Animal Crackers - Gorgeous Weather, sunny and cool and of course PUPPIES

Happy Saturday!! It was just gorgeous outside yesterday afternoon to take photos... some where having fun and playing, some were sunning, and some well... they just didn't care that I wanted to take their photos as they were enjoying grazing. But first... you know I have to show off PUPPY PHOTOS!!! They are still like big worms, really big as they have pretty much doubled in size, but oh they are starting to look more and more like puppies! Can't wait until their eyes open and they start playing. I know I say that now... in a few weeks I may be wishing they were happy to be contained like they are now!

They are just too cute aren't they? Sleep and Eat, Sleep and Eat... that is their life....
Libbie is an amazing Mom - very protective. Those first few days she wouldn't even leave them for a second. Now she will run outside for a few minutes and run to look out the front window from time to time, but she is always back really quick and makes sure that no one is hungry. Wish you could hear them in this photos... "Mini Libbie" talks the entire time she is eating. Too funny.
Autie has been wonderful as well. Most of the time you can find him laying just outside the puppy pen. He really misses Libbie - and is happy she is no going outside with him, but to get out his energy he has really taken up with running around the house and playing with Gato, the cat. She really likes Autie, and tolerates and plays with him much better than Libbie. They are fun to watch.
This is what we call "Raffie's Pen" - our spotted Jack, and his Ladies and their babies. They had no interest in coming across the pen to see me, or have their photos taken... must have been some really good new grass or something, I am trying to not take it personally...
The youth pen... now this pen has its own challenges to taking photographs. As soon as these young kids see me coming outside, they all run towards me. They get right up on the fence and bunch up making it impossible to take decent photos. But I did love this one - Felicia, Mirta and Cali trotting towards me... look at that determination on Mirta's face to get around Cali and be the first to the fence! And she was...
Chloe and her Mom Annie were sunning in a sandy spot. They looked so comfortable, I thought I would love to get a lounge chair out there and join them. They stayed right there the entire time I was outside, just enjoying the sun, the breeze and watching everything around them. Frankie on the other hand was pawing at the ground, banging on the fence and trying to figure out how to get on the other side.... poor thing is wanting to have some of the girls visit him... another couple of weeks and we will probably send Paintbrush and Annie over to live on his side for a while. It is getting time to wean Chloe anyway... and if we want more babies they need to visit Frank. I need to figure out how I will take Hubby into another buck so we can breed Chloe, Lucy and Jill in the future. But right now they are still a bit young. Especially Jill. So no need to start nagging... I mean requesting just yet.

Hope you have a wonderful Saturday - and that it is sunny and nice where you are. At least the afternoons have been nice here the past couple of days - everyone here at Animal Crackers has really enjoyed the sunny cool weather. Me... a few degrees warmer at night and things would be just right.

HUGS and -

Oh how I wish I was there Michelle! It's so cold and damp here now, been a lond tome since we saw the sun. Had a bad cold too so not been around blog land a lot. Wonderful pics, the puppies are blooming and it's lovely that libbie is taking to motherhood so well. And gato & Autie have some fun time too.xx

Your blog is always my first stop on Saturdays. I can't wait to see all the animals!!! Glad you and all of them are doing so well. Thanks so much for sharing with us. If I had one last fence up I'd want a spotted donkey. I saw a spotted something once and the owner told me it was an Assaloosa. It was beautiful. I look forward to more pics.
