Animal Crackers - Mowing down

Howdy -

This week the weather has cooled off and things have been pretty green around here from the rain a couple of weeks ago. Everyone is loving the new green! Raffie is helping with a little "MOWING" around his pen. Hubby put up some temp panels and let Raffie out to eat some of that growing green stuff.

It has been years since I remember so much green growing so late in the year. NO complaining here.

Black Jack has been loving all the green as well.... and doesn't he look just so so so handsome in all those wild flowers.. or weeds. He is such a stunning man.

Getting up there in the years. And getting a bit of gray on his face, but still a handsome stud! And this weekend is THE WEEKEND! Hubby has said that if it doesn't rain he is going lead in a few guest for Black Jack to host in his bachelor pen for a little while! YEP the dude is getting some girlfriends so we can have some babies next year!

I think he knows we have been talking about this subject... LOL Raffie might just get a couple of friends too. We just want to do a little work on his pen first.

Snapped a photo at a sweet calm feeding in the goat pen last night..

More like a brawl at a dress clearance sale! LOL

Gracie looked over at me with a panic look... and screamed out -

I think she was worried she wasn't going to get enough to herself. But no worries. Hubby made sure she got another bowl in her area to split the group up... actually we end up with 5 bowls. But that first bowl is a feeding frenzy!

Speaking of feeding frenzy... had some stale bread for the chickens yesterday. Glad I could throw this around and not get too close.

Those pieces of bread were moving around everywhere and didn't last but  a minute or two at most.

Glad I snapped this photo before the bread went in. Are Leon and Elenore a good looking couple?

Still no eggs from Elenore. I am at a loss of why. She stopped for her moulting season and nothing from her since. Just don't know... But she is a looker! As is dapper Leon.

Hope you have a wonderfully blessed weekend  - chilly and chance of rain here but a nice quiet around the house weekend. Liking that... seems like we have been moving at the speed of light lately. Looking forward to a slow calm few days...

Whimsy Stamps November Release!!

Howdy -

Whimsy Stamps November Release is gorgeous! Have you gone over and seen all the goodies? Today I had some fun with one of Mi Ran Collection's new images "Kalina" - just love her in her pretty little flowing dress and all those flowers.

I went with a vintage feel on this one, Kalina just seemed to want vintage. Finding papers from Dovecraft Sweet Paris. I inked up all the edges of the paper with my Ranger Distress Tea Dye ink. For matting and some girlie lace I created a mat with a piece of pale yellow card stock and my Martha Stewart Lace Border/Corner punches. Inked that up too. My image is colored with my Copics (colors below) trying to match up to the papers. I sewed all the layers down with straight stitches on my sewing machine.

The sentiment is also from Whimsy Stamps as is the die cut. "Slider Die 2"  Now you must run over and get this die right away as it is on clearance!! And I mean CLEARANCE.... LOL  the stamp is matched up with the die Lovely spring Sentments. I colored this to match the papers. The slider is held on with a satin ribbon.

For some added embellishment I used the "Vine Die Set" for some greenery. These are one of my favorite little die sets. Perfect for corners of the card. I love to add flowers to the vine too... this time I used a Martha Stewart flower punch for tiny little flowers to match what Kalina is carrying.

Inside the card the same papers -

And the Copic colors used -

Whimsy Stamps November Release!

Howdy -

So excited about the Whimsy Stamps November Release!! This release has sooo many great images and dies on my favorite list! Today I got a chance to play with a fun little Dachshund !

"Dachshund Balloon"

Loved coloring up this little doggie.... and those long balloon! I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then matched it up with some pretty girlie papers from Dovecraft Sweet Paris collection. Made me giggle to use the tape measure paper with the loooooong sentiment that comes with the dachshund image! I am easily amused sometimes...

I used a Martha Stewart double loop border/corner punch to create a mat and sewed down all the layers and mats. The sentiment I cut out and matted twice with the same free style cutting.

To add some dimension I dug out a bottle of glaze for the balloons. Need to get more of this mine is so old it was not so easy to get out of the bottle... but I love the effect!

High Hopes Stamps - Jolly Old St. Nick

Howdy -

High Hopes Stamps today and today is a little giggle... HO HO HO! Jolly Old St. Nick here and isn't he just adorable laughing at those two cute kitties.

