Whimsy Stamps - Teddy Flying a Kite

Howdy -

Some days you just have to take some time and go fly a kite! Enjoy life! So I colored up the new Whimsy Stamps image by Lee Holland "Teddy Flying a Kite"

Sweet right? I stamped out the Teddy once then again on my pattern dot paper so I could cut out the kite. I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then attached the kite onto my image. I love paper piecing to match up the image with the pattern paper.

For the sentiment I stamped out "Share a Smile & change the world" from the "Bold Statements" Clear sentiment set. LOVE LOVE LOVE this set! So many fun sentiments that fit so many types of cards. Believe me it is a must.

Simple card, but it just feels so perfect!

Whimsy Stamps - Bunny Cuddles

Howdy -

How about a bit of Bunny Cuddles today?  This sweet little Bunny image from Whimsy Stamps is by Lee Holland and just gives you that warm hug feeling doesn't it?

Now I first started to make a 'love' card for like an Anniversary, but then saw the sentiment from Whimsy that just seemed to work perfectly as well. I colored with my copics (colors below) and then loosely cut it out and matted with the same dark brown card stock as the base. I found a pattern paper from SEI and then a shimmering pink metallic card stock.

I first used the new Whimsy Straight Edger Die set - love that!  Just gives that punched hint of the hearts at the base of the shimmering paper. Pulled out one of my favorite Whimsy dies Doodled doily die as a background to the image. A few dots of Viva Decor Pearl Pen in the corners, oh .. after sewing down my layers. Then for the sentiment that great Happy for you from the Clearly Bold Statements set - if you haven't taken a look at this set.. you must it is so fun!

Whimsy Stamps - Sweet Lovebirds

Howdy -

Today I adored coloring up Whimsy Stamps Sweet Lovebirds by Lee Holland. These couple of birdies are just precious!

After coloring up these peach faced lovebirds, I just couldn't find a pattern paper that did it justice, and worked with my colors. Then I decided that this image is one that I could practice my CAS work. Clean and Simple are just not words come easily to me. But this image felt it. I had printed on a cream card stock to color, then matched it up with dark brown card stock for the base with peach and brown mats. For the sentiment I had Whimsy Stamps Dies "Word Die Set Sympathy-Heartfelt-Condolences"

Whimsy Stamps - Teddy Christmas

Howdy -

Today I had some fun with Whimsy Stamps new image Teddy Christmas by Lee Holland.

Its been a bad week and one afternoon I was just feeling well at all and decided that some quiet time coloring would make me feel better. And coloring up a cute Teddy Bear just seemed even better. I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then added some Marvey Snow marker to the fluff on his hat. My papers are from Paper Studio's 12 days of Christmas.

I added a couple of die cuts - first the "Funky Christmas Tree". I love this die! so fun with cards, I added gold stickles to the star. Then the retired Merry Christmas.

Whimsy Stamps - 31 Nights of Halloween

Howdy - oh I mean.. BOO!

Today is my day to show off a card for the Whimsy Stamps 31 Nights of Halloween Blog Celebrations! It has already been so fun to see all the fun and scary cards this month being shared on the Whimsy Blog and we aren't even half way through!

Now I am more a cute Halloween card maker, so when I see images like "Kitten Halloween" from Lee Holland I just giggle. How can you not love a kitten coming out of a jack-o-lantern? Ok, maybe not on a scary night in the dark.. that wouldn't be fun to have a kitten jump out at you. But this kitten in the little smiling pumpkin is just adorable!

I colored with my Copics and found some fun autumn papers from BoBunny's Apple Cider collection. Matched up with a piece of apple green card stock it worked well. All layers with die cut are sewn in place and then for my sentiment... that was tough I wanted to cute but with a Halloween twist. Somehow I though "Peek A Boo" worked. Sort of Scary right? LOL I die cut out the letters with a favorite of mine Whimsy Shapeology's Brush Script Uppercase. Every one needs at least one .. or ten alphabet dies sets! So many uses for well anything!

Then for just a little more I added a few of the fun Whimsy Enamel Dots! Yes I am addicted to these!

Cute little Halloween card for someone special -

For my card stock I used a brown for the base and then an orange from coredinations as the mat. I sanded the edges a bit. For my sentiment I used Whimsy's Dies Brush Script Uppercase Alphabet, and spelled out "BOO" Love these letters! Then a couple of Whimsy's older retired Leaf Vine dies.
