It's my Party and I am celebrating with some BLOG CANDY!!

-CANDY IS CLOSED - THANK YOU! Winner will be announced in Sunday's post -
My birthday is coming... and I decided that was a great time to celebrate - and so I am offering up the "gift" for you! Yep it is BLOG CANDY TIME!!!

Here is my prize:
And so lets see what I have put together here... a little is new stuff I just went out and purchased and a few things are brand new that have been in my stash and need some love! While digging though one of my drawers a couple of weeks ago I found FOUR new Sugar Nellie images! Imagine that the poor things have never seen ink! They are all Rachelle Anne Miller, Duck in Boots, Lola with Bunny, Simon and Lola and Lola with Gift - all in the package with their adoption certificates - :0)

Then I went shopping...
I got two 4 x 6 DCWV Nana's Nursery stacks - one boy and one girl. (my two favorite card stacks)
I found these wonderful card bases & envelopes from K&Co. - recycled card stock in baby colors
One of my other favorites, Cloud 9 epoxy sentiment stickers.
And a Fiskars effervescent Border Punch -
And what would a blog candy be with out some ribbon? So I found this adorable baby carriage ribbon.. and another pink and white check ribbon...

I do hope you like all the goodies I have put together... they are some of my favorites and some that I would love see go to a home that will love them. Now what do you have to do to get this?

Well my "day" is August 15th - so let say it will end 8 pm (central time) on Saturday the 15th. My blog post on Sunday will be the winner! To qualify please leave me a comment on this post. Then please spread the word that I am growing another year older... LOL and that I have candy- you do not have to have a blog to qualify, but please spread the word where ever you chat.

Oh and one more thing.. in your comment...some of you may have read that Hubby has started our new addition to the house... my CRAFT ROOM... how about some ideas for paint colors!

Good Luck! and Thanks so much for visiting me -
HUGS

I didn't leave you any paint color ideas! My suggestion is to go neutral...I had a room with black on the bottom and grey on top with bright white chair rail and it was great because it didn't reflect any color onto my work! It made it a nice, warm place to work! I loved it!

Lisa said...

Fabulous blog candy! I'd say a neutral too. One that matches your sweet donkeys maybe. :)

Happy Birthday for the day
As for your craftroom. I think it should be decorated like a stable with lovely pictures of your donkeys on the walls. Then they will think it's their sunroom and can come and visit you when they get lonely

How exciting to get a brand new stamping room. I can't wait to see it all fixed up....I bet you can't either. LOL

Yays, happy birthday!!! Hmmm... I would say to paint it either whatever your fav color(s) are or whatever colors relax or inspire you. I think the crafting room is a sanctuary of sorts, so whatever gets the mojo flowing and makes you feel at home is best :D

Happy Birthday Michelle. A new craft room is such a great birthday present. I think you should paint your room in a color that makes you feel happy and of course like others said, have pictures of your cute donkies on the wall. I will help spread the word about your blog candy.

Hsppy Birthday! If you lived in Malta it would always be a public holiday on your day :P For your craft room, I would do one of the walls in a cheerful colour like yellow/light orange to help the inspiration to flow, while keeping the other walls white, but that's just me :)
Lovely candy, thanks for the chance to win!
Hugs, Louise

Goodness, how lucky you are to have a birthday and a new craft room. Love the photos of the donkeys and your blog. Keeping my fingers crossed to win this great candy. I would go with a very light mauve on the craft room walls, kinda like your blog background color.

Happy Birthday Michelle! How exciting to get a new craft room. I would paint it Pink, cause I love pink and it makes me happy!
Super candy!

#1) love the blog #2) Orange is supposed to naturally enhance creativity. Although not the favorite color of most, you may be able to find a shade that you like. I was bound and determined to find a shade of orange to work for my craft room and finally selected a very light (almost pastel orangy-pink) shade of orange which I now love (despite my natural hatred of orange :)

Leah l'Orange said...

WOO HOO for the craft room! this is fabulous (and i am envious)!

i'm with Jennifer above me about the colour orange... it's always inspiring (and my absolute favourite colour)! you seem to like bright, bold colours, so perhaps some orange and purple or yellow, with DONKEY TRIM! :) you'll have to post pics when it's all done! and ooohhh, what a WONDERFUL birthday gift.

so have a fab birthday, Michelle! my son is a Leo, too - August is a great month for birthdays! i have linked your candy up HERE... and have my fingers crossed, because i'd LOVE to win that yum!

ciao! :)

Your birthday just happens to be my anniversary! We will be married 38 years on August 15.

Wish I could advise about color, but not knowing you that is hard to do - a suggestion though - look in your closet and find the color that you have the most of. That is probably the color that most inspires you and that you are comfortable with!

Happy Birthday!

Linda w said...

