I adore this Cupcake Bug .. I have to say he reminds me of the old fishing photos my hubby and his brother use to take... you know the ones where the fish really isn't that big.. but if you hold straight out as far as you can from you and then snap the photo straight on the "fish" looks huge? Well this image has that look to me! I stamped this out twice and cut out one of the cupcakes and pop dotted it... gives it even more of that huge look in person... but dork me forgot to take a side view photo to show that... oops sorry. Really it looks kind of neat. Colored with my Copics.. and stickled the wings. And take a look at the "Stamp" Stamps!! how cute are they? These of course are made to match Cupcake Bug and are called "Cupcake Postage" there are a whole bunch of them.. and even some blank ones for you to use your own stamps in... some of the DT have even been using them and making them have a real vintage look - just gorgeous!
I started out with a pale yellow card stock for my card. I punched the side of the card with a EK Success Wave border punch then used a piece of pink card stock to make the front match up with the back again. Does that make sense? I found a piece of DCWV Sweets pattern paper with little cupcakes on it, and it has a pretty glitter to it! Matted that on a piece of kraft paper. The sentiment is also from Alota Rubber Stamps and is part of a two piece sentiment set "Hey Cupcake and Sweet Cakes" I punched it out with a SU label punch. Doodled the edges a bit.
Matted my image with the pink card stock - oh but everything was inked with a light brown ink. and then I also added three pink dew drops on the image. Now how about that ribbon. It is so pretty... I just wish it was a little bit more vibrant. It is a pale yellow and pink. Cute though huh? From Debbie Mumm/JoAnn's just had to have it when I saw the cupcakes!
Well I hope you enjoyed my Cupcake Card - and I hope you have a wonderful Sunday! Me... gotta get going running late for our Sunday Breakfast with all the locals at the little country cafe....
