A Spoon Full of Sugar - Sketch by Nikki!!!

Hi! Spoon Day - and today Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge is a wonderful sketch from Nikki! Loved working with this sketch, heck I love all her sketches!

For my card I started out with Stampavie's Sarah Kay Noel Joy image - I know I have said it before.. but I just love these images!!! and I love this one, I am a sucker for big hats.. just love how they look - but never wear them myself... except for my big floppy "lawn mowing" straw hat! LOL

Anyway I just love the big hats Sarah Kay does - and Joy really has an awesome hat!

I colored with my Copics and high lighted with white gel pen. And then used my Rubbernecker Kittie Scene stamps to make the tree limbs.

For my card I used a mixture of lots of pattern papers, most of which where scraps - really makes me proud when I can do that. I believe these are from JoAnn's Debbie Mum, Making Memories, Heidi Grace and one other I can't remember. I decided I wanted to create more of the tree that I started on the image.. so instead of a pattern paper as one of the pieces I stamped out more of the tree. Love my Kittie scene stamps! I used some Karen Foster metal pieces that say Merry Christmas and buttons that say Noel and Joy.. colors are a little off from my bright green and red, but I still like them.

This is a full sketch, but it really does work well together - I hope you will give it a try! For the sketch and to see the other FABULOUS DT cards - visit A Spoon Full of Sugar HERE and you can also have a chance at a wonderful prize!

I am suppose to attend a funeral today - I hope I can make it, there is suppose to be horrible rain, and I have a problem with getting Sergio fed, and Hubby is off fishing today... this parenting thing and having someone here to take care of the "children" does get tough sometimes. But I am going to still try and work things out - I really would like to be there to pay my respects. Hope you have a wonderful day - and have some time to color and craft!

wow that is an amazing hat! you know I think I could get into hats, I have a couple I wear in the summer if the sun is shining and a couple of furry winter ones, but nothing quite as flamboyant as this Sarah Kay hat! gorgeous card Michelle, and I hope you get things sorted out today.

I would like to read a bit more on that blog soon. By the way, rather good design you have at this site, but don’t you think design should be changed from time to time?
