Whimsy - Women Know the Score!

Howdy -
I sat down yesterday to de-stress and do some coloring. I guess there is just too much going on. MoJo was just not working. Ever have one of those sessions? You know where nothing seems right. That was me yesterday. Oh I enjoyed the coloring... but didn't feel like any papers or embellishments were working. Well it was some down time and that I needed -

Ok, so the image is wonderful, I love the Marika Collins images - and Baseballer is one of my favorites. She is pretty but looks like a tough player don't you think?

I colored with my Copics (colors below) My papers are from Farmhouse. The FABULOUS sentiment is also a Whimsy - City Talk. Really fun sentiments. Then my ribbon... adore this ribbon. Whimsy too!!  You can find them HERE they are from Pink Petal Designs - gorgeous colors of hand dyed ribbon!

Here are my Copic Colors -

So what is going on in your world today? Us.. we are setting up for a Doll Show on Saturday. Yep.. Hubby is just really excited about doing this one! LOL But we should do pretty good there I hope. Between my antique Dolls and the New fashion dolls and collector dolls from the Estate I am selling right now. I have LOTS to sell that is for sure!

Well better get my dolls all in a row! I'll snap a photo to show you our booth :0)
See you tomorrow -

High Hopes - Flowers!

Howdy - Today is the High Hopes Challenge, and this week it is a pretty easy one if you ask me. ;0) Some weeks I think that is really a good thing. This was one of those weeks.. LOL BUSY BUSY BUSY! And it was wonderful to sit down the other evening for a little while and have some fun and not stress. And Flowers is one of those things that I know we have a TON of and love to use.

I was just dying to color up the new two by two image - Skyla and Stretch, I totally fell in love with these two when I saw them.

I colored with my copics, sorry I thought I snapped the photo of the colors and it wasn't on my camera. I then found papers that had similar colors in them... giraffe colors are not easy to match you know. But  I found the Basic Grey Lucille collection was perfect. I matted a few of the pattern papers on a piece of core'dinations blue/green coloring card stock, ran a piece of satin ribbon around and tied a bow.

My sentiment is a sizzix die from the card maker die set. I always forget I have these dies, then I run across them and get all excited and use them... then they get buried again and forgotten. Sad.. but I guess it is a little like finding them new each time.. LOL I added some Viva Decor Glitter pen to the white cut out Happy Birthday. Then I found three mulberry roses in the deep red/orange shades. Added some Martha Stewart branch punches and some more glitter pen.

Inside is mostly all scraps from the front.
I think I spent maybe an hour tops on the entire card - And it relaxed and made me feel so good to take the time to color. I told Hubby that I miss coloring every evening... he said then I should just do it. UH yea... lately I fall into bed after midnight still behind from what I needed to get done that day! But as long as I can have a little coloring time a couple two or three nights a week I think I may stay sane. Maybe.

Now you need to Click on over to the High Hopes challenge blog and see the other DT's flower in their projects. Then please do join us and have some fun for a chance to win more High Hopes!

Now I am out the door early today to get over to the storage unit of the Estate that I am working with. I am selling an estate for a lady. An estate that has been packed away for many years. Sorting it and cleaning it all is a BIG job. But it is really awesome stuff and I feel honored that she chose us to sell it all for her. I promise once I get more of it sorted and organized to show off some of the items. I have been in awe of what comes out of some of the boxes.

Hope you have a great Tuesday -

Animal Crackers - Loving the weather!

Howdy! I don't know what the weather is like where you are - but the past few days here have been absolutely gorgeous! And all the animals are really enjoying it! Not to hot, Not to Cold and just a tiny bit of a nice breeze. Yep that was exactly what it was like yesterday afternoon when I went out to get some hugs and snap a few photos.

First I caught "Dad" (Hubby) loving on Marissa. They love face rubs. But I love the look on Marissa's face! "Uh hello...DAD... Mom is taking my photo, I need to smile here!"  LOL

But she stayed still and enjoyed all the face rubs and hugs -

I turned around and found that Peso was posing and enjoying the sun and breeze.

