Charlie and his Snowman

I don't own many Snowman stamps, I really never needed any. You know here in Texas it just isn't a normal thing... snow that it is. But I love this Whiff of Joy image - Charlie building Snowman - and I do love adding the stickles for the icy effect!
Today's Card is for this weeks Whiff of Joy Challenge and

this week is a sketch brought to you by their DT member Heather, she really rocks... love her stuff. And loved this sketch. What was perfect timing is that my order from Ellen Hutson came yesterday afternoon, and in it was a paper collection by Memory Box called Winterberry. Oh love this collection for these winter cards! Look how cute the snowman paper is! All of these pattern papers are from that collection and work great together.

I stamped Charlie and the Snowman and colored them with my Copics and white gel pen, then cut them out with my Fiskars fingertip Kraft Knife. I chose 5 pattern papers from the set to fill all the areas of the sketch this week. I LOVE how the one pattern paper looks like a scene behind Charlie! How cool is that? All the pieces were cut to size and then sewed down. I stamped out the Whiff of Joy sentiment "Sending Winter Wishes" and matted it on a scrap from the darkest pattern paper. Then I pop dotted the image and the sentiment to the front of the card, and then pop dotted Charlie and the snowman to that so he would look like he is standing out in front of the hills in the background. And as I said in the beginning... the snow man is then stickled for that brrrrrrr cold look. I love this one, the papers and the image just all came together perfectly and that does not happen often for me!
Sorry that was so rushed and brief, but I am running sooooooo late today! It is my scrapbook buddy Amy's Birthday... (HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMY!!!) I am meeting her one other great friend, and my sister for lunch and shopping at the new Super JoAnn's... and where ever else we end up! I'll be back later today for some surfing and blog viewing! Have a great Thursday, and get inky!
