Animal Crackers - Cute

Howdy -

Still on standby waiting for babies around here. Chloe is still looking like she will have her first. Milk bag is huge. But no one has had decided it was time to deliver yet. Not that I can blame them... cold rainy weather isn't great for having babies... but at some point choice isn't an option right? LOL I am just anxious and wanting "kids"!

So we will just show off some cute!

First I wanted to show off the "twins"... now these girls are months apart, and only 1/2 sisters. But seriously from a distance these two Lizzy and Thelma are impossible to tell apart. LOL

When they look right at me the patterns on their face is a bit different. But other than that... Twins! Love these girls...

Thelma's Sister Louise is a looker too though...

Now that she is getting older she is really starting to show some coloring. The grey spots are starting to show. A beautiful girl solid white or with those amazing little grey spots. She still the smallest of the kids even after a 1/2 year.

Now Thelma's sister is also a looker...

My spoiled little bottle baby Jackie. My special baby such a sweetie. We have been blessed with some beautiful blue eyes with the last few groups of babies. Hope the next group shares the blessings....

And even though he isn't one of the kids anymore... Frankie is still a looker too. Cute beyond words.

My old man... but always a kid at heart. :0)

Update on the chickens...

The egg count is doing fabulous. We went from one zero to one egg a day to now getting 6-7 eggs a day! From 12 chickens that is pretty good! Heck one day we had 10 eggs!! I have even heard Hubby out there praising the girls and telling them how wonderful they are. A long way from the warnings of "dinner"... lol and no there was never any chance of that.

Miss Libbie was sitting out by the gate waiting for her "Daddy"...

Hubby was out working and had started to make his way back up the path towards the house. Libbie likes greeting Dad when he comes back in. Now that could be when he is gone all day or could be when he is gone 5 minutes... LOL Love the way time stands still for them when we are gone.

Hope you have a wonderfully blessed weekend.

High Hopes Stamps - Bedelia Butterfly Birthday

Howdy -

I think that this time year the best way to warm up and feel Spring is to color it up! And I just love High Hopes Stamps Bedelia Butterfly!

Colored up Bedilia with my Copics (colors below) and then found some pretty papers from Dovecraft Sweet Paris collection. Love the papers colors. I dug deep into the punch drawer and found an older Martha Steward scalloped heart border punch.

All the layers are sewn down, and then I found three great vintage old buttons in a jar of estate buttons I purchased years ago. Just love using old found things! Especially buttons.

The sentiment is "Bold Happy Birthday" also a fabulous High Hopes Stamps.  Such a great fun font.

Inside my card all the same papers.

Animal Crackers - Happy New Year!

Howdy -

Happy New Year from all of us here at Animal Crackers. It is officially 2016 now and I have the resolution to not take a month or more to remember to write 2016 on things! LOL

For the first post of the year I wanted to share some fun photographs from last weekend. Love sharing my children. Those faces just love attention and especially love the attention when carrots are also involved! Last weekend we had some friends come out to visit. And the girl donkeys were really happy to see them and the carrots!

Macie and Jazz were making their sweet faces for a photograph!

These two old ladies are just beautiful! Macie and her big brown eyes and Jazz with that gorgeous red fur. Love them.

Lacey, Vicki and Felicia were lined up.... not that they were begging for those carrots or anything.

Vicki cracks me up... that girl no matter what will look at me and the camera. I think she likes having her photograph taken. My little super model.

Front line for the carrots here... Juliet of course was the largest moocher, and did get more than her share due to her being heads above the other girls shuffling for space at the fences. And BTW... check out Vicki on bottom left... yep looking at me and the camera. Ha!

And again.... she is trying hard to get the next carrot out of the bag... focus... focus on that carrot... oops Mom has the camera out again....

Love my children so much they all have such different and wonderful personalities.

They are a true joy and blessing... and love their carrots!!

Hope you are having a wonderful New Year holiday - Animal Crackers is looking forward to another year of sending you a few smiles each Saturday.

Whimsy Stamps - Hay, Whatzup, Buttercup

Howdy -

AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! Welcome to 2016.... I sat down to work on a card for today's post, and for some reason since I ended 2015 with a cow... I thought I would start this new year with one as well... LOL

One of my favorites - "Hay, Whatzup, Buttercup" from Whimsy Stamps and Crissy Armstrong Collections

Just love this one - I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then to match up with the papers from Dovercrafts Curiosity Corner collection I used Ranger Distress Ink to age the edges. I sewed down layers of the pattern papers, and cut out some of the doily pattern for the corners. Then I added the die cut "friend" also from Whimsy it is the Large Friend Die.

Then I added three Gumdrop dots for a little more embellishment. Love the warmth this card has and it is perfect to send to a friend needed a little smile through the mail.

Inside the card more of the same papers -

Hope you all have a wonderful safe and blessed New Years day - A wonderful day to spend in the craft room wouldn't you say?

High Hopes Stamps - I've Got the Moosic in me!!

Howdy -

Hope you all had an amazing Christmas! Now we are all gearing up for the New Year - and I thought that High Hopes Party Cow was just perfect to end 2015 and bring in 2016!

"I've got the moosic in me!" Now that is a Party Cow!! I colored with my Copics and then found some perfect paper from Farm House Paper. Some older Bazzil Navy blue dotted swiss card stock and cream card stock just matched up well. I matted the cow with the dotted swiss card stock, and found a corner punch in my drawer to hold the cow in place. You know those Party Cows they will try and Mooooove around! (I know really bad huh?) While digging in my punch drawer I found a Fiskars punch with music notes... wow didn't remember I had that one and it was perfect for the embellishments. The High Hope sentiment "I've got the moosic in me!" is just the perfect match for the Party Cow.

Inside more of the same papers and musically note punches.

Had lots of fun putting this one together.

Have a safe and Happy New Year and make sure to Get a Little MOOOOSIC in YOU!

Animal Crackers - Merry Christmas

Howdy-

And Very Merry Christmas from all of us here ...

I thought I would first share this years Christmas Card. Now I will admit this is the latest that I have ever done my cards. I was mailing them out just a few days before Christmas this year. Now next year I really need to get them going earlier and out much earlier!

I do hope that you all had a wonderful day - Libbie enjoyed her Christmas present....

All three doggies got new beds for Christmas, and Chica and Autie have used their beds too... just not like Miss Libbie, she LOVES it!

Now everyone else has been a bit lazy this week. Warm weather and they have been really enjoying it.

Sandy was out cold snoozing....

Well until she heard me and then she popped up and was up and calling out for attention and scratching.

Guineas were still eating but was still being a bit lazy....

The boy goats were really were lounging in their new pen, but by the time I got to them to snap... they were up and running.

Hank is such a sweetheart. Love that guy.

Not too many photos this week. Holiday and all... but looking forward to a New Year coming up and LOTS more Animal Crackers to share!