The boys all love to perch up on their huts and watch over all of the goats. It is their mountain top I guess. Each of the "men" have the same hut. We wouldn't want one of them to have a larger hut and be higher up would we?

I looked two feet to my right and...

And my shadow was right there with me. LOL Ted was following me from pen to pen. Not that they are showing off to everyone that they have the freedom to do that or anything. But I guess here his head was getting heavy, so he was leaning on the fence to rest. He has more personality than he knows what to do with... LOL

Found a few of the mini's just standing and enjoying the sun.

Toffee actually is the neighbors that we are sitting for. Him and Coffee "Ears".  But it seems as if for the past week or so that Toffee isn't the normal shadow of Coffee like he is 24/7, nope we have noticed that he has left his buddy and has been spending all of his time hanging with Lina and Gloria. I think he has a crush on one of the girls.. heck maybe both :0)

Snapped a quick photo of Lady Di standing with her Mom Lucy. Now that they are over 2 months old they are advertised and many of the babies are for sale. But we just are not getting the calls like normal. We are off a little this time I think. Just a bit early... its ok with me though. Oh I know I have to sell some of the kids, but honestly this time I just am having a hard time deciding who out of the girls.

We usually pick a handful of the best gals to keep for breeding in the future. And this time it isn't easy to decide, boys yes.... I am drilled that lecture all the time. Boys need to go. But with girls this time they each have a little special look to them. And in reality they are just now starting to show some of their true coloring. Lady Di was mostly white at birth... and look at her now! She is really starting to turn into a looker isn't she? Love that spot on her nose.. LOL

Miss. Belle. She is our Mom that almost didn't make it if your remember. She had a really tough birthing, really horrible. And we think that she may have had a bit of a stroke - she is doing great and seems healthy and does well. But once  in a while you just see this look.

A look as if there may be just one or two screws loose. It is all ok though. We love her to pieces and she has warmed up to us and actually loves attention now. Pretty little lady - and she has her Dad's beautiful ice blue eyes. Love that.

Speaking of blue eyes... or eye.

Tuco or any of the dogs wouldn't stand still at all for photos this week. They too were enjoying the sun and the cool breeze. Running all over the yard - barking and letting everyone in any direction know that they were outside. Just as Tuco was passing in front of me I called his name and for once in about 3 million photos I have tried to get a good photo of him passing by looking up... I finally snapped just perfectly and got him looking up and smiling at me. That handsome face, wonderful smile and those great eyes.. one blue and one brown. One from Mom and One from Dad. This guy honestly is 50/50 of both in all ways :0) And we totally love that!

One more this week - You may have remembered a few weeks back I snapped a photo of Gato in one of the little doll beds that I had purchased to resell. A sweet little wood bed that was almost too small for her. Well it is her bed and she loves it, no I didn't sell it. I just couldn't take it from her. But now....

Well I found the fabulous antique Brass Doll bed. It is big - and had a nice mattress, with sheets, a blanket and a pretty little quilt and matching pillow.  Yes.. Guess who is thinking that it was another purchase just for her. LOL Sorry Gato... this one cost me a little more so it is for sure going to the next antique show for sale! She is so funny... there are actually three beds in the living room right now. Her original - the huge brass one and then one iron bed that happens to be right in the middle in size. We have been calling her our little Goldilocks - she moves from bed to bed, enjoying each of them. But for her long slumbers she always goes back to her original little bed.

So whats up in your day? Us... blah.. grocery store, then home for some much needed chores. Average blah stuff - thats ok, it is a weekend at home and that part we will enjoy. I think I will try this afternoon to spend some time sitting out in the goat pens... enjoying the kids and bonding :0) Hope you have a fun day planned -

But before you go... here is my card - I fell totally in love with Liastampz gorgeous new image "I Love You" - it reminded me so much of a vintage valentine.

Adorable isn't he? I just adore him. I colored with my Copics and matted him with a Nestie die. My papers are all My Minds Eye "Love Me" collection. You loving that vintage lace across the middle? Totally was thrilled to get that! WHIMSY! Yep, that is some of the ivory "Lovely Tape" that is available in the store. Fabulous handmade looking lace on a roll... with adhesive already on it! Love it!

