Just Magnolias and Hanglars - Pink, Purple and Pearls!

There is a warning on my card for this weeks Just Magnolias and Hanglars Challenge... you see I misplaced my MoJo in my messy craft room. Buried it somewhere... and I worked on this very plain card for over 2.5 hours and nothing worked. So I finally decided that sometimes, it just has to be left alone and be simple. Cuz nothing else will work for you.

Loved the challenge and was very excited about it, Pink, Purple and Pearls. I had visions of lots of pretty flowers and pearls for a very girlie card. But due to my craft room being upside down and having to work on 1/10th corner of my craft desk, I just couldn't pull off my vision. So Simple it was.... and is.  And hey... it will mail in a envelope easy :0)

The papers are Prima Sweet Fairy papers. Really girlie papers here! I sewed down the layers - My image is colored with Copics and then shaded with pencils. I cut her out to make her pop more against the light pink pattern papers. A pretty light pink satin ribbon around as a band, with a pink bow and pink satin rose flower. I found these pink roses at JoAnn's really sweet roses. My sentiment is from OH My Word. Then for the pearls I added 6 adhesive pearls to the ends of the label die. Simple...

Here is a close up of the Hanglar image...
Just love pink and purple together - Such a girlie color combo!

Now for some truly gorgeous cards - pop on over to Just Magnolias and Hanglars challenge and see the other DT work! Those girls rocked this week!!

I made sure to write down all the colors of Copics I used for this one... and now I can't find it!! I know it is on my desk somewhere! If I find them I will add them - sorry.

Have a great Friday! HUGS and see you tomorrow for Animal Crackers!

Me and My Space - A total Mess!

ok - the room of shame! I told you yesterday that in cleaning out Hubby's room, that my craft room was a total disaster. Well to my embarrassment I am showing it to you!

Just as I said... 1/2 the room is puppy pen, and the other 1/2 is totally a disaster! My beautiful craft room totally disrupted in just a day! And the cause of all of this destruction????

There it is... see it in the corner. YEP.. my clothes hanging rack.. oops sorry treadmill. And yes I am seriously going to use it this time. It is going to stare at me and say horrible things to me while I sit at my craft desk if I don't. HA... sit at my craft desk! It is going to take me a week to find my desk and room again! LOL Still can't believe I showed it to you... LOL

So I am the last one this week to show you an organizational tip... I need help myself this week!
But I can zoom into the mess and show you a "personal item" that is too cute to not blow up for you :0) If you look close at the photo of the room... you see that Sweetie is trying really hard to get my attention.

She is just about to figure out how to escape... guess I better hurry and get my room all cleaned up and ready huh? :0)
Here is a photo I took of the two playing together. They are so funny they growl and bark - and then they run out of energy and just fall over asleep.

They got a new toy when I went to the grocery store the other day. Now I have to keep going and look for it and put it back into the pen with them. Autie - Chica or even Libbie keeps taking it out and running around the house with it.... a million toys themselves and they have to take the puppies! Kids.....

Well... now you see I have a big mess to work with today and probably a few days more. I hope to show you a much improved room next week  - the goal......

Spoon Full of Sugar - Color Combo - Pink and Brown

Tuesday's Spoon Full of Sugar Day! And the theme this week is a color combo! A favorite combo if you ask me :0) Pink and Brown!

I decided that Stampavie's Tina Wenke Tutu Cute image was perfect. I mean a tutu is usually pink right? So I went to coloring with my Copics. Pink ballerina with some brown boots!

My papers are from DCWV Rustic Stack. Love these papers, they have a vintage look, with lots of embossing and glitter. I sewed down my layers, and then added a Martha Stewart Border punch for the band across the middle. My image and my sentiment (one of the new $1.00 stamps I got a couple of weeks ago) are inked with Distress inks Tea Dye. And then matted and added to my card. I have been trying to keep some of my cards "flatter".

For easier mailing. Oh I totally adore LOTS of mulberry roses and large embellishments. But really, they do get hard to mail, so for this card I decided to cut out a few of the flowers from the stack - they match perfect in color cuz they are part of the collection. And I think they are just darn pretty too! I centered them with adhesive pearls.

Then for just a bit more bling. I stickled up that tutu! And her wings.
She really is precious - but I do love all of Tina's images! :0)

Now want to see more pink and brown? Make sure to visit A Spoon Full of Sugar and see all the DT's work. Then join us!