This Happy Santa make me smile. I colored with my Copics (colors below) Seems those two kitties like to hide in Santa's boot and hat! I found a old piece of peppermint candy pattern paper in my stash from Fiskars. It has a little shimmer to it. I added red and white card stock and sewed down all the layers with a zig zag stitch. Worked perfect with the HO HO HO sentiment.

Love how you can color the HO HO HO to match your card.  For some added embellishment I added some Viva Decor Pearl Pen to Santa's Coat and hat for a little fuzzy look.

Close up of Santa and the kitties...

Animal Crackers - Bad Peso

Howdy -

This week I went out and snapped some great photos of calm resting animals. They were enjoying the cooler weather (low 80's high 70's) and a nice breeze after a front. But one of my furry children was not calm or relaxing....

Bad Bad Bad Peso! Now his "women" were removed from his pen a couple weeks ago. And now he is back to his old Bachelor ways. Showing off his testosterone  manly ways. I mean don't you think wow that is such a smart hunky guy when you see a a man slamming his head against steel? Be still my heart...

It is a good thing he gives me such pretty babies... LOL

Not a rocket scientist... but for sure a looker!

And here is his damage.  Bad Bad Bad Peso!! These things are not cheap to replace!

Second panel he has destroyed this year.

Nice calm men...

Chachi and Hank are best buds. They are usually always together. Rare for two male goats. But they have known each other and been together all their life. Now how they are both napping on that narrow bench.. I have no clue...

Now I showed you a week or so ago Paintbrush and her daughter Olive enjoying the weather on the spool table. This week I found another of Paintbrush's daughters Rhett enjoying the top of the spool table with her daughters Louise and Thelma.

Good thing Rhett and the girls are a bit smaller than Paint and Olive.... that table is not that big. LOL but it seems to be a great place to nap in nice weather.

In the cat hut we found Momma and Scaredy Cat enjoying another bench.

These two have gotten a bit friendlier but still bolt for cover if you move too fast. Nice to see that they are sort of starting to trust us. But they were not totally happy with me when they realized I did not have can food for them on this trip. They got it later though don't worry... LOL

I do thank you all for the positive thoughts and prayers for Miss Libbie.

She is doing ok. Still bumping into things. But she is getting around and walking better. Hoping she stays leveled out and doesn't get any worse. I love this little girl so much it just kills me to think she is hurting at all. So far just not seeing well in dark places and shadows. Her pupils are always large like this and those cloudy areas seem to get smaller and larger.

Well I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend and have something fun planned with friends family or furry children.

Estate sale this morning then lunch with friends. Then I am thinking an afternoon of coloring :0)

Whimsy Stamps - Alex and Her Happy Tacky Xmas

Howdy -

Today's card is one of the new Whimsy Stamps Images... and she just cracks me up! Love when an image makes me laugh while I am working with it. This is "Alex and Her Happy Tacky Xmas"

There is nothing funnier at Christmas than tacky ugly sweaters! Alex has a great one! I colored with my Copics and then cut her out with an oval Nestie. I found some Christmas papers in my scraps. I sewed down a couple patterns with zig zag stitch on green card stock. And I love the sentiment that comes with Alex is PERFECT! "Seriously?"... LOL cracks me up! Great card to send to a friend for some fun.

Inside more of the same papers.

Close up of Alex.. sorry I forgot to take a photo of the Copic colors before I went to my next card.

Seriously? ... LOL

Hope you have a wonderful day and find some time to do some coloring.

Suppose to rain more today... good day to stay in and color! :0)

High Hopes Stamps - Mini Snowman

Howdy -

Today is my High Hopes Stamps day and I had fun playing with.. I mean working with the Snowman Mini Set. This is a great fun set that you can do lots with!

A simple card that I think is really fun. So the three snowmen are stamped and then masked off then I stamped the circles so the arms and hands would hang over the circles. I colored them all with my Copics (colors below) I found some Christmas papers in my stash that I layered and then asked my sewing machine to help me with the embellishment - I sewed the layers together with a snowflake stitch! Love that. Ok it took a while. But I think it was worth it. I tried a few other embellishments on this one, but honestly the stitching and those cute little snowman faces were all I could see working here!

Same papers inside.
