Whimsy Stamps - August Release - Kitties on Halloween

Howdy -

Yee Haw! New Release at Whimsy Stamps for August! And we are getting into the fun fall images. I chose to work one of Crissy Armstong's sweet images. "Kitties on Halloween"

Love these two kitties. I colored with Copics (colors below) I wanted to keep it a bit simple so the image shows off - I found some older DCWV halloween papers to match up to some orange card stock. Fun papers that have some glitter to them.  I sewed with a shiny black thread. Then I added three orange buttons and one scary green spider button. Boo!

The copic colors used -

High Hopes Stamps - Lucy's Lambs

Howdy -

I am having so much fun looking through some of my older favorite High Hopes Stamps! This one is one of my "farming" collection - Love my country farm stamps from HH!

This is Lucy's Lambs -

Adorable right? I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then found some older papers from my stash. These are from Farm House Country Kitchen collection. Matched up with red card stock - and then went a bit nuts with red thread and my sewing machine. Punched out the EK Success tag and used the sentiment "Just because!" also from High Hopes! A few leaf punches and some mulberry roses to finish it off. Adore the country feel!

Here are the Copic colors I used-

 Hope you enjoyed it -

Animal Crackers - Time with the Boys

Howdy -

Yesterday Hubby and I headed out to the far pen to have some serious head scratchin' time with the boys.

Here Hubby... or sorry "Dad" was having a talk with the two youngest in the pen, Patricio and Flavio. Not sure what the topic was, but it looks like Pat wasn't listening. Flavio was very into it all though.

I am also not sure what is going on with my camera.... all my photos are a bit artsy looking today... oh my hope I just hit a wrong setting on my camera... LOL

Flavio turned to look at me and say... are you making sure to get my cute side?

Yes.. Flav, you are a handsome boy, and despite you being so skittish for a while you have become a sweet and very good looking grown up!

Love that dark nose with the grey. Bit of a little gut there, but can't do much about that... he is living on lots of green grass!

Here Patricio was coming to say hello to me... love this little guy!

A true looker for sure. Looks just like his Dad, Black Jack. Stunning color. And he is beyond sweet! This guy LOVES nose to nose rubs.

Got a cute photo of Coffee...

He has the nick name ears - he really has stunning coloring and that dark coloring with that bright white eyes and nose. He is so sleek and shiny too... gorgeous.

Couldn't get Rico to come to me. He did pose though...

I see a bubble of talk above his head... "Really you want me to leave all this green grass and walk all the way across this pen to you... uh no... grass is really great here" Not complaining at all Rico... we are very blessed to have so much green grass in August!! Been a long time since end of summer and we still have so much green!

Again sorry for the really odd photographs... going to have to check the settings on the camera and pay closer attention. I was enjoying the boys too much and not looking at my camera at all. Guess I should have said it was an artsy thing this week and I meant to do that... LOL

Have a wonderfully blessed weekend!

Whimsy Stamps - Hugs n' Fishes

Howdy -

How about a little Hugs n' Fishes today? LOL this is a new image from Whimsy Stamps and artist Krista Heij-Barber and it just makes me giggle - HUGS n' Fishes

I colored with my Copics ( colors below ) and then found some papers from My Mind's Eye On Trend collection. Love the gold dots. I matched it up with the peach and cream card stock papers. I sewed down the layers, then went to look for something different. Didn't feel like flowers with the fish and the under water scene. Then I found the EK Success chain punch and created a border around the image. Three dots of Viva Decor Cream Pen. I added some Ranger Stickles for some water bling.

Inside the same papers.

Make sure to pop over to the Whimsy Stamps store to see LOTS of fabulous new things and TONS of Fabulous older images to choose from. And the Whimsy Stamps Blog to see lots of great inspiration with the new stamps.

High Hopes Stamps - Herbie

Howdy -

Hard to believe we are already into August! And now we are moving into Fall. So looking forward to Fall!! Changing colors.. cooler temps and all the fall traditions. Like all of the great county fairs! And I think High Hopes Herbie just won blue ribbon for some really beautiful chickens.

Doesn't Herbie look like he is so proud of his winners!  I colored with my Copics (colors below). I found some papers from BoBunny's Juliet Collection. One of my favorite with the rich warm colors. I sewed the layers down and matted and used a dark blue card stock as the base. Three dark blue buttons and then I used the High Hopes Stamps sentiment "Happy Fall Y'all!"

Inside the card more of the same papers -

I hope you enjoyed Herbie and his chickens. And please make sure to visit the High Hopes Store and see all the wonderful fun Fall images! The country images and fall images are what drew me personally into High Hopes Stamps and then I was hooked!

Animal Crackers - Gobble Gobble Gobble

Howdy -

This week you will have to allow me to get excited over seeing a few feathered friends yesterday....

Hubby and I were on our way home from the feed store yesterday and I screamed to stop just before our road.... Gobble, Gobble, Gobble!!

It was a large group of young turkeys!! All different colors - I was facinated with the white one. Never seen a white one in the wild. Maybe he was a generation of some escaped turkey long ago? Not sure. But he was pretty. It was a bunch of them and all though they weren't super skittish, I zoomed in as much as I could so they wouldn't jump up and run into the brush. Some of them were so comfortable lounging in the sun, so didn't want disturb them. Sooooo fun to see!!

One more just cuz they are fun!

Now I think I have been whining a bunch the last few weeks about heat and it getting really dry here... Well feast or famine!

This is our driveway and field next to it.  And this is our front pasture...

In three days time we got right at 6 inches. Love it! I know it sounds crazy but after only one day I think things are greener!! Happy animals around here!

Now speaking of happy... I got a little bit of a smile caught in a photograph of Moxie. Cracks me up that this girl will smile at me!

Isn't her biggest smile, she really shows teeth when she is smiling. But I just can't capture it with a photo! She sees the camera and bam... smile is gone!

Now this one made me smile!

I had to zoom a ways here too... if I walked too close they would all run at me for head scratches and attention. These goats are way too funny... you see "we" don't want to get our feet wet on this barely soggy ground under their hut. And we don't want to stand out in the sun... so they guys pushed their spool under the hut! Now in reality they were probably just butting heads with it and it ended up under there totally by accident, but I like to think they thought the whole plan out and worked out a solution to their soggy feet! LOL

One last photo... My girl Gato -

She is so tough sometimes to get photos that shows off her big green eyes. Well here she didn't blink!

Love this kitty...

Hope you got a smile this week! Gobble Gobble!

Whimsy Stamps - Ice Cream Love

Howdy -

What a "sweet" image! "Ice Cream Love" from Whimsy's Mi Ran Collection.

Such a cute image don't you think? I colored with my Copics (colors below) and matched up the colors with the papers from My Minds Eye In Trend collection. I sewed all the layers down with a light green thread. Added a satin ribbon, Martha Stewart Frond and leaf punches, white mulberry flowers I colored with a Copic to match, and then a button.

The sentiment is from the paper collection, thought it was cute with the ice cream image.... they just might be having a little mint ice cream... LOL

Inside more of the same papers -

Copic colors used... well one fell out of the photo... B0000 :0)

This one was fun to color up... and it kept me busy during a really bad thunderstorm with no power. Good think I was getting some light through the window to see....

Hope you have a wonderfully blessed day -
