and hopped right up to have a little chat. Love those toes.

Jackie was trying so hard to get my attention while I was out. Now I would love to tell you that it was just because she loved me and wanted me to pay her lots of attention.

Nope it was Hubby... he had a large paper sack in his hands and she thought it was time for some feed.... my kids are always looking for an extra bit of goodies!

Now found the boys being boys.

They are always trying to butt heads and prove who is the best and strongest "Man"... even better when a girl is watching!

Took a photo of Felipe... LOVE those whiskers in the sun!

Just a few showing there. You might also notice that he is a little poofed up with his fur. Been chilly here at night so all the animals have the fur thick to keep them toasty warm.

Just as I was heading in Moxie was walking with me, tail wagging and her normal happy self. Then suddenly she ran ahead and then froze.

We stood still frozen looking in that direction for minutes. I looked and looked and tried to listen for some sort of noise. I saw nothing... I heard nothing. Not sure what she heard but just as fast as she froze to attention she was back to bouncing around tail wagging and her happy go lucky self. Always staying on guard despite looking like a bouncing ball I guess. Love this girl!

Well hope you like this weeks photographs. I need someone to have some babies for a little excitement!

Have a wonderfully blessed weekend! And hug a furry friend!

Whimsy Stamps - Snail & Butterfly Toadstool

Howdy -

The sun has been shining and it has been really beautiful outside the last few days, little chilly but beautiful. And this made me want to find a little nature to color! Whimsy Stamps "Snail and Butterfly Toadstool" is just perfect!  illustrated by Krista Heij-Barber.

Normally I would have done this is pastel or really springy colors, but this time I decided to go a little country fall with the colors. All the papers are from BoBunny's Juliet collection. Love the richness of these papers. And when I saw those polka dots... well had to be! I used a Kraft card stock for the base and then colored up the image with my Copics (colors below). I sewed all the papers down with straight and zig zag stitches after inking all the edges with Ranger's Distress Ink.

For some added outdoor embellishment I punched out a Martha Stewart Fence and grass border for the bottom. A very old mulberry flower and then the sentient "Just A Note" from the Simply Stitched Circles Sentiment Collection. Now you must see all the great sentiments with this set and if you hurry... it is on sale right now!!

Inside more of the same papers -

Hope you enjoyed my little nature card today - Make sure to visit the Whimsy Stamps Store and see all the newest items for sale! HERE

I think I will go outside and enjoy some sunshine and pet on a few of my "kids"....

High Hopes Stamps - Snowman Snowball

Howdy -

This image from High Hopes Stamps just makes me giggle. Snowman Snowball is just too cute!

Colored Copics, colors below, and then added lots of Ranger's Diamond Stickles for the icy snow. I found a scrap of some pretty red and white paper from Cratepaper's Farmhouse collection. Matched up with White and Red card stock papers. I sewed down all the layers with zig zag stitching and a straight stitch. A red ribbon with polka dots is added as a band around the bottom cut to show off that great High Hopes sentiment "Think Snow".

Inside more of all the same papers.
