A Cute Card and a Goodbye~

I think I am starting to get caught up, last night I finished the Cute Card Thursday Challenge and almost finished one other! This weeks Cute Card Thursday Challenge was "Things with Wings". So as long as it has wings and is cute... well this might be a stretch, but I haven't used this stamp in a long long time, so I used it! The chicken has wings... and the three little mice are cute right? I had to point them out to hubby, he nearly missed them under this plump chick! I love the country feel of this stamp, and I always end up doing it with Daisy D's pattern paper, it just feels so right. I did add all of the stitching to the paper to give it more of a quilt feel. I used some scrap ribbons and layered the image on two colors of card stock then pop dotted it off the card some. I was trying to come up with what sentiment to use and then just happen to come across this twill ribbon piece, well it was perfect! The image is colored in with my copic markers and did some highlighting with the spica glitter pens. I am happy with it, and this week that is an accomplishment in its self!



I had to say goodbye to two of my babies last night, these were the first to ever leave me. It was hard, but to hubby's surprise I didn't cry. Julio and Cortez have new owners and I know they will be happy... after all they will live in a 6 acre pen, with trees and lots of grass. And more importantly they will have each other! These brothers are gonna be great friends and play mates for a long time. I am gonna miss them terribly, but they will be happy and I keep telling myself it is all part of the business... right?
