High Hopes Stamps - Willy One Eye

Howdy -

This week I am sharing a little birthday card I made for my nephew... I try and do something fun colorful and silly... and how can you not get silly with "Willy One Eye"?

I just love this guy... We have a lot in common I suppose, LOL I colored with my Copics and then found some fun bright color papers from My Minds Eye Kids collection. I sewed the layers together with a mat from Whimsy Doily  Die.

The Eye and the Mouth have Nuvo Clear Shine on them... hard to tell in the photo.. but they have a shine! Then a sentiment "I've Got my Eye on You!

Copic colors -

I just love Willy One Eye! Hope you found him cute too!

Have a great day -

I adore the country feel of this image! And I love all the little details in this image. I colored with my Copics, and then found some scrap papers from Paper Studio Christmas papers, A little different color combo but it feels so country and winter at the same time. I sewed down the layers and added the High Hopes Stamps sentiment "Warm Winter Wishes"  A few red buttons for a little embellishment and all done. Again.. love the country feel to it.

Here are the Copic colors used -

Howdy -

Today the High Hopes Challenge is an Anything Goes Challenge. No excuses for not joining in on the challenge this week! I colored up one of the new release images "Tea For Two" - cute mice huh?

Colored up with my Copics ( colors below ) Then I found some papers from Cosmo Cricket which totally by coincidence  has the same collection name as the image "Tea for Two". Honestly didn't know that until I was done with my card... LOL  I sewed down all the papers. I added a satin ribbon band and lots of flowers and leaf punches.

High Hopes Challenge - Stripes!

Howdy -
Today it all about stripes. The challenge this week for High Hopes Stamps is asking us to use stripes on our projects. Easy right?

I pulled out another of the new release stamps "Wow... What A Catch!"

Love this fishing bear -

I found some papers from Simple Stories Legacy collection - loved the color combos of this set. Great striped pattern paper for the challenge. I used Kraft card stock for the base and made up a layout. I zig zag stitched the papers together. The image is colored with my Copics (colors below). I added four buttons... they have a more reddish color to them in person. I then decided that those fish needed some sparkle to them so I added stickles to them.

Great challenge this week - we really would love it if you would pop over to the challenge and throw a project into the hat to win more High Hopes of your own!! Great DT inspiration as well...

Me..... I am still fighting this cold. Hate when it lingers! I have so much I want to do and I have that slow motion feel to me. Hard to get things done when you feel that way isn't it? So sitting still and coloring seems like so much of a better idea. LOL Hope you have a much better day where you are.

Have a great one -

High Hopes Challenge - For a Girl!

Howdy-

High Hopes Challenge this week is all about us girls! To make your card for a girl. Which means we can use lots of those girly items we like so much.

I pulled out another of the new release High Hopes Images - Beary Wishes... adorable little bear don't you think?

I colored with my Copics - and then added thick clear dimensions glaze over the balloons. I cut with an oval nestie used a Copic around the edge and inked the edges with Ranger Distress Ink in Tea Dye color. The papers I used are from Kaisercraft's Charlotte's Dream collection. Sewed down in a zig zag stitch. Die cut two borders, and then three dots of Viva Decor Cream Paper Pen. (Which now I am seeing are very crooked.... hmmmm)  A small sentiment in a punched piece.

Howdy -

Today is the High Hopes Challenge! Yea.. and to go along with the new release the challenge this week is "Furry Friends". This new release has so many fun furry animals in it! You can choose any High Hopes Furry image in the challenge.

I chose "Favorite Honey Bear" for my card this week.

I colored with my Copics - and then added glaze over the honey for that sticky shiny look.  For my papers I used a dark yellow card stock for the base, the pattern papers are mostly all Graphic 45, and then the bees are from my scraps. The bees just seemed to work well.  I added three dots Viva Decor Black Pearl Pen. All my papers are sewn down.

High Hopes Challenge - Christmas

Howdy -

Tuesday and that is the High Hopes Challenge, now I won't lie to you here... I love to put a good Hallmark Christmas Movie on (I know you grinned here Deana!) then color and craft. But this week I just had a little bitty thing out in the yard that made me want to play outside instead! LOL The new baby goat Abigail is just wasting all my time! Ok, a cool front came through yesterday afternoon so I went in when I got cold and colored. Taking breaks to run out and say Hi to Abigail. Don't want her to forget me so I make sure to say Hi lots!