My sentiment is a Whimsy as well. Definitions Notables 4 - They are fun sentiments, and great that there is a matching die to fit them! All the Notables at Whimsy are like that - so easy to use.

My inside is simple, and all from the leftovers from the front.

Animal Crackers - An Evening around the pens

Howdy -
Last night just as the sun started to set Hubby and I went around to have some quality time with our children. I love hugs and chatting with the animals at this time of the day. Mornings they really could careless about wanting love. They just want breakfast and now!! Now of course they are the same way at the end of the day, but usually they will pause enough for hugs and a few photos. Until they see Hubby get closer to the hay barn... then they all start screaming cuz they know Super is coming soon.

First photo up is one of my favorite. Macie and her first baby...  Angelina "Lina".

I can't believe that Lina is almost 5 years old! Does she have her Mom's face or what? Always have said that Macie has the most beautiful eyes of all the ladies. Well Lina and her other daughter Felicia have those same big brown eyes with the long eye lashes.

Got a photo of Miss Gabby (Gabriel) - She is super friendly, and most importantly she is super healthy!

If you remember, Gabby was my sick baby. The one that ran temperatures of 114! She actually spent a day here and there in the house with air conditioning when she was so little. Well she has grown up and her internal thermometer has all the kinks worked out. I look at her now... and I see her older sister Rosie. We sure miss Rosie, that girl never in her two years of life was 100% healthy, and was always on meds. Hubby and I were both extremely close to Rosie, one of our earlier babies. Totally miss her, but I sort of feel like she is sort of still with us in Gabby - Gabby and her Sister Lydia both have a bit of Rosie in their looks. But Gabby... she is almost a clone, and has the same personality of Rosie. Or what I would like to think of as a Healthy Rosie.

Next was the goat pen. Look how stunning these two girls are becoming. Camilla and Lady Di.

Camilla really has gorgeous fur. They both do really. I had to run the ad this week for the goats. YEP it really has been hard this time. There are so many of these 17 kids that I don't want to part with. So far no one has come out to see them. That might be because the first two days of the ad... I had my phone number wrong. OOPS. Hubby thinks I did it on purpose. NO I did not.. ;0}

Luke is one of the boys I just adore!!

He is the most outgoing and friendliest of all the babies. But I just love his markings too. Those blue eyes and that zig zag on his face just add so much to his personality. NO I did NOT put the wrong phone number in the ad on purpose...

Watch out... Hubby just fed the goats!!

It is the same routine every night. There are feeding buckets all down the fence. They all know that Hubby walks down the fence and everyone gets fed and there is plenty for everyone. But that first bucket that gets the grain... it is an insane fight to get to it first and get the first of the grain. LOL I love that Shirley is just walking across everyone's heads... and take a look at Lady Di on the top left! Geronimo!!!!  I guess she figured she would just leap and hopefully land close enough to the grain to get a bite! One second later they split and about 1/2 of them realize that the next bucket has feed in it.. and the third... and the fourth... so they thin out enough to eat and not panic. LOL

Our standard - our big baby Teddy or formally Ted E. Bear was standing just outside of the goat pen... Now Dinner for us please.

He would like to think that he is reserved and in total control... but he almost as bad as the goats. He let me snap the photo, and scratch on the backs of his ears. But as soon as he realized that Hubby went out the gate and was 1/2 way to the hay barn... I had to step way back, he was in a hurry!  I think he thinks that if he isn't there to shove on Hubby... bump the door of the barn a few times... and snort and grunt a few times that there is a chance that Hubby could forget to feed him.  No way will that happen Ted. We know that if we forget to give you dinner that your feelings might get hurt. And then you might try and eat my truck - or the side of the barn - or a fence or two. WE will not go into detail why we know that  ok?? (Yes... my truck, the barn and a few fences have Ted bites in them)

Uh oh.. Jolene is done with photo loving time... Dinner NOW please!

Once one group gets fed, there is no waiting to do any other pens....

