Just Because It's Monday...

Today's Card is for the Tilda & Co. Challenge Blog. The challenge this week was pretty funny to me - stitching. I do my gel pen stitching on practically everything. Some have to ink it, , some destress, but I think my vise is to stitch it. Just my thing at the moment I guess. Anyway I wanted to use my new Magnolia stamp Charmer Edwin, he was just sitting there pleading to be inked. So I inked him up and colored him in with my Copics. His cheeks are really rosey, as he seemed to have the look of a little embarrasment. I high-lighted with Spica Glitter Pens and Sakura Glaze Pens. I cut him in the oval shape by tracing my Spellbinders Nestibilities, I did not want to cut with the dies as I wanted the roses to poke out over the mat. Now for the challenge part of stitching, I thought that I should make it bolder, more of a focus. Well accomplished that, bam... that stitching is a little to bold. Oh well, it is the point. The pattern paper is Chatterbox, and it is two sided, giving me the green for the mat. It is hard to see in the photo but the ribbon has a shimmer to it, and I placed a vintage button on the ribbon then tied a knot and placed it on the ribbon to give the appearance that it is tied through the button. The "Just Because" is from Studio G, one of those fun $1.00 stamps sets that are so popular. The stitching is done with the same Sakura Gel pens, and Uniball white gel pen. Hope they like it, I think he is just adorable... don't forget candy coming later in the week!