Happy almost birthday Michelle. As far as a color for your new stamp room, I would definitely go with something light to brighten up the room. I painted mine a real pastel pink just because I never had a pink room. Being the Mom of three boys their rooms were either blue or grey. I drew the line at ds wanting the walls painted black so his black lights would look cool. He got grey.

thanks much

Happy birthday for the 15th. I can't believe you had those stamps and nt even inked them up lol. How about a nice blue colour for your craftroom. Blue is supposed to boost creativity

Happy Birthday coming Michelle. I love Birthdays, gives me a reason to celebrate with somebody :) I love the goodies you are giving away on your birthday. Hurray on the craftroom, I would want a nice yellow with stencilling I think. Yellow always makes a room bright. For a warmer, calmer feeling some shades of brown with maybe a little ink trim. I would have a hard time choosing myself, I love alot of colors. I added you to my blog and I will tell my groups too. I hope everyday before your birthday is wonderful too.

Happy upcoming b-day Michelle!

Unused Sugar Nellie stamps in your drawers, woman you must be mad! Oh well, I won't complain since you are offering them to be adopted - I sure would give them a loving and inky home ;)

About your craft room: you should go visit a home improvement store and stock up on paint samples - they are awesome to punch out flowers etc once you've decided on the color! :D I know it's a bit boring, but I would go for white though - gives the best natural light in the room. And you can always put up your own art to spice things up!

xx,

Colour on the walls... I'd go for something light - not neccesarily (oooh, way too long since I spelled that word! Can't remember the right way!) white, but something in that direction. :)
Hope you'll show us some pictures when it's done! ;)

Happy Birthday (August is the best month). Happy Birthday (early right now I know but figure I'd better say it now so I don't miss it!!)

As for a scrap room colour I say pick your "old stand-by" colour or patterned paper and choose colours from that, if they're colours you gravitate to whenever you craft then you must really like them!

Happy Birthday! Thanks for the opportunity to have some blog candy. I would paint my craft room a color from the Stampin Up! catalog because then you would have some great decorative paper to choose from to make some cool accessories for your room (Maybe a Big M with designer paper on it, frame with your favorite photo and the mat out of a piece of designer paper) The opportunities are endless. Have fun.

Hiya Michelle,
Wow this is an amazing amount of candy you are so generous I will be putting a link in my side bar for you as soon as fininshed commenting here :D
As for paint I know it sounds boring but for a creative space I love the idea of white with a load of black framed bright prints. I think the white would make all the colourfull embelishments stand out on the shelves :)

Great candy! Thanks so much for this chance to win it!!!!

Ive posted a link in my sidebar here: http://scrappinpenny.blogspot.com and I'm your newest follower.

Um... as for the paint color, I'm a BIG fan of Blue... or Purple. Any shade will do... lol. I wish I could paint my craft room but we're in military housing and anything we do we have to undo when we move, so I'm not dealing with the offwhite walls. lol. If I could though, I'd definately go with blue!

Happy birthday for 15th, hope you have a fabulously fantastic day - as for colour scheme for your new craft room - what about lemon and white? Very crisp and clean looking and will refelect the light making the room appear larger than it is and spacious.

Michelle,
How generous to offer such great blog candy! Hope your birthday is fabulous.

I think a sunny yellow would be a fun craft room color, maybe with lots of pics of your "critters" to keep you company while you're crafting.

Enjoy your special day,
Niki

Well first of all... Happy Birthday! I'm celebrating an anniversary on the 14th... wouldn't this be a great surprise!!! I LOVE these stamps and would soooo love to give them a new warm home with lots of love! Your candy is most generous! Now on to the craft room.... my hubby is slowing working on one for me too... and I plan to use a yellowish tan... if you know what I mean... it's a neutral, but it's a warm tan, almost a touch of gold. I love that as a backdrop for ANY piece of art you put on it and it feels warm and cozy. Just my thoughts! I will post your candy in my side bar! Thanks for the chance to win, o and by the way... I am offering some pretty nice candy now too you might want to check out! Thanks again!

Happy almost-birthday! Lucky you for getting a fabulous craft room. I'd go a light colour, maybe a soft cream or something that complements your furniture and any artwork that you want to display. Light colours also work will at night for brightening a room and reflecting available light.

Your blog candy is so generous! I've linked you up on my sidebar and I'm keeping my fingers crossed :)

Michelle I hope you have a wonderful birthday! What a fantastic bunch of candy you are giving away to celebrate (which would be very welcome to take up residence in my craft room). As for painting, I chose a yellow for my craft room (since I don't get any sunlight in it I thought it was a good choice to brighten it up). I've linked your giveaway on my blog. Happy Birthday ! And thank you for letting us celebrate it with you !

This is such an awesome blog candy and I have several new birth cards to make so would be perfect for me!

My job is a painter, decorator and interior designer ! I would suggest a light colour, not white. I love Farrow & Ball paint for the chalky texture, but it's of no use if you have children!

Slipper Satin is a lovely neutral colour a little bit between off white with a grey/green tinge !

I also saw one of the bloggers had cut out using vinyl and her cricut an inspirational saying about crafting and put it above her window. It looked amazing !

Sorry to go on - this is a passion as well as card making!

Good luck with the room - don't forget to post before and after pictures!

Hugs
Julie
