Updates - I am doing well... overwhelmed -- - oh and we had a new baby

Hello and from the bottom of my heart THANK YOU!

I really can't even put into words how much all of your support has meant to me and helped me keep my spirits up. Hubby is reading each of your comments and emails to me - they really do lift me and make both of us feel loved and supported.

So how am I doing? Well... I am doing well, and just waiting for my surgery - at this point we think it will be the 14th. I am learning how to move around and see with my left eye - I didn't see well before the accident, and wore contacts, now they say I have to only wear glasses and that is taking some adjusting.  Depth perception, and seeing around a room is taking some time to learn.  I have had very little pain this last week. Just headaches and some dizziness. Light still bothers me, and the TV and computer screen just really effect me.

I again need to say thank you to everyone - The support has meant the world to us - I really can't even put it into words - I think I already said that :0)

So before I go - we have had a new baby here on the farm... Life goes on and that is a true joy. Except... Did I tell you the Dr.s won't let me go outside to love on my kids? THAT HAS TO BE THE HARDEST THING TO DEAL WITH FOR ME! Any way - Annie one of our goats last weekend had a baby! Hubby went to let the dogs out about 11pm and came in and got me and walked me out to see it. And now every day he brings it up to the porch so I can see how big she is already getting! She is amazing - JUST STUNNING... I named her Chloe ...

She is white with buckskin and black spots... and she has her Dads ice blue eyes... she is gorgeous..
She has a healthy set of lungs too... WOW.

Life goes on. And the big picture is that I am going to be fine, I am getting stronger each day and in a couple of months I will be able to get back to babies. I hope to try coloring soon too miss that almost as much as my babies :0). I love each of you and really have enjoyed hearing from you... your support really has lifted me in ways I cannot even express... again I think I have said that -   :0)

Time for me to sign off.... and even if I have said it before... Thank you from the bottom of my heart  ==== HUGS and

I just learned about your accident on Niki Estes blog and I wanted to let you know how sorry I am. I am totally blind in my right eye, have been since birth, and I wear glasses to see well with the left eye. I'm sure it's much different to have this happen as an adult, but I just wanted to offer my support and encouragement to you. Yes, this does affect your depth perception, but you will adjust to it. I also happen to be completely color blind, yet I do manage to create artwork that looks good (you can visit my blog to see what I'm able to do even with my infirmities). I'm sure you'll be back to creating in no time! My prayers and thoughts are with you.

I learnt of your accident through http://magslittlethings.blogspot.com/I'm sorry to hear of your ordeal, I've looked at your lovely creative flair and I doubt that your accident will hold you back from getting back to creativity again. Once you have found your passion you have also found your purpose in life. Congratulations on your newest baby to your family it's just sooo cute! my family had a goat when I was little, her name was Vanilla, she used to eat gingernuts with a vengeance, if you didn't have one in your hand for her when you went to pat her, she would bunt you across the lawn, the only people that got a good laugh about it was the neighbors watching us feed her from time to time. my brother was about 5years old at the time and you would often see him flying across the garden hahhaahaa goats certainly gave our family many happy memories as I'm sure they would for your family also.

Best of luck for the healing of your eye, take your time to mend, your passion will not be lost, you will find a way back to your crafts in your own time, everyone will be waiting for you patiently :)

Michelle-Try not to get discouraged. I have recently (3 weeks ago) had serious eye surgery and I thought I would be seeing clearly in a few days. It is a slow process and for someone like you who is so active I am sure it will be an aggravating one. I find that I have to tell myself that it will get better and to be patient. God has great plans for you and I am sure that in His goodness you will be able to color again soon. You are in my prayers. Wishing you all the best of everything with your surgery and recovery - my mum has had some very distressing illness including facial surgery, and even though her situation is very different I have seen how keeping a positive attitude makes ALL the differnece when it comes to getting through it. Stay strong hun and you will all the sooner be back to doing everything you want to do. I know what your going through with loosing sight. I myself lost vision in my left eye and can only see from half my nose to the right in my right eye however, mine was from a stroke, I was 36 years old at the time and now being 39 I have managed to get back to doing the things I love and that too is card making. I may not be able to see well enough to drive ever again but, thats ok because, I did learn how to manage with what little vision I have left. It's scarry at first but with time and your positive attitude and all the love and support you have trust me it will get easier and once again you will be back on your feet again. Hang in there and best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Hi, Michelle. I've never written to you before but I know you, your blog and your babies and I was really sad when I heard about your accident. Now I'm happy to read all these good news, including the birth of the little Chloe. AUGURI DI CUORE from Italy. Miria

Keeping you and your entire family in my thoughts and prayers!!
Spoke to my Mom today and told her your story--she has been without her left eye for 51 years now--she had a benign tumor which took her eye at 24 yrs old and she had 6 little babies at home.
Keep the faith~~