Ok... back to work. Cleaning our spare room and re-organizing Hubby's collection of books - well how come we are "cleaning" one room and now the rest of my house is a total disaster!! My craft room has been totally turned upside down!!! Yep... moving it all around to make room for our clothes rack.. ahem I mean treadmill... to come into my craft room. We needed to find a new place for it and for some reason seeing it is suppose to make me use it more? That is the plan but lets see... 3 feet from my treadmill is my craft desk, what would you want to do more? LOL

Have a great day! HUGS and-

Dust It Off Sunday - Dusted off some of my old stamps for new Homes

With all the special DT projects I have been working on this week I didn't have time again for my Dust If Off Sunday card... I was going to hurry through something and then decided it was time to dust off some of those old stamps I told you about. So instead of crafting, I have created a new page on my blog (tab at the top under the banner) for me to put stamps for sale.

These are a fraction of what I have to list... seriously... but it is a start and I will be able to see if anyone actually wants them. LOL I will remove them as soon as officially sold, and will sell to first emails in on each set.

The plan is to add to the page as often as I can and make some much needed room on my shelves - so there will be lots of new things there so pop back to it and see what is new from time to time.

I am getting a bit caught up now, so I should ..... should have my cards moving again!

HUGS and have a wonderful Sunday!

Animal Crackers - Quiet Peaceful Morning - and Jilly had her baby!

I just love spending time wandering from pen to pen visiting all my "kids". We normally do it in the evenings when it is cooler and we have time for everyone. But yesterday morning, everyone was out enjoying the nice morning. Hubby had gone to work, and I thought it was a nice time to go out and snap some photos for today. A quiet peaceful morning....

First I want to introduce you to our newest family member! Meet Louisiana "Louie" - Cutie huh? Jill went into labor one day this week... it was SO glad we were home. Hubby was actually out showing off his new Hay barn to the neighbor. When I looked out the back window and saw that Jilly was in labor in the middle of the pen. I flew out to the pen, Jilly's baby was breech. But I got out there, and helped him out a bit, and made sure he was breathing... yep ... he is tiny but healthy! We named him in honor of the neighbor that was here... from Louisiana...
Totally a cutie! He is just adorable. I know they all are :0) But Louie is so tiny...
His Mom Jilly is small too... that is one reason I was so worried about her first birthing. But after it all.. she has been a wonderful Mom. A bit confused at how to get around the pen and eat and keep her eye on him. But she is starting to figure out that "Mom's Call" and he knows his Moms voice and comes running!

Just as I was taking the photo of Jilly and Louie I noticed that everyone was watching me take the photos -
Lots of Goats.. I know... but all these boys will have to go as soon they are of age. Man won't that be a hard day!!

Fric and Frac ... I love them - Real fun boys! They bounce everywhere! I am going to visit a neighbor that raises the same goats. I want to see if she is willing to do a swap for a boy for a boy. Get some new genes in our pool... for all of Frankie's daughters -
Bo and Daisy these two are shadows of their older 1/2 brothers Fric and Frac. And yes... they have that bouncing down well too.. Here they had just figured out how to jump and get up on top of the barn. Very proud moment here! The high roof... the sound it makes when they jump all over the roof... over looking the yard... and the jumping off is a total adventure! Then we do it all over again!

How is this for a morning sun photo?
Love the morning sun rays, coming through the trees and over the little girls while they eat their breakfast!

Then I looked down the fence line - no need for trimming the trees here! They are trimmed up daily - They love new leaves! LOL
Then our "Spot" pen - Raffie and his ladies. Here Patti, Lacey and Vickie. Breakfast time here as well... and very important meal of the day for these pregnant ladies.

I was getting some profile photos of Yolanda - got a couple of great ones for her file. But I thought this one was funny... it was almost as if she said.. hold on Mom.. got to scratch!!! And then she went right back to her profile pose!
Went in for some puppy photos...  Autie just was still a bit tired.....
Getting photos of the puppies have been a chore! They are not easy to snap, they are always on the move!
Here is Puppy One... "Precious"  - she is so calm and loving.

Puppy Two - Sweetie, she is the more active, VERY active one. She is also the loudest of the two. She likes her new found bark, and she adores her little growl. Heck... I think I do too at this stage, it is just so darn cute! Now ask me again in a couple of weeks... and that may change ;0)

Ok, I have too many photos this week. But I had to show you how the barn is coming along. Hubby has really been working hard on our new hay barn. It isn't far from being done. Well this main part done. All it needs now is the two sliding doors, and the metal around the bottom. Then he will start on the attached cover areas. Each of the 4 sides, will have large covered areas for tractors and donkey shade. It is going to be wonderful!
Now I have taken lots of space and your time with lots of photos. :0) I really enjoyed it - hope you did too! I only took about 60 photos - so this wasn't bad to narrow down too.

