Whimsy Stamps Inspiration - Hey Chickie!!!

Totally fell for this little chick! This is one of Whimsy Stamps new images from Miss Rach Digitals - Aussie Kiwi Chick

Isn't she cute? I colored with Copics (colors below) Pulled out papers from My Minds Eye Pretty Things collection. I figured that chicks are country and the country feel of papers seemed right.  The Sentiment is also from Whimsy - the Cute and Cuddly Set.  Then I added some ribbon and lace. Love that lace... Whimsy again. I am sure you have seen me go on and on about the adhesive lace from Whimsy. you must get some... HERE. But you better hurry as it is on the 40% off clearance sale. I need to fill up my stash first though....

Whimsy Stamps Challenge - Summertime!

Howdy -

Today the Whimsy Stamps Challenge is Summertime. My image made me smile and I think has a summertime feel to it -

This is "Hula Crab" - by Miss Rach Digi's. Love it! Makes me smile and want to do a little dance!

I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then I printed out out the Summertime Sentiments from Whimsy and then colored up the Fun in the Sun with the same colors.

My papers are DCWV - have lots of color to them, and I took the doodle sewing from the pattern paper and did some doodling around the image and sentiment to match. A orange dotted ribbon around as a band with a bow, and then three dots of Vivia Decor black Paper Pen. Love that stuff. Then I decided that the sand the Crab is dancing in needed some life. So I used Diamond Stickles on it.

Whimsy Inspiration - Grumpy Cat

I had this card scheduled for last week, and something in computer land went wrong. Imagine that - So here is my inspiration card for Whimsy Stamps -

This little kitty cracks me up - His name is "Grumpy Cat" by Miss Rach's Digital Collection. 

He is just too cute! I colored with my Copics (colors below)  I wanted a simple card to mail easy as a "Missing You" type of card. Don't he look like he is sad and missing someone?

Papers are from my scraps - I found a black ribbon with white stitching. White was way way too white, so I colored it with the same copics as the back ground of the kitty. Dotted some Viva Decor Paper Pen on the top right corner then added a sentiment "Miss You" from Miss You collection   Wonderful digital Sentiment Collection to have LOTS of good choices.

This one was fun to do - Things are so busy around here that these fun more simple cards are working well for me.... and I love that they are so much easier to put into an envelope. Hate the look that postal lady gives me when my envelopes are big and lumpy. I love lots on cards, and big lumpy... but well... these are just really nice to work with too.

Need to get my chores done early today... I am spending lots of time out with the little chicks in their new pen. They seem to be really enjoying the room and running all around!

Whimsy Stamps Challenge - Anything Goes!

Howdy -

Today is the Monthly Whimsy Stamps Challenge and this month it is an Anything Goes Challenge. Easy this month huh? Was good for my since my brain is mush... and I a bit sore. You see... I am a klutz and with the no depth perception it adds to the accident prone dork that I am. Yesterday I decided to totally miss a curb. Right foot found it fine. Left foot didn't do so well with the height... So me, my drink and an ice cream went flying across the sidewalk, landed on my knee then hit the wall. Was so graceful let me tell you. OH no worries I am fine, could have been much worse and I could have broke something, but just some scrapes and bruises and old body aches. Hubby really worries about me and I tell him to stop I am just fine... then I go and do dumb things like miss a curb. Duh.... OH well I thank God I am not hurt too bad and now on with life.

As soon as I saw this image I had an idea for this card. A fast card that could really be versatile. This is Zebra Hugs from Miss Rach's Digital Collection

I loaded the image into Adobe Photoshop and printed it in a medium brown color. I printed onto a card stock matching the dotted pattern paper....

Now my thinking is, how darn cute would this be for baby shower invites? You could even do them in different colors, just match up the papers... print on pink with pink dots! I added a satin ribbon, then added some Viva Decor Paper Pen Brown Dots in the corners. Seriously fast card. And I love it.

Was so excited I forgot to photo the inside of it. oops.. But it is exactly the same as the front but no zebras inside.

Whimsy Stamps Inspiration - Autumn Mouse

Howdy -

Got a little me time last night to sit and color and craft. I had printed out a couple of the new Digital images from Whimsy and had fun just coloring and playing - And this little guy was the first one I "HAD" to do.

Adorable huh? "Autumn Mouse" from Miss Rach Digital Collection. Love the new Whimsy images from Miss Rach. I colored with my Copics (colors below) then cut out with a circle Nestie. I found some papers in my stash with the Autumn feel to them. Layered them and Tied a ribbon around the middle. I used a black Viva Decor Paper Pen to make some brad looking dots, then I doodled around the circle.

So what is on your plate today? We had a bunch of errands to run, a few estate sales I wanted to go to. We are still discussing what we are going to end up doing. Front is coming in the weather is suppose to be nasty. I am starting to think that it might be a great day to clean my craft room and do some crafting. Sound like a great plan to me - wonder if I can talk hubby into that? LOL

There is all the info - now here is my card for the hop!! This card has a purpose when I was making it. This week was my SIL's birthday... and I thought she would love a sweet donkey card ;-)

This is a new artist - Miss Rach Digis - and this adorable little donkey is called "Donkey Friend"  makes me giggle  - 

I colored with my Copics (colors below) I then picked out papers from the Carta Bella Paper Pad "Giddy Up" Papers that are so "me". Wonderful rich western colors. I then die cut out a Papertrey Ink Picket Fence twice.  Sewed down all the papers, glued down the fence. I then die cut out some leaves and punched out some Marvy tiny flowers. Centered them with Gold Vivia Decor Paper Pen. For the sentiment - FUN FUN FUN sentiment - Whimsy's "Happy Things Pennants" I colored the pennants in red and blue - 

This one makes me "happy" ! Hope it makes my SIL happy too!
