How exciting it this! Magnolia Vs. Stampavie Challenge. Two of my favorite companies in one challenge blog!
For our first challenge JayJay has a fabulous sketch! Love the circle at the bottom. Although you can spin it and use it any direction, just make sure that the original sketch can be recognized. And the prize this week is a gift certificate from from Donna at Crafty Krafts !
For my card I had to use another sneak peak image of the soon released Sarah Kay stamps. I just love the Raggedy Ann in this one! I don't think I ever had a Raggedy Ann... but my little sister did, man was thing worn out. It is all colored with Copics, and doodled around the edge with a Copic Multi-liner. I inked the edge and matted with the same card stock as the base.
For the papers I again went with one sheet from K&Company this is from the Classic K collection, the circle at the bottom is the reverse side of the floral pattern. I sewed with a dark brown thread and a blanket stitch. For my flowers I used a Martha Stewart Cosmos flower punch, inked then Prima flowers and buttons. Then I used SEI flower buttons. For the band across the top I used a gorgeous piece of lace that I wove a thin piece of ribbon through... that was a good idea that took a while to do. The sentiment is from Hero Arts. And I used a white gel pen to stitch the outer edge.
I hope you all are going to take part in this first challenge for Magnolia Vs. Stampavie Challenge Blog. And make sure to take a look at the other DT cards, really pretty!
Hope you all have a great Sunday... me I will be catching up on all that I was suppose to be doing yesterday. I spent over 4 hours working on my computer, it lost the printer. I tried to explain that it was sitting right next to it, but it wouldn't find it. I finally found it and then it lost the Internet connection!! Whew...I think it is all fixed, time will tell.