Have a great weekend!  HUGS and-

Just Magnolias and Hanglars - A beautiful Sketch!

Happy Friday! Again the week just flew by... maybe cuz Hubby was home most of the week and if we were not working on chores we were on the go... Always on the go! LOL

The Just Magnolias and Hanglars challenge this week is a great sketch - I went through some of  my older Hanglars. And found this cutie that someone sent to me stamped out. Thinner paper than I am use to but I went for it and for some reason I thought this would be a good image to try out coloring black hair... man that is tough!!! I really struggle with it. After about 400 layers of ink I settled on this. It still isn't looking like I want. But it is a better black hair than I have done before.
Ok now someone tell me what she is sitting in? I get the wooden box, but after staring at it for a while I decided cotton.... but why would she be sitting in raw cotton? LOL Oh well... cotton it is here.  I colored with Copics -
For my images I went through my scraps - and found some Graphic 45 and Webster papers, I just love blue and red. Denim and red really - I followed the sketch, and sewed all my layers down. Then added mulberry roses, and Martha Stewart Frond leaf punches. My sentiment is from OH MY Word. - easy peasy! Card went pretty fast, and I just love the dark rich colors -

Make sure to pop over to Just Magnolias and Hanglars to see all the DT's creations with the same sketch. Love how different they all come out! :0)

Lots on the to-do list today! So up early and off running.... chores chores chores! That way I can play a little on the weekend! LOL What is on your weekend list? Hubby has to work Saturday, so I am thinking maybe some crafting for me. Then Sunday we are painting the spare room and building the Ikea bookshelf we got -

Me and My Space - More Stamp Storage, those that come with CDs.

Hello - ok, so last week I showed my Clear and Unmounted stamp storage, but I do have  another place I keep those Clear stamps that come from companies in CD's. Mainly Papertrey Ink brand. I have gotten so addicted to these stamps, and I especially love those that have matching die cuts!

But first let me show you how I store them.
This is one of my Walmart CD storage boxes that I have shown before, they line the top of my desk and I keep all kinds of things in them. Copic refills, Stump stamps... and other things. But this one has CD's in it! Just like intended.
Here the box is open, and you can see the edges have the Papertrey labels on them, with the name of the stamps. I have worn off some of the names, so I had to write in on some of them. This works so well to find each set easily...

So I have pulled out one of my favorites to show you something else...
This is Friendship Jar set -

All safe inside the CD.... This set has a matching die cut set....
On the back side of the CD I have attached a strong magnet - and I keep the dies attached to the actual set they match with! Now.. small little dies sometimes will fit in the CD with the stamp set, but these larger ones do not - so because they are safe inside the box, this works out perfectly for me. And I don't have to go and look for the die to match the set!

Oh.. guess I should fess up... I have a second box started since my first one is full :0)

So there is my some of sets in CD's .... works out well for me, and everything is safe. I use to keep all of my unmounted and clear stamps in CD's it is a great system for sets, and when you don't get out of control with stamps. I have a large box on the shelf I have shown in the past with stamps from years ago that I don't use often. Sad.... I just have too many. I need to go through them and have a sale huh? I just don't know if people would want my old stamps I guess... I'll think on it.

Now for my personal item of the week... I looked around my craft room and well most of my favorite things I have shown you, I decided to step out of my room and go down the hallway to show you something really special to me. REALLY special.

I have told you that I lost my Dad to cancer in 2000 - we all miss him terribly. He was a graphic designer. He was an artist that did ads by hand, and then trained himself to the modern world of computer graphics - He was really talented in both, he got really great at the the computer stuff. I have been blessed to have some of his early art from local adds.
As you can probably tell these are ads from department stores, I just adore these! These date from his earlier days - late 1960's or early 1970's... Don't you just adore these fashions!
Just gorgeous! He could draw these up in seconds, and if I know my Dad he would roll his eyes that I framed them and hung them in my house - these were not his "best" work. Just "Ads". But I totally love them! They make me smile and feel closer to my Dad.
Hubby and I always comment how so many of them have that "Jackie O" look to them. If you look at their faces, they do... they all sort of look like her! LOL

Hope you enjoyed seeing them. Maybe I'll branch out into my house and show you more of my favorite things that are special to me from other areas :0)

Have a wonderful Wednesday! HUGS and -
