Disney Journals -

Hi - ok this is way off from the normal.. but I thought I might show you the simple little journals I made for my nieces and nephew. This Friday they leave for Disney World - For those that didn't see my post about their trip - you can find all the details in HERE on the Dream Factory web site. Tagen my nephew has CP and was chosen by the Dream Factory to make a wish come true. His wish was to play in Mickey's Playhouse. So the entire family is being treated to a one week vacation in Disney World. My Sister came up with this idea for them to have a journal, so each evening they can write or draw a memory from that day. They can also use it to gather those all important autographs from all the Disney characters.



Now I wanted to keep these simple and flat - so they could slide in and out of their backpacks easily. And I wanted them to reflect their personalities - With lots of BRIGHT, FUN, COLOR -

Tagen's (age 7 on Friday) of course had to be all about Mickey -

Kaylynn's (age 8) had to have lots of "puppies" and "dogs" on it, as that is her main priority to see all the dogs of Disney. This girl is obsessed with doggies...


Talisyn's (age 10) had to be girly with lots of pink and sparkles. I so wanted to add lots of flowers and embellishments - but that went against my flat rule.. :0)


All three were made with Composition Notebooks. I got a huge stack of them over a year ago on clearance with the school supplies, I paid 5 cents each! Now that is a deal! I covered them with scrapbook papers, added their names, stickers, computer printed clip art, bling, and stickles. For bookmarks I strung plastic beads on ribbon and then ran down the spine of the notebook, then covered with gaffer tape.

I hope they are going to like them - I can't wait to see them when they get back, I am sure they will really be cute at that point can't wait to see all that they put inside!