This week the challenge at High Hopes is to make a Christmas card! HO HO HO -

I pulled out Christmas Pals for my card -

I colored up the Pals with my Copics and then used Viva Decor White Pearl for the snow and Sparkle for Santa's fur trim. I cut out with an oval Nestie then went off to find papers.

Digging into the older Christmas stash I found a Basic Grey Wassail paper pad  - Matched it up with Kraft card stock and red Bazzil card stock for matting. I cut a Whimsy Snow flake border as well.

Inside more of the same papers and then along with my own doodling I stamped the High Hopes sentiment "Christmas Joy"

Copic colors used -

I started another Hallmark movie and moved on to another card...  Hubby shakes his head when he walks through and goes onto his outdoor projects. LOL

Please do pop over to the High Hopes Challenge Blog and see all the DT Christmas projects. Then join us for your chance to win more High Hopes!

Have a wonderful blessed day!

High Hopes Challenge - Silver

Howdy -

Today's High Hopes Challenge is all about Silver - To add Silver to your card or project. I have this really pretty Merry Christmas Silver Ribbon... somewhere.... but never did find it. I now am thinking that I used it up last year and was so upset when I had planned my card around this now gone ribbon. But in my digging I found another piece of silver. A long ago purchase of a Making Memories metal silver border piece. So that with the fun new image "Ice Fishing Penguin" got me to this Christmas Card.

Just absolutely love this image... my kind of fishing for sure, just don't tell Hubby he really gets into the "Sport" of it.

I colored with my Copics (colors below) then added Viva Decor White Pearl Pen for the snow. My paper is a very old piece of Cloud 9 Christmas Is Stripe paper. Dug very deep in the stash and found some older Christmas papers... love the colors on this one. Then I found a piece of Bazzil Glitter paper... yes with SILVER glitter made in it! Whoo Hoo... another silver!

Then I decided it needed some Christmas winter looking decor, so I punched out a whole bunch of Martha's Branch punches, added more Viva Decor White and then Red Stickles for some berries. The tag is hand made and then I the High Hopes sentiment "Merry Christmas!"

Love how this one has a bit more of a manly feel to it... didn't intend on that. Usually is hard for me to do that guy thing.... LOL

High Hopes Challenge - Photo Inspiration

Howdy -

High Hopes Challenge today has an inspiration photo. Don't do many challenges with a photo inspirations fun as it gives you lots of room for your own imagination but a goal in the end.

I pulled out the Peek A Boo Baby again - this little image just makes me smile!

Just adorable isn't he? Or She?  I colored with my Copics (colors below) Then added some Viva Decor White Pearl Pen to add some poof and shine to the fluff in the hat. I also added a few Martha Stewart branch punches in the corner added more white to the branches for snow, then red glitter for some berries... sort of like the inspirations slightly maybe? Ooops need to show you the inspirations photo...

For the card I used a white card stock base with red for the mats. Dug into my scraps for some papers to match -

Buttons for some added embellishments - and then the sentiment that is also from High Hopes. No Peeking!

Fun challenge this week we would love it if you could join us!  You can see all the DT work HERE at the challenge blog.

Today I have to spend the day cleaning the kitchen and cleaning out the Fridge.... sigh...  The old refrigerator decided it was tired. And so before it died completely we decided we probably needed to buy a new one. 12 years is a long time for a fridge right? I know years ago they lasted so much longer, but so did everything else. So before it left me with a lot of hot food we bought a new one. I don't think my first car was that much... LOL But if I can get another 12 years it will all be good. New fridge will be here this afternoon - Ready or Not...

Hope you have a wonderful day -

High Hopes Challenge - Mittens!

Howdy -

Well things are getting cold this week here... ok to some chilly not cold. But for me cold. Great time for the High Hopes Challenge this week. Mittens! Fun different challenge isn't it?

All you need is a High Hopes image wearing mittens or mittens on your pattern paper. Mittens showing anywhere in your project basically. Well I found that the new image "Santa's Gift" has him wearing mittens. Then I went through my scraps and found some papers with mittens in the pattern. Not sure of who made them... old old scraps.

I colored Santa with my Copics (colors below) then I matted on dark red card stock, that I also used for the card base. A few carefully placed pieces of the pattern paper to show off the mittens , and then some adhesive lace. The Noel with the mittens is from the pattern paper.

A little Doodling around Santa and some added stickles for Santa's outfit and then on the pattern paper there was some bling... but not enough so I added more.

Inside more of the papers.
