Spoon Full of Sugar - Snow and Snowflakes!

Winter is blowing in, and in many areas that means Snow! Ok so not here in Texas... and that is something I like. Snow is gorgeous to look at, visit from time to time. But I am cold right now and it is only in the 50's.. I am sure your are tired of my whining about the cold. :0) I do love watching and looking at snow. And when I found out what this week's challenge was at Spoon Full of Sugar this week, I dug and dug and dug in my stash to find an ornament I purchased last year and never got around to putting together.
Pretty huh? This is a hard plastic ornament I purchased at Hobby Last year - one of those 1/2 off sales, I think this was like 75 cents. The center has a pops off to let you place anything inside, stamped images, photos or mementos. Of course I used stamped images. The first side I used Stampavie Penny Johnson's Snowy Cuddles. I just adore this winter image, look how happy this snow couple are. I colored with Copics, and used stickles on her hat, and then placed the popped out center over the image and drew out where I needed to cut out my shape. Then went to work on side two -

Again I went with a Stampavie Penny Johnsons image - Dearest Dear  adorable image that worked really well in the small space. And I loved that both sides are both "Couples" - I thought about a tag that read "our first Christmas"   But decided I would wait and see how I ended up using it, cuz it also would be a great embellishment on a gift.  Again Colored with my Copics, and the stickles on the snow flakes, and gold stickles on the bells of his collar.

Now all thought this was pretty and had a shine to it, it wasn't enough bling for me. So I added Stickles all over the snowflake itself, really love how it sparkles now! I then took out the plain silver string hanger and with some frustration I put a red satin ribbon through as the hanger. Was tough.. but love the look.

This was a pretty easy project, and really I am thinking I should pick up a few more to use on gifts this year - I love the look of them! Hope you liked :0)  Now pop on over to A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge and see the rest of the DT's winter snowflakes!

See you tomorrow for "Me and My Space"... photoing my Unmounted Stamp Storage :0)
