For this look I chose one of Stampavie's new Sarah Kay images. Just love these "new" look SK's. This one is "Josephine cuddling her pet cat Kiki" - really gorgeous, love Sarah Kay's hats and flowing hair, and now those wonderful fun fashions too!
Really wish I could look that cute in clothes like that! LOL For my card I stacked up Bazzil Dotted Swiss card stock with a peach colored card stock. To match the piece of pattern papers from K&Company. I wanted to keep the layout of the card simple - Cutting out my image with a oval, then matting with a Nestie label die. Wonderful border punch from EKSuccess across the middle. And for the girlie "vintage" feel I used adhesive pearls.
I have colored with my copics including making a "mat" around the edge with the same colors as I used for her sweater. Now I totally copied fellow Stampavie Dt member Tracey in popping her hat :0) I saw a card she had made with the new Sarah Kay's and loved how she popped the hat... I just had to do the same. Thanks for the inspiration Tracey!
A sentiment just didn't fit well on the front. So I decided to leave it without on the front, and decorate the inside with scrap papers and put my sentiment inside -
I think this sentiment is from CTMH... and think it is a wonderful sentiment for a card just to make someone smile.
Hope you enjoyed my Sarah Kay Vintage card - make sure to visit A Spoon Full of Sugar and see all the wonderful cards and projects from the DT, then join us for a chance at this weeks prize!
HUGS and have a wonderful Tuesday!
