Animal Crackers - Whatcha You Lookin' At?

Howdy -

Now this photo made me laugh out loud!

This is one of our young Guineas - And I am thinking with this look she has a bit of attitude! LOL Their feathers are coming in nicely and they are growing big. I am going to hate to release them into the goat pen when it is time. I hate too loose any of them. But our old girls have lived long lives in with the lady goats. We lost one of the last two Old Guineas this last week, so we only have one old lady left. I think it was simply old age and the heat.

Here is our last old lady taking an afternoon break with Bell and Gracie. That is the prime spot in the goat pen in the afternoon. They all line up and claim spots as soon as it starts getting hot. Ok, the goats line up... the Guinea always has a spot there, if not she runs off one of the goats.

Bell is one of the pets... she is my girl that had the semi-stroke during a very rough birth. She is fine and gets along good. But no more babies. So we only got one baby from her ever. Miss Sweet Pea.

Sweet Pea gave a beautiful baby boy for her first baby, and look forward to breeding her again this fall. She has her Grandma's Pop Eyes.  Lillie was one of our original 4 goats, and we lost her a couple of years ago.. simply old age. We loved her so much she was so friendly and those eyes just melted me.

We talk about thinning out some of the goats and bringing in some new blood lines. But Sweet Pea, will always stay here, simply because I see that heart of her Grandma Lillie.

Now the heat has been pretty brutal here. Over 100 many days, the chickens have to have their misters to keep them cooled off. Love how this chicken is just standing in front of it staring it down.

Guess I would too... LOL

Found a bird, that didn't seem to mind me moving all around her. Not sure what kind, as it seems she is molting a bit. She was hanging around the back yard around the goat pen. Making sure to stay in the shade. But then I realized she had to if she was going to perch on the fencing...

I leaned on the pipe fence top to take the photograph of Sweet Pea. I still have a red mark on my arm! OUCH can you say HOT! Smart bird... stay in the shade there!

Hope you have a wonderfully blessed weekend and make sure to enjoy a furry fuzzy or feathered friend!

HUGS...

Whimsy Stamps - Mister Mummy

Howdy -

You have plans for you Halloween Treats? Well Whimsy Stamps has a few new images that are just perfect to say Trick or Treat!

This is Mister Mummy by Krista Heij-Barber

Simply Adorable right? Love this little mummy cutie. I colored with my Copics and then loosely cut around it. It comes with the fun sentiment as part of the image. The "bag" is a Sizzix Big Shot Pro Die that goes together really quickly. I used dark purple card stock, with a green and white pattern papers that I used a very old scallop scissors to cut the edges. A ribbon for a top. Was really quick to put together.

How cute would it be to make a bunch of these and hand them out to your favorite trick or treaters? Or what if you are a school teacher? You could make up one for each student and have them on the desk for the school party! Or gifts for office co-workers! Wow the list goes on an on. And these really do go together pretty fast so one evening while watching your favorite program and you would have the best treats!

Have a wonderfully blessed day - And have some fun coloring!

High Hopes Stamps - Friendly Kitty

Howdy -

Yesterday we had the High Hopes Stamps Challenge and I made a card with Curious Kitty and while deciding another Kitty was calling out to be inked as well. So I decided to color up both of them for this week. :0)

Today I used "Friendly Kitty" Adorable right?

I colored up with my Copics (colors below) and then found some papers in my stash from First Editions Spring Drop collection. I loved the oranges with the kitty. And how can you not love papers with glitter? I sewed the layers together and then added a Whimsy Doily die and a few Viva Decor Pearl Orange dots. Such a sweet kitty! And for my sentiment I used the new "Purrrfect Day" Sentiment

Inside more of the same papers.

Animal Crackers - Mad Chicken

Howdy -

One day last week I heard some real loud chatter coming from the chicken pens. I found one chicken having some sort of attitude issue!

Her neck was stretched out like a giraffe and she was telling off one of the chickens in the pen next to her. Every once in a while she would peck at the fence, then fly up and use her feet to make sure her point was made. Not sure what the discussion was all about but I made sure to stay out of it!

I snapped a few photos of the girls trotting towards us that I thought were cute.. Bella was the funniest. I don't think her feet were on the ground she was coming in so fast. LOL

She is such a pretty thing. And she does not like to be the last one to the party! EVER!

Right behind her was Pepita. She was at a fast walk pace.

So hoping this little lady is pregnant. She won't show for a long while so we just have to wait and see. I adore her dark face. Reminds me so much of her stunning Daddy Black Jack.

And then Fancy Pants... time was at a very slow pace here. VEEEERRRRY SLLOOOW!

Why hurry if we are willing to stand there and wait for her? She has us all figured out..

Love this shot of Jill.

Enjoying one of the best shade spots that gets a nice afternoon breeze. She is a sweet pet now, after a really bad pregnancy a couple of years ago it is too risky to breed her again. Shame she had beautiful babies, and they were always sweet just like her. So I just have to love her now and love on her lots.

Speaking of loving... Miss Libbie. She cracks me up sometimes.

It has been really hot here, and I guess she is not happy with my energy conservation and not letting the air conditioner run 24/7.. so that furry bed that she loves so much must have gotten to warm, so she flipped it over to the silky side. Well after she pulled both beds to the corner so she can control who if anyone is allowed to lay down on that one.. then she flipped hers over and climbed on! The girl may not see well anymore, but she still the boss of all things around her! Absolutely adore her!

Hope you have a wonderfully blessed weekend and that you have something furry - fuzzy - or feathered kids to love on!