Thought this was a cute photo. I was trying to get photos of the dogs. They had baths Thursday night and they are all so fluffy and soft! But they love watching all the donkeys and goats get fed. Hearing all the talking... and then barking themselves. But then I saw Tuco and his Mom Libbie standing one the other side of the yard...

Tuco has sure grown up. He is probably going to be closer to Autie's size. But man I love that Blue Merle coloring. Tuco has the copper as well... really stands out on his legs and sides. But the end of his tail knot is copper too. Cracks me up that little end of copper. Libbie sure does look petite, doesn't she.

Whats up for you this weekend? Us... believe it or not. NOTHING! I don't think we have anything planned all weekend. Shocking huh? Today I think we have planned to stay home and just putter around doing a few things that need to be done, but nothing to tough. HA! We both could use a easy day. Honestly a total Re-coop day I could really use. I am not even planning to change out of my worn out baggie sweats - or put make up on! A Nap sounds good too... LOL  Sounds wonderful doesn't it?

Hope you have an easy weekend planned. Or something fun?

Whatever - have a great one!

Whimsy Stamps - Lovin' Alex

Howdy! I colored for fun! Yep, now I was so tired and run down that this card took me a few days to do. LOL But I feel more like me now and last night I finished up this card and started another. Now how could you not have some fun while coloring up Alex?

Hot gal huh? Love these new image from Marika Collins and Whimsy Digital Stamps. Is she perfect for Valentines? Or any "Love" card. I colored her with my Copics, then cut her out. Then I printed a second one and colored it with Copics, but her, I colored in Greys. Then I pop dotted her over the grey image. A shadow effect sort of, right? I added stickles to her necklace. Then Diamond Glaze over the balloons and her lips. :0)

The papers are from Graphic 45. Love the colors in the Bird Song collection. I added some black card stock, and a zig zag stitch with black thread. A black ribbon around the papers. Then I stamped out my sentiment from Whimsy as well. Treasured Moments Tickets, is one of my favorite Whimsy sentiment sets. The Ticket Die to cut it out and then matted with the Fancy Ticket Die. Love that one! I added some Viva Decor Pearl pen to add little pearls.

Here is a close up of Alex -

The inside is left over pieces -

And here are my Copic Colors -

Have you visited Whimsy Stamps lately? WOW there are lots of great new images, and embellishments! And totally loving the new papers!

Trying to catch up on things around here - after two weeks of shows, the house got a bit insane. And then I was not 100% and really didn't have the energy to care at all. LOL But I am doing 95% better and really caring! So today is a cleaning day. And then... I think I deserve more coloring time :0) What are you up to?

Better get busy!

High Hopes and Ribbon Carousel Blog HOP!!

Howdy!

Today we are pairing up with Ribbon Carousel for a fun Blog Hop. Each of the High Hopes DT have used some ribbon from Ribbon Carousel while the Ribbon Carousel DT have each used an image from High Hopes. As you hop along each of the blog, be sure to leave a comment because there is candy from both Ribbon Carousel and High Hopes!

Now if you haven't had a chance to look through the Ribbon Carousel's site... plan a little while! Oh my if you are a ribbon o'haulic like me it is a dream! A Candy Store of beautiful ribbons! I decided to use the gorgeous Pink/Light Pink Reversible Satin Stitched Edged Ribbon. Love the wide size, the heavy feel of the ribbon and adore that it is reversible. Or basically two shades of pink, one ribbon!

Here is my card -

I had lots of fun using the new High Hopes image "Birthday Belle"  - too perfect for way to many ladies that I know! hehe

I colored with my Copics (colors below), added some stickles for some bling and fire glow. And then worked on my card with papers from Prima and the Rondelle collection. I sewed all the pieces together with a zig zag stitch. Then I ran my pretty pink ribbon across the card and tied a big ribbon. I took advantage of the reversible colors when tying to show off the darker side. Close up of the ribbon -

Here are the Copic Colors -

I hope you have fun hoping all around to all the DT's sites and seeing lots of High Hopes images with gorgeous Ribbon Carousel ribbon!
