Fintastic!

I knew as soon as I saw this Saturated Canaries image I HAD to have it! Made me laugh as soon as I saw it! Now the "Da Nuh" that was my addition... it fits the inside of my card :0)

You did see that there was  shark right? Oh wait we are mostly girls,.. so yes we saw it. LOL this image really just cracks me up. I will be really honest here. I started this card last week for the last challenge, but with all the animal emergencies I just didn't get it finished. But then I saw the new challenge and well... this one still fits! I have LOTS of Bling on this one! LOL

I used DCWV Denim Jeans collection for my papers. Love the real look of the papers. I sewed a couple of them together with a different stitch... I think it goes well with the image as well. I used a Whimsy Double scallop die and then added LOTS of red and clear adhesive bling around the circle. A red satin ribbon around the middle.

Now I know you have been waiting to see the inside right? I used just one piece of the pattern paper from the same collection and then a computer generated sentiment...

Ok, I thought it was funny? Would be perfect for that 30th, or 50th birthday don't you think? LOL

I am a little warped from time to time sorry :0)

So I am going to add this to the Saturated Canaries Challenge this week - Their challenge is to Bling it Out!

IT also works for this weeks Papertake Weekly Challenge - Anything Goes with and option of Glossy Accents.. (my water whoo hoo!)

And PaperPlay Challenge - this week is Happy Birthday... I think this is a birthday card right?

Hope you got a chuckle out of it :0)

have a great Monday! HUGS and

Hopes were High

Hello - Happy Sunday.

I have been just so excited and waiting for the ok to spill the beans :0)  I was chosen to join the Divas at HIGH HOPES!!!  When I saw the post saying they were looking to add to the DT I was so nervous to throw my name into the hat. You see High Hopes is like my first love. They were my first obsession in the big wide world of stamping. Way back when I first started surfing blogs and the internet shops I just totally fell in love with the High Hopes images. I think it was all the fabulous animals they do :0) And I have always had a soft spot for High Hopes ever since. So I gathered up my courage and jumped in. And then recently I got the email ... asking if I would like to join the team.  Well do Donkeys have long ears?? UH YES PLEASE!

Happy Dancing around ever since. So while playing yesterday I thought that this was a fun image to color and make a card.

This image just made me smile - "Party Cow"... and I love the sentiment "I've got the moosic in me!"

This cow knows how to boogie don't you think? LOL I colored up with my Copics and then did some shadowing with pencils. My pattern papers are all from KaiserCraft "Cock-a-doodle-doo!" pad. I have had this pad for a long time and never used a single page out of it. I love the country feel of the papers, but just never had the image to use with it. But I think that a dancing cow works well with it. I found a simple gingham ribbon to tie around the bottom. Other than that just some simple zig zag stitching. The paper has so much going on I think that it doesn't need much other for embellishments. I love that scalloped grass paper, I cut out one level and paired it up with the cloud paper for the perfect farming background paper!

I think I am going to do a little more dancing around myself now... I am so thrilled to be joining the High Hopes Divas! And getting to play with the fabulous HH images! You know they have more than one fabulous donkey images right?  OH you may want to visit the High Hopes Challenge blog and see my other new fellow Divas and the fabulous team we are joining!

So what are you doing this great Sunday? Me...  breakfast out with the locals. Then home and some outside time with some of the animals. A little quality taming time with the first few kitties that arrived yesterday... and then I think the afternoon - some baseball watching on tv and crafting.... that sounds like a great afternoon to me! Lets hope it works out that way :0)

Have a great day!

Animal Crackers - Does this shot make my...

Hi - Wow.. ok this week with the animals have aged me.  I will explain within the post....

All my photos this week were quick snapshots with my phone. But I did get a few good ones - this was my favorite all week :0)

I call this... Does this shot make my ears look big?
Hubby calls her Little Bitty One. Joephine or Josie... she is our perfect little girl. She has great "confirmation" and when you get a normal photo of her in the field, her proportions are is if you totally shrunk down a standard donkey. She has a stunning brown/red coloring and is a sweet spirit. I was sitting by the little girls pen "helping" Hubby with a project. When she came to the fence for a little attention. From the angle I was on this was my view. I love those donkey ears...

Tuco on Tuesday was fixed. And there were issues that would have caused a lot of problems later, so it was a really good thing we had him fixed, despite my tears not wanting to do it, I am so glad we went through with it... would have been really hard on the guy later.

This photo was snapped minutes after home from his day at the vet, he was soooo sad. I wanted to crawl into the pen and lay with him on his little fuzzy bed.

