I was in Hobby Lobby the other day... I know shocker there huh? LOL Anyway I was walking around trying to find some inspiration... some mojo... you been there before? I went down the Christmas isle and saw these oval paper mache ornaments. I guess that is what they are.. kind of a chipboard looking stuff. Anyway they were on sale 40% off and at .99 cents minus 40% that was some pretty cheap inspiration! As soon as I picked it up I saw the Sarah Kay Noel images!! I only bought one... duh not real smart. I think I am going to go back and get more of them - how GORGEOUS would it be to do all of the Sarah Kay Noel images and put them on a tree!!! Yep that was some great inspiration and mojo!!
So I went through my pattern papers and found some lined and music papers from K&Company - I glued them onto the ornament, sanded and inked. I then stamped out Stampavie's Sarah Kay Noel Charity image, colored with my Copics, then tore the edges and inked. I glued it onto the ornament and then very lightly sanded... didn't want to loose my image just age it a bit.
I added some lace ribbon, and three Making Memories blings and stickles for some snowflakes - then on top some shear ribbon as a bow top! I so love how it came out! I am not the greatest at the vintage collage crafter... but I this turned out pretty - and I can't wait to the other images! So you making anything for Christmas? I would love to know what you are doing. I need some ideas for some gifts this year!! LOL
Well better get things going - lots of work to do today... so I hope you have a wonderful Thursday!