But no worries now. Other than trying to keep him calm and not playing with the other three... he doesn't seem to care that he has 4-5 inches of stitches on his belly. And doesn't seem to care that Doc said no running, rough housing, or playing this week. Now I know ... leave him in the pen and then he wouldn't be able to right? But I can't stand to hear him cry and believe me he cries loud and sad when we wants to. So we have just kept a VERY close eye on him and I think I have said about 457 times... "no running Tuco" And 342 time "Autie NO playing rough with Tuco" and then 1290 times "LIBBIE Leave Tuco ALONE!" She has this thing about chasing him, biting his back legs until he gives in and then flipping him over and attacking him. Chica.. she has been calm and good with him.

Here he is last night in the back yard, me explaining that he still needs to stay sitting next to me, not running the fence line.

Handsome happy face huh?

Baby Boy Goat Danny was my other panic attack this week, and I didn't get a photo of him... sorry. He somehow got a leg caught on a table and fell off and twisted his leg. When I got out there by the sounds of the screams you would have thought his leg came off where it was attached. I thought his leg was broken. I was freaking out... Hubby kept telling me to calm down and that we needed to remember that they are pretty tough animals and that we can't take him to the vet they were closed, and the next day was the 4th of July so we need just give him some meds, and watch him. I just look at him and say.... I don't care, he is my baby right now and he is in pain... what ever it takes.  I know he is right, but really when one of my babies is in pain all logic goes out the window. So we gave him some medicine and then just kept a close eye on him that night... next morning, a slight limp,  next afternoon very little sign of pain at all, that night... he was climbing the tree... sigh... kids.   Got up yesterday morning and Alice was holding up her back leg and hoping on three legs..... I think I have grey hairs coming in now.....  BTW... last night Alice was in the tree with Danny....

But how about a couple of goats that haven't given me any panic attacks this week?

Vera -

Pretty little Vera, I think she was smiling at me. She is still a little skittish, but really wants to get the scratches like the other girls so I think it is just a matter of days before she gives in and lets me rub her down. Alice was the same way... and now she likes my ear scratches.

Beautiful Gracie -

I call her my Million Dollar Baby. She is just stunning. Those eyes can melt you I swear. And no she isn't really worth a full million dollars... but she is probably the prettiest and if for sale would have been priced the highest for sure. But she was not ever for sale....

Ok... now the other aging factor in Hubby and I's life this week. More Hubby than me, but I was with him mentally, and emotionally all week, and did put in a little physical labor this week... Do you know what this is?

Hard to tell? I can see it... No Ideas?

Here it was last night, this is the view from off my back porch... OH I am soooo excited!!!

Now do you see it???  OH my I am really egg-cited!!!  Now you get it? YES finally I am gonna have one!

Hubby is bringing some cats from our business in town. We sold the property - and he has cats that have been there forever. They have gotten them all fixed and most of them were born there and totally rely on Hubby for food/water and care. If he leaves them, there will be nobody to take care of them. And honestly... Hubby can't leave them, he is very attached to them. You just think it is me that is the big softy... nope Hubby is way more emotionally attached.. hard to believe huh? I mean I am really bad about getting attached, but Hubby he is really the mushy one.

So we are going to bring them out to the farm - there are 10 of them. Yes I said 10...  We are going to bring them home and put them in this pen, with a little door to have shelter in the building. Then slowly we will be letting them out during the day, then as they get use the area we will let them have freedom and live all over the farm. Farm Cats... I pray they will all be safe, and learn to be tough farm cats.. catch mice, and other little bad things. But then... after the cats are done using the pen and the building... its real use will become reality. After YEARS of the promise of it.... I can then have CHICKENS! Yep! This is my new Chicken Coop and Chicken Yard!! We will be putting a chicken ramp up to a little door, hen boxes inside, and of course a wire top to the fencing... to keep bad creatures from climbing into the pen at night. I am so thrilled to finally see that one day soon I will have my own Chickens... for those yummy farm fresh eggs! Hubby then will add "and chicken" and I say... UH No... my chickens will have names. And as we all know, if you have a name you cannot be eaten. It is just the rule of how it is...

I'll leave today with another great photo I got  - I was out with the goats the other night, and looked up. And this was my view....

Love living in the country.... Gorgeous Sunset huh? And not too bad of photo considering I snapped it with my camera.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend and I hope you can sit somewhere and see a gorgeous sunset too.

HUGS and see you tomorrow... Very excited about my news that I will post!!!!

Just Magnolia and Hanglar Challenge - All the B's

Hi - this week's Just Magnolia and Hanglar Challenge is a really cool one I thought. At least different! The challenge is all the B's... what does that mean? To use as many things on your card that starts with the letter "B"... now I first started to go with a girlie card with lots of bling, butterflies and such. Then when going through my stamps I had a new Magnolia stamp that I had not inked up yet. I passed over it trying to find a flowing dress girlie Tilda... then I went back to it... hmmmmmm  it starts with a "B". So I decided to do something a bit different and go with it!

Get it? "BaseBall"! We love baseball around our house. I try and never miss a Yankee game! Go Yankees! And when I saw this Tilda with the bat on he shoulder I had to have it. I colored her up with more "Blue" than the white and red. I decided she was just finishing a game and gave her some dirt on her uniform. I added some Viva Decor Pearl Pen in a circle on the ground as the "BALL"... My papers... had lots of trouble there. then I ran across a piece of paper with the dictionary terms for all the "Beauty" words... and "Beautiful" written all over it. I also noticed a little "Butterfly" on a section, so I made sure that wasn't covered up.

Found some foam letters in my stash so I inked them to let them show up a bit more and spelled out "beauty". My scrap of Graphic 45 paper is "Blue" then I added three "Blue" "Buttons", and a satin ribbon and "Bow". I think I covered a fair amount of things with the letter "B"... at least I hope I did :0)

And then on the inside I used more scraps - that match the front.

I want to find a quote for the inside. Something about I see your beauty in any fashion, or no matter what you wear.. darn it I know I have read it and I will find it and put it inside :0)

So now if you pop on over to the Just Magnolia and Hanglar Challenge site you will see all the DT's "BEAUTIFUL" creations! Then join us Simon Says Stamps is giving a great gift certificate this week!! And I know we all love shopping there!

Ok, now off to get Friday going. This has just been a whirl wind week, totally run run run. We sold the property our business was on last week. And now we are trying to get things all completed and closed out... you would think that would be easy. But NOOOOOO  everyone wants things in writing now a days and all the information they can from me. I swear I thought about asking if they wanted to know what color my toe nail polish is... really, just close things down! But it is starting to all be final, and then we can move on to the next step of life. What is that you ask? No clue... LOL Oh we will still have our "farm" and the animals they are part of the family. But as for the rest... we are going to roll with it and see how things go. Speaking of the farm and the animals... just wait until tomorrow and you see what Hubby is building me :0) So excited about it!!!!!

See you tomorrow for Animal Crackers -  (Oh and Tuco is recovering pretty well... just need to keep him from running and playing to hard still)

Whimsy Stamps Challenge - Anything Goes

Sorry I went MIA for a couple of days - Monday was just busy busy here on the farm, and then yesterday we ran into town after dropping Tuco off at the Vet. I was nearly in tears... my little boy, well he will not be a daddy. YEP we did it, and it is really is a good thing we decided to cuz he had a issue with things that could have been problems in the future for the little guy. Despite my whining over not wanting to fix him, the Doc said he was glad we decided to now and all issues are corrected and he is good. So yesterday was me all a mess over my baby Tuco. But he is home and all though moving a very slow he is good. Now keeping him slow for as long as the Doc would like, well that is going to be hard. Why do they tell you to not let them run and jump for a week to ten days? Really... that is not easy especially with other dogs. But we will try...

Now for today's post - It is Wednesday and that we know is Whimsy Stamps Challenge day! Yea! And this week there is no excuses for not joining us! The challenge is Anything Goes! And since you can join us with any stamped image (we prefer to see Whimsy, but we love you just having fun with us), so pop you cards into the challenge for a chance at winning some Whimsy of your own :0)

Me ... well I was dying to use one of the brand new images, Party Animal! Maybe he is celebrating the 4th of July? Don't you just love him?  I adore all of Crissy Armstrongs images though... LOL  I have had so much fun with her other image Gift Horse... so I knew this was a winner too. I colored with my Copics - trying to work with the colors from my pattern papers -

My Minds Eye "Miss Caroline - Dilly Dally" - this little paper pad has almost seen the end. LOL That doesn't happen to often to me. Does it you? I mean usually I use maybe half, and then it sits on the shelf until I move things around, then it goes into a donate box. but there are those few collections that seems like all the papers in it are winners... well all of the My Minds Eye Miss Caroline collections are like that for me - I tried to match up colors then pick through what is left of the papers and create a layout. I sewed layers together and then tied a red rayon seem binding ribbon around the middle. Now the corner of my pattern paper had a red flower printed on it... but I needed more than just printed, so I punched out some flowers and leaves and put a brad through the middle. I also did some die cuts scrolls that I punched in black and then yellow then pieced them together, hard to see.. but they are there.

I did a simple inside from left over pieces of paper - all sewed down.

The inside sentiment is also from Whimsy - it is part of the Gift Horse Sentiment collection and I thought it fit our new Party Animal as well :0)

Please make sure to pop over to the Whimsy Stamps Challenge and see all the gorgeous cards from the DT this week - and then no excuses... join us!

Well today is the 4th of July - You celebrating with friends and family? On the Lake? Bar-B-Q'ing? Us.. no too much to do around the farm, normal chores and then our special project that is going on. I'll have photos on Saturday of that.. wink wink ;0)

Have a great day -
